My experience with the dealership was exceptional, everyone was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and no pressure to purchase add-ons. Most people dread the amount of time spent at a dealership however mine was quick and yet provided an opportunity to get familiar with the dealership. Although I live in Huntsville where there is a Chevrolet dealership I opted to drive to Decatur as Lynn Layton has a very good reputation and now I see why.

Upon arriving at the Lynn Layton dealership we were approached by Ron Hardin who asked how he could help. Ron was extremely knowledgeable of the vehicles and the processes. He was respectful of our time and was dogged in helping us find the exact Chevy Trax we wanted.During the process of vehicle shopping, we visited several dealerships. Ron Hardin was the most knowledgeable and attentive salesperson we met. I would not hesitate to recommend Ron and the Layton Dealership to friends and family. Job well done!

I am in the middle of a two-part service experience, the regular maintenance for the vehicle, and a bulletin for a warranty body correction. I have a repair date of 5/13 for the body shop. I am glad to have George to coordinate and explain the "moving parts" to complete the repairs. Can't judge the quality of the work until it is done, but I expect the best. Now that I am dealing with George, my one previous bad experience seems to be in the distant past.

I brought the vehicle in for an issue and ask that I also get an oil change. The window sticker with the due date for the next change was not replaced and the display read that the oil life was at 45%. When I called I was assured that the oil was changed just not reset. I live over 100 miles away so I will bring it back for my next oil change. Hopefully there is not an issue.

Process was super easy. Having the after hours drop box is perfect for me since i live 30 minutes away. Communication was awesome and price for an oil change on my 2016 Corvette was only $75. Will be the only place i have service done on my car.

Bob Shorrod was an amazing sales person, very helpful, informative and not pushy at all. He was very kind and understanding of my situation. Would recommend him to all my family and friends. The buying process was smooth, simple, easy and quick. No pushing products and extra stuff you don't need. Highly recommend Lynn Layton.

I ve yet to have my car repaired so according to the end result I may change my rating but let me explain. First of all, customer relations as in updating or touching base at all has been terrible. Rarely does the collision center answer the phone or return emails. Secondly, my car has been in their shop for three weeks. I need front and back bumper repair and quarter panel repair. I ve been patient, but concerned. Only after a visit to the shop did we find out that there had been no repairs AT all. I fully understand that getting a part might take a minute but you d think that the other repairs would have been done while sitting for 3 weeks. So now, at the visit, they say it maybe can be done by weeks end (Friday) and the visit was Wednesday. This tells me after waiting for this long I m now going to get a rush job. We ve bought at least four brand new vehicles from LL & have used the body shop on one other occasion and were satisfied but this has been unreal!! We shall see if I can change my review (when, however, is questionable) I have NEVER left a bad review on anything but I feel this one is justified.

The Lynn Layton dealership was recommended as a great dealership to service my Corvette. When I was there, another Corvette owner came in for service. While chatting with him, I asked if he was happy with Lynn Layton servicing his Corvette. He started telling me all of the good things the dealership had taken care of. So, that alone made me feel like I had made a good choice.

The service experience was the quickest and most honest experience I ve ever had getting my car serviced. George was friendly, honest and kind.The waiting room was pleasant and provided coffee and water for guests as we waited for our car.It was an excellent experience!

Trash is all I can say. Brought in because of something that should have been warranty work which is what we was told on the phone by George well well well charged 112$ was told brass is normal in a fuel system and then every light on my dash was on never once had a light been on before I would go see a 10 year old child with a plastic tool set before I go see these goons GM is represented very poorly by this place. I got a fuel pump from another dealership and had my mechanic change it in the pictures there is plenty of brass which was told by Lynn Layton service manager that it was fine.

Came in for oil change and tire rotation. Had them check my glove box as it drops down when you open it. Service tech advised me that the plastic was broken on one side. He said it would cost $700 to $800 to fix it. Of course I declined. We are in our late 70's no children or grandchildren to tear something up. In 5 years the box has little use other than registration storage and a few odds and ins. The problem here is the plastic used in this application. Cost of repair is outrageous.

Communication about when vehicle is ready could use improvement. Also, ease the customer s mind when they are explaining issues. Having car problems and not knowing is hard for folks, show some compassion and avoid cutting them off or sounding annoyed when they explain things.

This is my second trip to the service department with my new truck. I realize that the dealership is not to blame for the issues. Evidently, automatic updates to the computer system are failing. This is the second fail. This last time, I was on the road headed to Atlanta. I experienced decreased acceleration. The interstate is the LAST place you want to experience that! On the way home, the truck began to shake violently when accelerating. I pulled to the side of the interstate and turned it off, hoping it would reset. It did not. I managed to get to the next exit and pulled into a Cracker Barrel. I turned it off and let it set longer. The shake went away, but the engine light was still on and I still had decreased acceleration. I was a nervous wreck getting home. I shouldn t have to be afraid to get in a new truck and drive across the country if I want to, but I am. This is the SECOND time. The dealership ordered a new computer for it. Again, this is no fault of the dealership. So far, I m very disappointed in the issues I ve had with a new truck, with less than 3000 miles on it.

I ll preface this by saying I ve spent the better part of the last decade in management at various car dealerships. Lynn Layton Chevrolet does business the right way. My wife purchased a new Tahoe and the experience was exactly what I m looking for when purchasing a new, or used, vehicle. We feel like we got a great deal and it was a quick and painless process. Our sales person was Will Johns and he did a wonderful job helping us select the vehicle and answering all of our questions. Everyone was friendly and helpful from start to finish. Buying a vehicle does not have to be a headache. Do yourself a favor and shop with Lynn Layton Chevrolet, and ask to work with Will Johns.

My family has been doing buisness with Lynn Layton for years. I recently purchased a 2024 equinox, brought it in for my first oil change today and it was busier than I have ever seen it. Service department was slammed and they still got me in and out within an hour and a half. Snooky Hariell was my salesman years ago but now Tyler helps my family. He is great and I highly recommend this dealership if you want a good experience. They go above and beyond.
