Ordered one of their actuator kits for my 18 RAM 3500. Comes with instructions, read them! Working great so far, hopefully continues to do so for a long time! As advertised, no need to have it calibrated by a dealer. There s also a great YouTube video by the Motor City Mechanic for this thing, so go look for that.

I am so happy with my turbo actuator for my 2016 Ram 3500. I had to wait a little while so they could catch up with production, but they called me when they became available, just like they said they would and I had it within a couple of days. The installation wasn t without challenges, but it had nothing to do with the new actuator, and everything to do with a seized bolt that was a pain to get leverage on because of its location. Got it replaced, and it solved my problem. No more engine code and my engine brakes are back to working again. I m very pleased.

DO NOT RELY ON THEIR WARRANTY!One of their turbo actuators failed and they really put in their time and effort to deny the warranty. Was bit surprised, doesn't seem professional.They tried to blame mostly my turbo and possibly few other causes. I ended up buying a stock reman unit and had it installed, calibrated. This reman unit had been going good for nearly 100,000 miles. Disproving their blame on my turbo. I got full boost and engine brake works perfect.They need to realize their product is not magic. It's not perfect. There will always be a bad apple In the batch.

Jason at City Diesel took good care of me walking me through my turbo problems until 8:30 at night! Thought the actuator was faulty but it turned out an integral part in the turbo slipped. He is very knowledgeable about these turbos and actuators! Couldn t ask for better customer service and quality parts

Recieved my actuator for my 2012 ram 2500 6.7 super fast (like a day and half) followed easy instructions and back on the road in no time. I can't recommend them enough!! Put my name and number down since they were on backorder, in less time by a week than they thought I recieved the text and got it ordered. Everyone was super nice and I can't thank them enough, was really missing my truck. Runs great, eb works great and was worth every penny!

I do not know how to express my utmost gratitude to them! They saved our vacation. The turbo actuator was COMPLETELY DEAD. I communicated with them via email (City Diesel) and Jason Clifton responded quite promptly. Unfortunately this happened to me during New Years Eve. However, today January 3rd, 2023 we arrived to their shop, they checked my actuator, and surely enough they confirmed it was broken. They installed a new actuator and now my truck is running great, they deserve a 10 stars I highly recommend city diesel. If you have a bad turbo actuator they have THE BEST TURBO ACTUATOR on the market!Thank you Jason, lots of blessings to you and your team!

Wonderful experience with the people at City Diesel. I called from australia and they were more than happy to ship the item to me. after the call ended the owner went out of his way to check who stocks the part in australia. i appreciate the team at city diesel and i recommend them for all your truck/ute needs

I saved a bundle by bringing my leaking pressure washer hose to these folks. 10 minutes they had a new fitting installed and was on my way. Friendly folks, reasonable prices, 5 stars.

What can you say about so much ingenuity, great products, and the best in customer service? Jackie and the team at City Diesel have gone far above what I have come to expect these days. First off If I could I would give more stars.Initially had suspicion that my actuator was failing. Went out to the internet and discovered City diesel. I call them up and the very polite receptionist sent me to Jason who was willing to help me troubleshoot over the phone and internet. Sent him a video of what I was hearing and we determined that I had a failing turbo or actuator.Ordered a replacement turbo with their actuator on the 12th and it arrive on the 14th.I emailed Jason back asking once they received my core to check it out and let me know what failed.I called just to confirm someone would be checking my core and got to speak to Stanley. Stanley was super nice and helpful the few times I called and had questions. Got a call back from Stanley with details on my core.After getting the turbo installed I called Jason back for some additional questions.Pre and Post customer service is top notch! I m very happy with the product!Shipping was super fast and credit for my core was refunded after inspection.Can t thank City Diesel enough.

Amazing. I got in touch about a cummins actuator, they got me on a list and 3 weeks called me for payment. Called a few times to touch base throughout the order process they answered every time i called. Everyone was friendly and helpful no strings. They got it to my door 2 days later, directions were perfect, product was beautiful machined aluminum and everything went together perfect! Okay products with terrible customer service. I purchased 2 actuator from them for my customers, installed them on 2 turbo chargers that I built, one worked without issue, the second is having an issue. Contacted City Diesel twice, Once I talked with Tim, he was polite, gave me a tip and I went to try, unfortunately it did not work. Called the next day and spoke with Jason who was very impatient, impolite and rude. He blamed the issue on the turbo I built, despite a decade of experience and several certificates from Holset, Borg and Garret. He ended up getting frustrated and hung up on me, not caring to hear the whole story. Personally as a shop owner I can tell you id never recommend purchasing anything from City Diesel as if you have a problem with their products they will argue that their products are perfect and the issue must be with something else.1/10 - Customer service5/10 products as 50% of the products failed.New Holset actuator was installed and successfully programmed with ease only proving that the turbo was assembled correctly, and the actuator provided by City Diesel did in fact have a flaw that they refused to accept.I am currently waiting for the owner Jackie to call me back, I will update review if necessaryUPDATE: As for the reply, I never refused for you to take the actuator back, I instead wanted you (Jason) to take the time and explain how this is working and if I am seeing what is happening here correctly, instead your arrogance foreshadowed your expertise and you decided to hang up the phone when I had said nothing to offend you.I have the Jig for aligning the vane nozzle to the sector arm, I checked and rechecked that positioning several times before and after calling and confirmed it was positioned correctly which I explained over the phone.I was able to calibrate a new holset actuator to the turbo which passed Cummins pre-align and final calibration using Cummins Insite, my customer wanted your actuator as he said it was "superior"Dont start throwing out lies saying I declined anything, as I didn't even have the time to even do so with how quick you ended the conversation, did you provide an address to send it to? no..Also I did not ask you for an instructional video on how to build a turbo, I have built a lot of these and many others, I've been to Holset training, Garret, and Borg Warner and have the certifications to prove it with a lot more intuitive manuals then you could provide.The issue in my opinion was resolved the moment you hung up the phone, I told my customer that the actuator you sent had an issue and instead of trying to help you hung up and we instead went with a new Holset actuator and its running fantastic now.I have used your actuator many time in the past and I have had to call your customer service many a time when I was working for another shop and never ever was treated with such disrespect.My only suggestion is there are courses on how to do customer service in an effective and polite manner, perhaps that's something you should look into.You can expect I will return this actuator, you can do all the testing you want at that point.However I can tell you that my shop and other shops I know in Alberta will not be pursuing any sales further with you after the treatment received on the phone.To anyone who reads this review, in my history I've purchased well over 10 of these actuators with another shop and this was the first time I had an issue with installing it. The actuator is a great actuator, I am not saying that City Diesels products are bad. However the treatment over the phone when trying to ask why I having the issue I'm having was met with ignorance, and instead of transferring me to someone who might be able to rectify the issue Jason of City Diesel simply did not want to deal with it and hung up. Not great after sales customer service.

We have a 2018 ram 5500 rollback and our engine light was on , had a turbo issue, I had done some research on the engine code and found that the turbo actuator or turbo itself may be bad, I stumbled upon City Diesels website and saw that they produce an actuator that required no programming, I purchased the unit and we were able to install the unit ourselves with the help of a great tutorial video, just can't thank them enough. We saved over $3000.00! The local shops wanted to replace both the turbocharger and actuator, from what I had read it is typically the actuator. Thank you for a great product with no programming. Truck runs great and engine light is off.

Broke down while traveling! Called spoke with owner he said have it towed to me and I ll try to help you . Well his try turned into stopping his mechanics instantly to help me get back going. Super nice people and very thankful they helped me on my way so fast!! Couldn t ask for a better experience and so thankful for their help. Highly recommend this place! This review is for City Diesel 2215 Gordon Terry Pkwy Decatur, ALService: Replaced all 8 Fuel Injectors, PC3 pump, and some rubber hoses on our 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 6.6 Liter Turbo Diesel with 194,271 miles on truck at the time, in April 2022 for $5,705 (parts $4,023, labor $1,320, tax $362). Jacky, Eric, and Warren took great care of us. It was an emergency situation for us being out-of-towners heading north for summer jobs. They were able to get parts and fit us in their busy schedule within 2 days of contacting them, and the exceptional work was done in 2 days. Writing this review in May 2023 (over a year later) and all is still going very well! Hope not to jinx it now! LOL!

Gentleman in the hose shop was helpful to a new business owner. Brought my fitting I needed with me and he got me the plugs I needed for my hydraulic lines. Easy experience. Reasonably priced. Cost me $2 for 4 plugs. I was expecting parts house prices. Nice, fair guys. My business was referred by Skip Van Pamel of Veep Electric great recommendation and great folks. I'll be back for similar items - they had the fitting I needed - when others did not - for a great price.Service: General repairs & maintenance

On 7-6-2023 our truck broke down in Decatur Alabama!we were comeing from mich to see my son ! Had a hr to go and the diesel fuel line broke! They close at 5 and was 21/2 miles away from where we broke down at! It was 4:45 and was raining hard!asked him if he could deliver! At 5:30 he showed up with the part and saved us alot of grief of sleeping in the truck all night and not knowing the town! Thank you sir for this we will never foreget your kindness!beleave his initials were KW!

Needed a Turbo actuator for my 2018 Ram 2500, so after watching a few YouTube videos it sounded like City Diesel had the answer to Chrysler's monumental Actuator failure issue. I called City Diesel and they said it would be about 2 weeks and asked if they could text me when the part was ready to ship. Two weeks later, I received a text, I called the number and the gal who helped me was very nice, in fact something was off with my card and she called me back to get it straight, the part showed up about 5 days later. Installation was on par for this job and it fixed my issue immediately. Highly recommend this product by City Diesel for the Ram/Cummins actuator issues. Now, if only Chrysler/Fiat corp would own up to their disastrous failure here, I would consider buying another one of their vehicles but not likely.

It s just like they say you always communicate with someone whether it s by phone or by email. City Diesel service was excellent also received by actuator by mail (ground) pretty quick. Instructions were easy to understand and so far so good. And I forgot to mention I have EFI LIVE on my 2015 Ram 6.7 how ever it works together all I can say is my truck rides awesome. I was having problems with my 2014 Dodge 6.7 diesel. Stopped at City Diesel while traveling from Kentucky to Florida. They are normally very busy but they got me in the shop and back on the road in just a few hours. Highly recommend this company if you want top notch work. My turbo actuator is working perfectly now since it was replaced. The truck pulls great and the exhaust brake works better than ever.Big thanks to the crew at City Diesel!!Service: Engine repair

They are really quick to take your money but when their product fails they will say anything to not honor their warranty, they only last less then a year the quality of the product is not good. I had replaced my actuator with one from City Diesel, the first one only lasted 2 weeks due to a circuit board frying. I called to do a warranty swap, City Diesel blamed my turbo for the failure. My turbo had just been swapped for one from Cummings, so I knew that wasn't the issue. City Diesel wanted me to purchase a new actuator and send the old one back and IF it was their fault they would refund my money for the new one. Got the second one and now not even a year later it has failed again. Don't waste your time or money, what I have spent in mechanics and time lost for work I could have purchased a new one directly from Cummings, or a second generation swap if you don't to deal with the actuator.Services: Exhaust, Engine repair

Outstanding work done on my 6.0, Bennett Clark, called and explained what work was done. He is very knowledgeable and explained my engine and it's repair in understandable terms.I have been doing business with City Diesel since 1999, they know Diesel engines! They are very honest and reliable , great mechanical business. I can not say enough about them being trustworthy and reputable, I highly recommend City Diesel.

Man let me tell yall bout the guys down city diesel. These guys will make you a hose,build you a turbo,some injectors,just about any thing you need for a diesel engine. Go see the them they will fix you up for fair price and do it fast. Tell them you heard about them from Diesel Doctors down athens way see you there.
