Today my husband left work and had nail in his tire. Thank goodness Vulcan was still open. They patched it up in no time. So nice!! We always use them for our car needs. Super convenient and always answers our questions. We love them!!

I've shopped at Vulcan for years (going back to the Estes days) I've finally had enough. The front desk team is always welcoming, but once it gets down to talking turkey, I feel like I'm getting hustled...and this year I was. God bless them and their business, but I'm returning to Costco Vulcan can't touch their customer service, transparency, and all-around value.

(Trussville Branch). My wife went to have an alignment issue on a 22 Armada fixed. It started pulling the opposite direction after the alignment. She went back in to get it corrected, to which it started to pull in the original direction after the 2nd attempt. She went in for a 3rd time and Griffin, the manager, and Rusty began to mock her. Asking her if she was going to wait for the service would she be pacing the floor during the service and asking questions. Griffin asked her that to which Rusty began to smile because he thought it was funny. Of course they would deny it. I spoke with Griffin on the phone and he repeatedly called me my man , which I told him I wasn t his man. This is all a week after I ordered tires from them (Rusty) and he ordered the wrong tires and put them on. Didn t realize it until I picked up my vehicle while they were closing. And I didn t notice because I was disturbed that they cracked my oil filter casing and had to replace it. They cracked it because they told me I didn t have to pay to replace it. I wouldn t recommend Vulcan. And if J Estes wants to contact me, the store will have that information.

I dont generally write long reviews, but this place is worth it.I generally work on all my own cars , but when it comes to tires and recently oil changes you can't beat these guys on price. They are super friendly , helpful, and went out of the way to make sure my tires were in stock.I have recommended them to everyone and will continue to use them myself. I got tires and a synthetic oil change for 20$ less than other places wanted tires alone.Deffinnately a positive experience and will continue to use them.

Original estimate they gave me was $430. They had my truck 3 hours. I looked the parts up that were on the invoice and the high price for these parts was $125. But they gave me a bill for $615. That s $155 an hour for labor. But they said they charge $120 per hour, which is still high. Average mechanic work is $80 - $100. So I m not sure this is an honest place to do business? Looks like they padded the bill about an extra $150. I will go elsewhere next time.

So it seems that they have all the customers that they need. I never been refused a tire rotation because of the age of my tires. I bought these tires from them less than 6 years ago, I am retired and don't have to drive every day anymore. So yes my tires are in great condition, but they are to old for vulcan to deal with. No problem...my business and my kids,,grandkids,,family and friends that I so happily referred to vulcan will take our business elsewhere.

Very disappointed with the business practice and not knowing what they are doing at this place. I ordered new tire and wheels that came ready to put on so I did and went to Vulcan tires in Trussville for a alignment in November of 2021, drove home and didn't feel right, so the next day drove to work on the freeway and just didn't feel right, even my gas mileagewas off. So took it back and they put it back on to check the alignment and said it was good was and just me, well it wasn't me by Dec 30, 2022 my outside tread on my all terrain front tire on both was worn down so I took my truck to Serra Toyota and let them aligned it and it was 56 out on one side and 36 out on the other and out of center. When I went up to Vulcan to see about reimbursement on a warrant alignment, their answer we don't see ourselves accountable for this because you have fourteen thousand miles on brand new tires and you could have been riding on the shoulder or a bad Road. Mind you my tires were not cheap Falken all-terrain guarantee for 55,000 and I drive on the freeway and highways. These are hard times and I had to work hard to buy my tires and for a company to mess up your vehicle and be childish about it and say prove we did it, when I brought it back the first go around before it got bad. This is the first time I've ever been so disgusted with a company and go online and give a review, just my warning to others.

Went in for a tire after a blow out in Birmingham and Clay and his team took care of me in the most incredible way. These guys rock and do it with style and have the best customer service around. Well done guys and would definitely recommend them.

Buyer Beware of this place. My son is off at college and his truck overheated. Not knowing any local shops he took it to Vulcan and was charged $624.38. I took the bill to two shops I deal with back home and both say we were gouged. Charged $100 for a part that is $40 at Autozone right now and $25 for a hose connector that is $5. Also charged $220 labor on a heater hose install. Bottom line is my son was charged double what he should have been. This is only the second negative review I have ever left a business but overcharging someone in a bad situation is terrible. Save your money and use someone else.

I have used Vulcan Tire in Trussville twice in the past few months. I had a tire failure while on I-59/459, and had my car taken there by road service. Rusty, Garrett and the entire crew were outstanding throughout this entire unplanned service event. Today I called to have another tire replaced due to a slow leak (from a sidewall nail), and they once again provided me with excellent, courteous, and friendly service. I dropped my car off and within less than an hour, my car was ready to go! Thanks Vulcan Trussville team for providing me with OUTSTANDING service twice. Definitely will use them again!!!!

Worked with Clay and Griffin to install a new set of tires, front brake pads, and oil/filter change on my 2019 F150. They got me scheduled in the day after contacting them and work was completed within ~2 hours. They were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely recommend using Vulcan for your automotive needs.

Was out of town today my wife was trying to get our Armada serviced before a camping trip. She went to Vulcan tire, which we have only used once before to patch a hole in a tire. She said the staff was very friendly performed the oil and tire rotation with no problem. Then they informed her that the back brakes on her Armada we're wearing so thin that they were digging into the rotor, and cautioned her, that if she was going to be pulling a camper, that there was no way he would let his wife pull a camper with those brakes. Fortunately she called me before she authorized the repair as it was $400 for back brakes and rotors. I stopped by Advanced Auto Parts on my way home picked up new rotors and brake pads. When I got home I jacked the back of her Armada up pull the tires off to perform a brake service on the back. Lo and behold the pads still had half of their life left, and the rotors were in very good shape. I went ahead and changed the pads because I already had them off and it was only $45 from advance. And put them on the truck 45min later the job is done for $45. That being said the parts would have been $230 for pads and rotors, if the rotors needed replacing their estimate is reasonable, In this case they did not need replacing. I do not appreciate an automotive shop up selling people on service they don't need. If i can figure out how to attach pictures of the pads to this review, I will.

Great experience with Jeff and his team. Treated with respect and a great attitude. Fantastic price and service for new tires and alignment . Will definitely continue to use them in the future. As a female without much car knowledge, I completely felt comfortable with Jeff s tire and service recommendations for my vehicle. By far the best tire and service experience I have had before!

Great place & great prices! The facility is very accommodating with cubicles for you to work in, rather privately. They keep everything very clean & neat. The guys are very professional & helpful. Their prices are great, even better that what I could find online. I asked for an online quote & received a very competitive price within a couple hours, without any other contact. They did not harass me, but we're knowledgeable & cooperative when I called them back to complete the order. They had my tires in for an install the next morning. Great experience & highly recommend to anyone needing service.

These guys are second to none. Superior. I came in to have a couple used tires put on my daddy's pickup that I've been driving for the last two years while I save to fix my little car. All of the tires on my truck were bald and to be honest, it was unsafe for new to be driving around in (but, when you're a broke single mama, ya kinda gotta deal with what ya got.) Jeff came out and showed genuine concern for my safety. Concern I'd never see in any other shop. I told him I would take care of the front tires when I could, and to just go ahead and replace the back tires as planned. A good Samaritan paid for two new tires for the front of my pickup. Jeff waited to tell me, and it took everything in me to not jump the counter and hug him. Not only did this man show how much he cares for others, but he made a surprise mean so much more than he could have ever imagined. The men who work at this shop are amazing, with hearts of gold, and I for one will be visiting them will all of my vehicle needs, as well as recommending them to everyone I know. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for being a part of such a magical day. Merry Christmas and a very blessed New Year to all of you!!

I had a blowout on a road trip from Florida to Minnesota on a Friday evening. After checking reviews from my hotel I showed up at 7:45 am at Vulcan hoping to get help without an appointment. Jeff didn't have my size tires in stock but after hearing my problem offered to go to the warehouse and get them for my vehicle. After he left to the warehouse his crew took the car in and stripped off the old tires to keep from wasting any time. I was out of there by 9:15am with 4 new tires at a reasonable price to get back on my trip to Minnesota.Great service at a reasonable price. Thanks to Jeff and his crew for going out of their way to provide great customer service!Chris

Visiting from Maryland my Van's check engine light came on. Had it scanned and found one of the coils was bad. They replaced it for me quickly on a Saturday morning and I still made it to Barbed vintage festival. The guys where very professional and friendly to everyone that came in. I am only here once a year and they new that and still treated me like I was their neighbor. Highly recommend. Thanks again gentlemen.

Traveling from out of state I went to Vulcan tire to have a low tire checked out. I was impressed with the clean waiting room where free coffee, bottles of water, popcorn, mints and a work space for privacy was available for the customer. The employee was super nice and polite and after checking my tire for a puncture did not charge me for the service. I really appreciated their honesty. They could have told me I needed a new tire and taken advantage of the fact that I was from out of state. I would recommend this business to anyone needing tires or car their car serviced.

This is the best auto shop I have used in years. I have always had prompt and polite service. I also have always been treated fairly and with respect and the repairs are good and fairly priced. I couldn't recommend them more.

I had high expectations for this place as every review I have read has been very good; however, my experience was that everything was just a little off.I was quoted for tires, brake pads, windshield wipers, and an oil change from an employee over the phone. After calling around I decided Vulcan offered me the best deal all together. However, when I arrived the following day, I left my car and walked to Starbucks only to receive a call 45 mins later telling me the wrong tires had been ordered for my car. They did tell me that I did not need brakes which was appreciated that they didn't just service them to make money. Also, they were very kind and told me they would look at my backup camera when they serviced my car since it was acting up and Ford would;d not service it.I wasn't thrilled obviously that I had wasted my time, but I know mistakes happen, so I tried to take the mix up in stride. I was told I could come at any point Saturday morning (the next day) and I would receive "the red carpet treatment" and immediately be fit in.So, that's what I did. I arrived the next morning around 10 a.m. and figured I would get worked in quickly. Instead, I was greeted kindly by a gentleman who seemed confused by me being there and obviously had not been told I was coming. Additionally, he told me my tires were not at the shop but should arrive soon. I thought it would have been nice of them to tell me that my tires may not be there if I arrive early instead of saying I could come "at any time."I once again went to a store to wait, and it was a couple hours before I got the call that I was ready. When I arrived, I was told the price wpuld be a number that was only around $80 cheaper than my initial quote. I asked if brake service was only $80 and was told no that it was $180 (I believe this number is right), but the employee could not figure out why my total was only $80 less even though nothing changed other than the brakes coming off. He apologized and said "make sure you come back and we will take care of you" which would be more believable if he had written my name or number down, but I am obviously not going to say "hey I am that guy you said you would 'take care of' 8 months ago."To add another small deal on top of everything he informed me they forgot to look at my backup camera when I asked as I paid..Overall, I actually get the feeling this is a good place. There are just too many good reviews for it not to be. The staff was also extremely kind to me and seemed to want to help. However, things went wrong at every step of the process, and I felt like everything to do with me lacked detail and consistency. Hopefully, it was just an off day in my case.

I recently took my truck to Vulcan in Trussville for a strange sound around my engine. They told me my AC compressor was seized up and later that the engine needed to be replaced as well. I took it to a different mechanic and he found that it was a problem with my starter and power steering pump. Once we got the starter and power steering pump replaced my truck has been running fine. It was neither an engine or AC compressor as the employees at Vulcan had told me. I didn't receive good advice on what was going on with my vehicle and if I didn't take it somewhere else, it would have cost me a lot more money.

Vulcan Tire & Automotive is top notch! I've only had to use them a couple of times since I first learned about them, but I've purchased tires and I've had some routine maintenance (oil change & brakes) done on one of my vehicles. Both experiences were great. Friendly and speedy service, a very clean lobby, with free coffee, bottled water, and popcorn, great prices on tires and services... All reasons I'll be returning for any of my automotive needs.

These guys are top notch. I am one of those pretentious know it alls who takes weeks to make a decision on my street/strip cars. Alignment and tires are the only things I do not do myself. I was quite pleased with my results.I compared cost of service with other local shops and found Vulcan to be competitive with other trusted service shops. There were cheaper places but trust me when I say the $15-25 difference was well worth it. They still were more reasonable than some. You get what you pay for and at Vulcan it seems you get a little extra. They even offered to patch a tire(that I did not buy from them) for Free.I am coming back soon for a set of new tires which is another thing Vulcan has locked down. I was quoted a better price for a set of four new tires than I could find used. And they are new not half worn!!!All in all I find myself willing to drive across town just to be a Vulcan Tire and Automotive patron.
