Jennifer was knowledgeable and they only gently recommended what I needed. I got two new tires as well as a belt, and they gave me a fair price after noting only two of mine were nearly bald again, no pressure to get all four, earned my trust.

Service Manager, Jennifer was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I purchased four new Starfire Solaris tires three days ago, and too soon for me to determine if this was a good buy......Time will tell.Jennifer's customer service was outstanding.

A few months ago I bought a new car. It's a 2021. I moved about a month ago, which is 2 hours from "home." I had a Dr appt (94 miles one way) & almost made it there before my brakes went out. It was so scary & I had no clue what to do. I had it towed to Pep Boys bc they were the closest. I'm so glad I went with them. They have been so wonderful & so helpful throughout all of this. My fix is not an easy or cheap one but they've handled everything for me. I highly recommend them!

I brought my car in to be repaired after a minor accident, l paid 3,000 dollars to get my car fixed and the first day I got it back my steering wheel wouldn't turn all the way around so I brought it back in to get a 40 dollar inspection, the same inspection they did last time, and they said it would cost another 3,000 dollars to get the rest repaired even though I was told my car was repaired the first time. Either the mechanics are terrible at their job or they are SCAMMING people to keep coming back for overpriced repairs, either way this shop needs to be INVESTIGATED or SHUT DOWN immediately, PLEASE DO NOT give them any more of your money or your business they will try to screw you over with a smile on their face

Great service from this location. I had them do a ton of work on my truck and they finished exponentially faster than expected. Everything seems to working great. Prices are a little high on some things, but it's worth the extra cost to know they're doing it correctly.

Got stuck in Birmingham with a flat tire, and was looking at a two hour drive home on the spare tire- yikes. Called Pep Boys to see if they could fit me in, and they fixed my tire way faster than I expected for a walk-in, and provided great customer service the entire time! Thank You!!!

Bill seemed high and noticed they charged me $25 for $6 fuel cleaner that I didn t ask for or agree to. I called to discuss. They told me to talk to the manager Jen at 7 AM. I m here at seven and they re closed. Wow we were just trying out a new place and even got screwed over on Black Friday. Can t win with these places. I ll just dispute through my credit card company if they don t reach out to me within 72 hours as the oil change itself already took two hours of my time. Will remove review if they refund and give free oil change next time.

Driving through from out of state and got a flat. Called them, they talked me through how to get to them then even stayed open late to fix my tire and get me back on the road safely. Highly recommend!!

while traveling to Alabama; I was able to book an appointment with Pep Boys to get brake pads replaced. It was easy to book and the next morning. They made the process simple and efficient to complete. I appreciate their time and the technicians who took the time to get my vehicle in and out within a decent timeframe.

Took my Tahoe in to get a system check ($100.00) was told that my Alternator was over charging my battery and new spark plugs & wires were going to cost me $1213.00. Went to get a second opinion at other repair shops.

Great customer service. And they dont pressure or upsale you. Scheduling an appointment seems to be useless though. I booked a 9:30a appointment for an oilchange. I came at my appointment time only to find out they were hours behind. My car wasn't finished until 1p. Luckily I work close by so i was able to get someone to pick me up and drop me back off.

Store #1643We just moved to the area recently and have a big 3500 dually truck. We have been to a several mechanics to have a tire rotation and alignment but they were unable to do the work because they didn't have big enough equipment. Wesley at this PepBoys was absolutely amazing!!!! Not only having the equipment to work on our truck it was done extremely fast and for the best price we have ever paid since having this truck. If you have a truck with big hips and a long bed and you live in the Birmingham area you need to take your truck here!!!!!

Went to get a front end alignment & front brakes replaced. Went back right before they closed to pick up my car and I saw the mechanic putting it back on the rack. He said it was making a noise when he put it in reverse so he wanted to check it out because he didn t feel right about giving me the car back like that. They had been closed for 30 mins by this point. He also said that I needed to get my rotors resurfaced and he didn t mind staying and taking care of it right then if I didn t mind waiting. So that s what I did! I really appreciate him being honest with me and checking the car out again and staying over another hour until it was right. Most businesses wouldn t do that. His name is Donta btw.

Don t waste time making an appointment here!!!Had an appointment in middle of the week for oil change and alignment. When I arrived the person at the front stated there just wasn t any way they would be able to get to it that day and the alignment person wasn t there. Ok, no biggie. Rescheduled for Saturday when they said the person would be there. Dropped my car off about 15 mins before the appointment. Was over 4 hours later before they even brought my car into the bay, and then they informed me the alignment guy wasn t there so they couldn t do that. Before the car had even been lifted all the way and the old oil drained, I received a text stating my vehicle was ready for pickup. 5 hours after my appointment time, and still waiting on it to complete.What s the point of making an appointment??? Def wouldn t recommend this location

I had an appointment for 4pm. Showed up 10 minutes early to drop off my car and walk to the Walmart up the street, the worker on hand did not give me any ETA. After walking around the Walmart for over an hour I assumed they would have at least had my car in the service bay. When I got back they had not even touched my car and the worker that took my keys said nothing to me as I went to sit down and wait. Another hour passed and the worker came laughing to me and said they wouldn't be able to get to my car and I would have to come back tomorrow, he did not offer to schedule a time for tomorrow nor did he ask if I wished to leave my car overnight. This is probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I will never be returning to this or any Pep Boys.

I took my car to this location for routine maintenance on 9-12-23. I have experienced some problems at this location over the past two years, but that seems to have been corrected. Jen at the front desk was great and my vehicle was serviced promptly. Glad they are back to the great service I used to receive.

Came in for a front-end, and not only did the tech do a great job, but tightened up my joints which is a major life saver(figuratively, and literally). The service manger was friendly and helpful, coming back.

Pep Boys on Montclair in Birmingham Alabama. Rick is comforting, timely and knowledgeable of his products. He helped me find suitable tires for my vehicle. Rick helping gave me relief of the tire pricing I was able to match the tires with other dealerships to get the best price. Thank you Pep Boys for hiring Rick Also, he is respectfulI want to add moreWow wow and wow Pep Boys on Montclair in Birmingham Alabama. Rica is a jewel with patience and respect. While, Rick put my tires on my car Rica helped me in the payment which should have been easy. But but not so I was not prepared with my credit card. Rica tried more than four or five times to get the card to clear for some reason it wouldn t. I apologize each time Rica never never showed irritation Rica continued to help with no complaints. I finally gave cash to stop the credit card harassment. The card showed good and had enough money but would mot clear. Thank you Pep Boys for hiring Rica. Rica made today less hectic

I scheduled my appointment online which is a great option. I arrived with my car. Rick was there and very helpful. They diagnosed my issue and repaired it much quicker than I expected. I have been to this location numerous times, and Rick is always above and beyond professional, kind and courteous.

The CJ and Ron are great!! I come to this location all the time. The issue is that I had to buy new tires and the manager didn't take the time to offer a warranty and I had no idea I needed until, as luck would have it I got a nail in the tire within 3 days and the same manager wasn't even willing to fix the nail. I'm just so disappointed that I spent all that money to get new tires, brakes, an oil change and you couldn't even offer a warranty.

I went to PepBoys Irondale Alabama location on August 31 2023 to replace a headlight bulb. A friend said he'd do it, but I wanted a professional company to do the work.HA!While they did manage to replace the headlight bulb they then destroyed my tire pressure monitor and now the car constantly thinks I have flat tires. As soon as I can find the time I'll pay my regular mechanic to fix what PepBoys destroyed.I do not suggest anyone go to this PepBoys since it's going to end up costing more to fix what they broke.than I can imagine.Updated 9/5/23: The office manager is Jennifer and does a great job. A few days ago she invited me to come back and said her best mechanic would look into the problem.After about forty minutes she said the best mechanic said everything was okay now.I was happy until I started the car and noticed the same tire pressure warning light was still on.Sooooo, I still need to have my regular mechanic fix what PepBoys broke.

Great work on the car, was easy making an appointment online for an alignment. Took only about 45-60 mins. Im not sure only because I got up after 60 mins, seeing my car already parked outside and the guy wasn't at his desk. The mechanic said he was in the rest room, was gone for around 30 mins. I get if they have to take a break, but the lead mechanic should be able to do some basic checkouts so people aren't waiting around.
