First of all, let me say we came here because we heard they were a great mechanic shop. We took our GMC to get checked out with a "full inspection" and they diagnosed it with a bad motor. They said the motor was bad and needed to be replaced but everything else looked good and was in good shape.$7,000 later, we get it back. I would love to say there were no issues but there were. Minor things with the motor but had to be brought back 3 times.Fast forward THREE MONTHS and the transmission goes out on an uphill bridge in 5:00 traffic, leaving me and my 3 year old stranded. Livid would be an understatement. It literally put us in danger. You would think with 7,000 worth of work that you'll get more than 3 months out of it! We get it towed home and called Murdock and they sent a tow truck to get it since it was undrivable.Gets to their shop, bad transmission. But.. "we don't do transmission work." So basically tough luck. $7,000 down the drain based off of "expert" opinion and diagnosis. What happened to everything else being in good shape? Why not tell us you didn't even check the transmission?? We trusted them! Now it's a $7,000 lawn ornament. Oh and on top of that, since it wasn't the engine and not "their problem", we have to pay the $400 towing fee they said they were paying to get it towed to them. We towed it back home again ourselves. So the total amount wasted was $7,800. If that's chump change for you, great but it really put us behind financially and with no vehicle to show for it.Don't waste your time or money. Take it to an actual master mechanic. Don't learn the same hard lesson we did. This has been the biggest headache.They blame us "for having an old car" so get ready for that reply to this review.

I used to really love this place. Brian Murdock is a great man. I went to school with his son, who is now the main person at the business, and I am honestly astonished at how poor his customer service is. They have lost almost all of their employees that they had for years, I m assuming because Nathan Murdock doesn t know how to treat employees. He certainly doesn t know how to treat customers. This place used to deserve 5 stars, but I would rather get my work done at express where their employees change every 2 months. Nathan Murdock is a joke and he is ruining his father s name and his once wonderful and thriving business. Brian needs to reconsider giving him any authority or even allowing him to work at all.

The Murdock team has done the maintenance on my cars for years now. As a busy real estate agent it s easy to get in and out, and come back later for pick up. They re fast, friendly, and always do a great job. Thanks Murdock!

Driving home from shopping with my with in her car when the tire pressure warning came on. Murdock Tire and Auto was right on my way home. Stopped by and went inside and asked if he could check my tire pressures. Nathan was the gentleman I was speaking with. He had me pull around to the garage and he checked and set all of the tires for us at no charge. It was very windy and raining but he didn t seem to mind a bit.I give Nathan 5 stars for taking care of us and I would recommend them to anyone in need of repairs or tires.

I had my SUV repaired here last yr and they did an excellent job but what has made me a lifelong customer is I took my son up there to have his brakes checked today and they said it only needed brake fluid and they filled it and didn't charge him. Of course I should have looked but for them to be honest and not rip him off. I appreciate the honesty and they have future customers in us for sure.Update. Not pleased with last visit so I'll change the stars from 5 to 3. Also had a family member take their used car in and once the work was completed and the car was picked up the guy behind the counter said See you soon. Completely uncalled for. Was going to let that slide until my own bad experience. Disappointing! Especially after having good pre covid experiences. Changing to 2 stars

I would like to say Thank you! I walked in ready to pay whatever amount to get my car fixed. I thought I may needed ball joints or even a tire rod. After looking at my vehicle it was determined that I only had bolts that maybe had loosened over time. I was so excited that I told them to do an oil change. Walked out the door smiling! Noise is gone! I would definitely use them again and recommend others to do the same.. again THANK YOU

Brian Murdock and the entire staff at Murdock Tire are always very professional. I have always been pleased with the quality of service I receive and how they value your time as a customer. Still the best prices on oil changes and many other maintenance items anywhere.

Affordable and helpful! Plus three televisions in the waiting area so everybody s happy. Made blowing a tire in Trussville traffic bearable!

Absolutely love this place!! I take all my vehicles here and not only is service always great, but they are very convenient as well. I have always had the most pleasant experience every time I go. The guys there are very knowledgeable and very honest. I can't leave this out but my last visit as I was being nosey lol there's a very nice young lady that also works there and there was a customer that came in for tires. Well long story short this young lady had just bought tires I'm assuming they were for her personal car but she gave those tires to that customer and at that moment I looked over at my son and said I LOVE THIS PLACE You all keep continuing to provide exceptional customer service and this business will always remain GREAT!! Thank each and every one of you for what you have done for me and what you all continue to do for others Sincerely the lady with the 2011 BMW X5 that always has a ton of questions LOL thank you guys for being so awesome!!

Customer be aware.I got an oil change and when i checked my oil it was a whole quart low. My daughter car was the same. We didn't have any oil leaks. They shortening you on oil to make a profit, cause most people don't check there oil after getting an oil change.Seem like they want to mess your car up in hopes that you will bring it back to them so they can charge you a lot of money. They want get the opportunity to do this again cause i want be going back. Customers you have been warn. The one on old Springville road in Birmingham alabama

I come in for regular oil changes and they never try to upsale. I asked if I needed an air filter they said no not this time. Professional and the nicest customer waiting room. Everything is so clean.
