Have used them 4 different times they do excellent work, actually flawless work. The staff great they keep you updated on progress of your vehicle. Would like to add if you're in a hurry and don't care about the quality of your repairs joe Hudson is not your place. So be patient the outcome is worth it.

Pleasant staff, but had to bring my wife s car back four times to fix things that either hadn t been fixed from the get-go or things that were screwed up by their technicians. Would not recommend.

I took my SUV to Joe Hudson's in Downtown BHM for a repair. Everyone was professional and friendly from start to finish and my insurance claim was hassle free. All of my questions were answered ahead of time. They kept me up to date throughout the repair process and had my vehicle was ready ahead of schedule. It looked brand new when I picked it up! As a repeat customer, I highly recommend Joe Hudson's.

I had a great experience with Joe Hudson Collision on 6th Ave S in Birmingham. From the time the insurance company reached out to JHC to the time I picked up my car, I had a great experience with the staff. They even called Enterprise to pick up my rental! I attempted to get my vehicle repaired at the downtown Southside Birmingham location, after going to the collision center to get my estimate I got a scheduled date to turn the car in for repair then they did another estimate on the car that took the repairs up twice as much it would have never blown up to be found out that this was a regular practice of there's if not for the car being a total lost then the finance company just wants there money and the insurance company wanted the car all because Joe Hudson tried to get more money sad

Not trustworthy as employees nor as managers, just think of what will happen with your vehicle. I was done completely wrong by this company. If you value honesty and good work, you may want to look elsewhere. They lie about why production is slowed, they lie about your vehicle status in the text updates and this is all a reflection of the office manager, Kayla Neri. My complaints went unanswered and I was treated unfairly. Do not go here or any other location. It s domino effect through the entire company. If you value great and honest service, do not trust this company to give it to you.

They did a great job on my vehicle and communicated throughout the process. I was pleased with their customer service and chose to try them over Trussville collision which was closer to me because I was not happy with my previous interactions. Joe Hudson was professional and courteous.

UPDATE: I did get my car back the last Friday they told me it would be complete. The manager, Josh, was very helpful in making sure it was done and my car looked brand new when I picked it up. I'm still not happy about the scheduling delays, but they did do a good job in the end.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------TLDR: This company does not communicate at all, lies about parts being in/not being in, promises a completion date and surpasses it many times with no apology or decent explanation. When I call for an update, no one knows the status because they are completely unorganized and seem to have no idea how to run a business. It takes hours for them to get back to me with a "status" but even then, are very vague about why the completion date is being pushed out. It's very clear that this place doesn't care at all about their customers and I wouldn't come here if my car was on fire.Full Story:My insurance company recommended that I go to this place when I had an accident in April (yes, APRIL. It is now October). I went to get an estimate shortly after the accident and I was told that it could take months to get my parts in, so I should take my car with me and they would call me when the parts were in. Months later (in August), I called them to ask if the parts were in. I was then told that they don't order parts in advance and only do so when the car is in their possession and I couldn't get an appointment until October for my repair. Apparently the person who lied to me and told me they were ordering parts was let go, but the fact that I could have had my car repaired much earlier is RIDICULOUS.I took my car in on a Monday and was told that it would be ready by Friday. No communication at all, I had to call them and check in. I was told that it would not be ready by Friday and would instead be ready the following Wednesday. Lo and behold, I called them on Wednesday (again, no communication from them), and they said it wouldn't be ready until Friday. I turned my rental car in on Wednesday because I could go without a car for two days and didn't want to keep paying for it. I then called again on Friday and was told, yet again, that it wasn't ready and would be ready on Monday. Once again, I called them this morning (Monday) and it is STILL not ready and will most likely be ready on Thursday or Friday, but I don't even believe that. My car has been with them now for 15 days and counting (and I've been without a car at all for 5 days due to their poor planning/communication), when they told me they'd have it at most for 5 days.I'll update once I know more b/c they still have my damn car.Services: Painting, General repairs & maintenance

The collision center did an excellent job repairing my car. They used the same grade of paint as the Auto manufacturer. The repaired area looked great and shined like new. The company is very busy, but when they scheduled the appointment they provided a target completion date. They called with an update the day before the car was due to be ready, advising they may need an extra business day to complete. Surprisingly, they called the next day and the car was ready. Their computer system is set up to notify the rental company that they have your rental car and it can be picked up from their location. This is very convenient. The office looks professional and clean. The staff is informative and friendly.

Would give zero stars if possible.I typed my entire sage and its well over the character limit.The shop lies. Repeatedly. Maybe to cover up incompetence. Maybe because they are ripping off the insurance companies that use them. But they will not tell you the truth. Parts are in, but then they aren't in. Vehicle is almost done, but then it hasn't even started. I had to go in and speak with the manager multiple times to get this handled. I ran out of rental on what should have been a 2 day repair. They ordered multiple wrong parts but didn't discover until the vehicle was promised to be done. This happened twice. They damaged my window tint on a side of the vehicle not even being worked on. And they didn't repair a part of the car that was damaged (and no competent mechanic could have missed). Thankfully, the area manager for my insurance company is going to pay another shop to finish the job.I have literally never dealt with such an unscrupulous business. Will amend if my issue is resolved but have texted and emailed and have received no response. Had an accident in April. Communication was so-so but kept me informed. Finally had to call to see if my car was ready but they were just waiting on my rear view mirror cover. I pick up my car anyways and tell them I ll bring it back when the part comes in. My car wasn t very clean, there was a dust in the car that appears was around the shop. And it was very noticeable. Fine. So I have to call a couple weeks later to check on the part because I receive no communication from the shop. They tell me the part came in so I go in to get it attached. Well, turns out it s the wrong part. It does fit so they give it to me and tell me they ll order the new part and call me when it comes in. That was in MAY. I have sent numerous texts and an email (in which they say that they ll respond in 48 hours) and have received NO response. This has been going on for months and I still don t have the right part. And I m only posting this in hopes I get some answer and will amend or delete my review if the issue is resolved.Edit - I received a public response to my review telling me someone would reach out to me, and guess what, nobody has.Update - the GM called and apologized for no responses. He ordered all 3 possible parts and mailed me the right one. I appreciate the effort and consideration but it took a lot of effort and complaints to get a resolution.

Amazing service. The entire repair process was so much easier than I expected. Plus, my car was cleaner when I picked it up then when I left it!Also, I had a minor but annoying problem with my door unrelated to my accident (not on my insurance). Not only did the mechanic notice it and say he'd fix it for me, he actually followed through when I brought it back a few weeks later. Every time I get in my car and the door doesn't pop I'm grateful I went to them.

I had the best experience with Joe Hudson. They were extremely professional and kept me informed on the status on my car. When I picked my car up, they had cleaned the inside and the outside. I had a wreck few weeks ago. I was looking for a place to get my car fixed. I saw reviews online and noticed Joe Hudson has awesome reviews and many happy customers. I decided to go to them. From the start to finish they did a fantastic job. Kept me updated all the way. The car does not look like work has been done on it. I am very happy with them and will use them again.

The world is still in good hands! Went to 2 collision centers both asked me to replace the whole side view mirror assembly. Wade tells me everything is fine and it just needs a cover on top. He also taught me how to remove and replace the assembly if I wanted to do it by myself. On top of it he fixed my front bumper as well.Just see Wade when you come here!

Great staff and my repairs were done quickly. When they noticed the rental company was taking too long to come pick me up, a nice gentleman drove me. Then, I got updates throughout the entire process and when I had questions after, they stepped up and answered them all and made adjustments as necessary. Such great people!

Even though we got off to a rocky start because it took a month to schedule an appointment to get my car repaired, the overall experience was awesome. They fixed my car in TWO days, and Darren and Josh went above and beyond. Not only did my car look great, the repair and a wash, but they put air in one of my tires and got rid of that pesky check engine light. Great customer service all around.

My lowly Toyota was treated like a king amongst Porsche, Mercedes, and BMWvehicles being repaired in this facility. Great coordination with my insurance company and timely updates with the progress of repair resulted in an easy and painless process. The company is composed of highly skilled enthusiasts, who were as passionate as myself in wanting a proper repair-- end result was as new condition, as if nothing happened. A good example of an excellent facility with excellent people providing excellent results.Update on my current experience: It seems that this shop has changed dramatically since a few years ago. I have always brought my vehicles to this shop for repair and refinish, even when it was still known as Watkins Collision Center. However, it seems that management has changed and their customer service has drastically declined. My conversation with Shane has given me the impression that they do not value customer relationships as they used to. This is deeply disturbing and very unfortunate. Maybe this is just a part of our rapidly changing world.
