Franklin Automotive was extremely helpful, and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Birmingham area. I was in a situation where my engine needed to be replaced after a recall from Hyundai, and Franklin helped refer me to the right people to have Hyundai replace it for free rather than charging me. Franklin is honest, helpful, and skilled! 5 stars!

The folks at Franklin treat you like family. They go out of their way to make sure you and you car are taken care of. After an oil change I showed them windshield wipers to verify I bought the right ones for my car. One of the guys came out and put them on for me! What a blessing!

I brought my 2020 Porsche 911 (992) to Nick to add a little spice to the already fabulous platform. We ended up teaming up with flat 6 Motorsport s and decided on Fabspeed Link Pipes, a BMC air filter and a stage 2 tune from M-Engineering.Nick kept me informed through the entire install and was fair and open about pricing. I think considering Franklin s overall experience and knowledge $150/hr labor is extremely competitive. If a job takes less time than they quote you they only charge you for their time spent and that s how it should be!Now my little base 911 is embarrassing C8 Corvettes and other 992 S s, I haven t had a chance to put it up against a Porsche 992 GTS yet, but I think it would be a very fair race, I m now easily putting out 500HP with a couple bolt-ons and a tune. I absolutely love it and will be going back to Nick when it s time for CSF intercooler, IPD plenum and some new OEM Porsche turbos from the GTS.

I had a great experience with Franklin automotive. From my first phone conversation and scheduling the work, to the early morning drop off and then picking up the vehicle the process was great.They know what they are doing and are a valuable resource for me and our Audi. I will definitely be using them for maint or repairs in the future.

The employees are engaged, knowledgeable and professional. Top level facilities and comfortable waiting room. Provided a solution for picking up the vehicle after hours. Best comment I can make is I trust Franklin Automotive.

Always friendly, prompt, and upfront with the work we need done in our cars. They are thorough with their diagnostics but won t try to sell you every little service like the dealership will. They charged HALF of what the dealer wanted for a 60k mile service and did the same service as the dealer. I highly recommend using Franklins for your vehicle service!

The folks at Franklin are always very nice and helpful! And they do a great job when servicing my vehicle. Also, let me mention, the drivers that can take you to, and from places is a valued service. Franklin Automotive are my heroes! I am retired and totally alone, but not on my car anymore. Nick told me they will handle everything now. So many companies look to take advantage of single women. Brad and the general manager were a great help in getting my two vehicles taken care of. The Honda on one day and then the Toyota the next. They followed up with me professionally and were able to fix both vehicles within one day. If you are looking for a good mechanic, come to this shop they fixed my 2018 Lexus IS 300 2.0 turbo when the lexus dealership another shop and a transmission shop couldn't, thank yall so much I will recommend yall to anyone as long as they have the manufacturer car that yall work on.

I had the best experience here. I had a trip to go out of town and told the staff I needed my car back by a certain time and they made sure I had it by that time! Franklin Automotive was recommended to me by another trusted auto service company when they discovered needed engine repairs on my 2010 Prius. I love this place, the service here is outstanding. I towed my 2017 Audi here from Birmingham Audi because the wait time there was more than 6 weeks and I'm so happy that I did. The battery was bad, once a new one was installed, it wasn't charging, after checking the alternator, it was bad and needed replacing, they told me this is why the battery died, the work that was performed was handled very professionally and quicker than I thought. I was so pleased that I asked Nic, my tech if they would handle all of my services going forward. They have my business for life, Thank you Franklin Automotive, so happy that I found you, I will give them 5 stars or the highest rating that is available!!!!

I went to Franklin Automotive with engine problems in my mk7 gti that two other mechanics that I really liked could not figure out. Within a day they had figured it out and were working on it. This place killed our car. We put it in the shop for a timing belt and water pump. It ran hot , so we also paid for a new radiator. The day we got it back after spending +$2k. The radiator cap blew and cracked the head gasket. Rip Subaru Outback with 123k miles.

About seven years ago, I was looking for a maintenance Auto Shop in Vestavia Hills area that would take care of my car regularly after its warranty expired.My doctor told me that all of their family's cars have been taken care of by Franklin Automotive located on Acton Road for more than ten years. She recommended to me sincerely.Since then, and still today, all of my family members's cars have been taken care of here, which allows me to drive on the highway without any worries.During these long years, my family and my friends family have been very satisfied with the service of Franklin Automotive. But We've never written a review online. So, my experience with Franklin Automotive is that they have excellent customer service and do a good job for the most part, but when you get your breaks fixed there they become looser and require more pressure. My cars breaks were super responsive, but then when I go to Franklin, they told me that there was something wrong with them. I didn't see what the problem was the first time, and now, it feels like there is something wrong with them when there shouldn't be. I'll just take their word for it because they have years of experience, but this is the 2nd car of mine that this has happened to.Service: Auto maintenance
