In haven t had personal experience with any of these locations. I know they are moving as it told me on the phone recording when I called after hours. I do know that it is sometimes hard to know what type of part (size, type, etc) your car will need and from what my few friends + coworkers have said; is that if you tell them to put on one part and it ends up being wrong part or what not, it kinda is what it is.! I could be wrong! We just needed an oil change and saw they do them and I was calling for a price check. Haven t called back tho! Someone correct me if wrong!

Rude. Talked all over me as I was trying to explain what I needed to replace. I did follow up calls on my vehicle; "surprisingly" the person on the phone didn't know what was being replaced .I was quoted one price and winded up having to pay nearly $100 more because I "added on" a service.I attempted to mention EVERYTHING I needed before so I could have the correct pricing.Secondly, I kept calling to see if my vehicle was finished. No answer! If I hadn't came and walked in I would have never knew. Luckily, what I asked for is fixedService: Brakes

Save yourself the time & money. Very friendly on the phone, scriptures on the wall but that means absolutely nothing. Took my car in for a catalytic converter & sensor replacement. The car was not making any noises just had the check engine light on. Called back to say exhaust manifold was cracked. I agreed to replace.Picked up car making a very loud rattling/shaking sound. Called back the next day took it back up there. Woman called back to say technician doesn t see anything wrong. I explained the car was not making any noises before I dropped it off for the replacement. She said she would test drive herself. Called back to say car needs timing belt. I said that might be true but what about the new rattling sound. On arrival to pick up the car tech said the rattling had stopped. Two or three days later engine light comes back on. I call back up there I take the car back up there. Tech says sometimes system reboots and resets and gives the same codes as before. Light went off for a few days and has been on ever since. So I recommend taking your car somewhere else.

They done a great job on tuning up my car and changing my oil and front brakes. The reception were curious and nice and very friendly. She communicated to me what was going on and how long it would take. I'm very pleased and will be back , the reception also let me know what parts I will need to get fixed next.

Took my Yukon in for struts and shocks. Everything was working proper, no dash lights, no rattles, a near perfect car. They called to tell me it s ready but when I arrived the Stabilitrac and ABS warning lights were on. They told me the warnings were on when I dropped the car off. I had to convince them there were no warning lights on and that something had to have been disconnected during the strut install. They told me to come back a few hours later. I called 2 hours after leaving it and they still had not figured out the issue. I did a quick google search while on the phone with them and figured out the speed sensor had to have been disconnected (which doesn t need to be done to replace the struts). Sure enough, that was the problem. We picked up the Yukon and all seemed well until 3 days later. There was a bad rattle in the rear of the car that was not there before. I checked the rear shocks and discovered that both sets of upper bolts were only finger tightened. There is no way they were ever torqued properly, so I had to break out the tools and fix what should have been done right the first time. They were extremely nice and wanted to make it right at all times shen I talked with management but it seems that their shop skills are lacking. Something as simple as struts and shocks shouldn t be this hard to get right.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I had to take my son's vehicle in to get the headlights changed. I thought I purchased the correct headlights bulbs. But unfortunately I did not. It turns out that his vehicle needed a higher quality build for the headlights. It turns out the quoted price was going to a little higher and I had to go and get the correct bulbs. Even though the price was higher BYOP was still more reasonable price. Will be returning to have other things fixed when needed.

Stolen wallet from my vehicle no response from owner wallet had sentimental value they could keep $500.00 a gift given to me from my wife of 27 years. I know I made a mistake by leaving in my truck but the wallet can't be replaced but I can replace other cards and drivers license my wife is very upset over this rated this place with and Big F rating. Taking my truck back to dealership where technicians are trusted i wanted to help our smaller businessesService: Steering & suspension repair

Everyone in my family takes all of their cars to Mr. Shepherd. The front of the shop is very warm and welcoming as is its owner. In addition to being professional and very courteous, he provides quality, thorough, and timely service. He treats your vehicle as if it were his own.Services: Electrical, Auto engine diagnosticServices: Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

READ BEFORE GOING TO B.Y.O.P BIRMINGHAMWhen I picked up my Jeep Wrangler I paid $1200 and they said they test drove it and it was all good. As soon as I drove it away it had about 5 inches of travel in the steering wheel so I couldn't control it.Both of my dust covers were not bolted on and were rattling and spinning, if they actual test drove it they would have noticed. Also the "alignment" they did was terrible, both front wheels were facing opposite directions and causing my trac sensors to read that I had no traction. (mind they did say couldn't get it "perfect" but for it to not even be able to drive it off the lot, that is unacceptable)I brought it back instantly and they said they could hear the rattling when I pulled up, again if they ACTUALLY TEST DROVE it they would have noticed. They took it back and put 1 dust cover on and didn't check the other because after I left the same sound came from the other side. The second alignment that they did was just one of there guys under the jeep doing an alignment, no machine, I did not see any kind of alignment system on my Jeep the whole time. When they finished the manager came over and said "like I said before, our alignment system couldn't get it right." WHAT ALIGNMENT SYSTEM??? YOUR MACHANICS EYES?After all of that the only thing they worked with me on price was that they didn't charge me for the alignment. But $1200 worth of work and I am still having to take it somewhere else to get it aligned and to double check all there terrible work.I will never be going back and I will tell everyone to never go to B.Y.O.P Birmingham.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Brakes

They are kind and informative. They don't try to screw their customers over. If they can't do something, they're honest about it. They do great work and I'll be bringing all of my business to them from now on.

I took my Jeep in this morning to get checked out because it had started shaking really bad....they let me know right way they would need to do a road test to see what was wrong, they quoted a price, I said sure, I need my Jeep fixed. Within a few hours they told me what was wrong, the parts needed, how long it would take and the price. They ordered the parts and had them brought over from a local parts store. It was much less than I thought it would be, told them to go ahead and it was ready in about 2 hours. I'm a happy customer. It's not the first time they've come through for me. They worked on my pickup truck too before. Thanks Mr. Willie and BYOP mechanics.

I asked paid what parts of the car do you look at if you put my car on the machine?... So I let them put my car on the machine... In my head, they would know what is working and not working, or what needs to be repaired ASAP before it isn't working.... Well, why was they asking me what is wrong with my car AFTER they put it on the machine... Then told me I can wait another 45 minutes to an hour so they can put it BACK on there again... I told them no paid my money and left!... I still don't understand how they didn't or couldn't see the problem I had and it was one of the things covered that they look at! They are shady and take your money... Don't go there...

First I want to say I'm a huge supporter of black owned businesses, every opportunity I have to support my people I do. I went to get my breaks replaced. After getting them done I keep hearing a knocking sound. I took it back to the shop and the said they fixed it. After leaving that day I immediately began to hear the knocking sound again. This time I looked for the issue myself and notice the installers failed to put the pin that holds the caliper brackets to the rotors which was causing the entire caliber and braket to slide back and fourth. I took it back again and it seemed to be a pin in place. About a week later I started to hear a grinding noise so at this point I didnt trust the management or installers so I took it to another shop to have a brake inspection. They found were another pin was also missing and this was causing my breaks to slide. I was told before hand to not do business at byop by multiple people but I decide to go anyway. My recommendation to anyone else considering taking your car to this shop is it's not worth it. The price is possibly going to be cheaper but the installers are untrustworthy. If you interact with the owner and his wife they come across as God fearing wholesome grandparents that care about you but they really just want your money. I could have been seriously injured because of the this and after telling them about it they stood by the work of their installers. This is a side note, not all but a few of the installers definitely currently do drugs or did drugs which should tell you even more about how reputable this business is. SPEND A LITTLE MORE MONEY AND FEEL COMFORTABLE KNOWING THE WORK WAS DONE CORRECTLY!!!! I will never do business with them again unfortunately.

Just had my car worked on I also got a print out of the things I need to do. Just brake pads for front and back. Now it squeaks while driving. I was told they try to get you to come back by damaging parts. Are trying to trust and believe that wasn't true but now my car is squeaking

I didn't have a long wait. They were very friendly.I had bought the wrong part. When they checked the car they told me what I needed and ordered the part and had it delivered so that I didn't have to leave and come back with the part to be put on.

My husband's car keeps breaking! >:(My husband had been dealing for over a year. I was initially wary of them but supported his decision. The owner seemed like a good Christian man, so it put him at ease. Not even a month later and over the course of this year, he has had to go back to him about 4 times after his car kept stopping! Each visit costing around $200.We will not recommend them and will not be going back to get any more repairs done by them.BYOP? No thanks!

Had my truck stolen from this place. No glass on the ground. They couldn't even tell me when it was stolen. Cameras on the building don't work. They didn't have the keys. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. Hope y'all enjoy my truck.

This place saved me. My husband and I have been sharing cars because we could not find anyone reasonable to fix the car. Everybody was charging $75 an hour or more. This place gave us a flat fee and we received the car back within the same day. Thank you guys and when needed I will return

This establishment has proved beyond a doubt that racism is alive and well in the black community by the way was lied to and treated. White people save yourself the harassment and danger by taking your vehicle to a reputable mechanic who stands behind their work and treats people equally!

The so called "mechanics" couldn't even install a left rear axle on a truck. Complete bull rap I waited two and half hours for that. But the woman working the counter is awesome and sexy

Do not I repeat do not come to this thief. On jan 8th 2015 They supposedly replaced my alternator .Fast forward 5/12/2017 my truck stalls on the side of the highway. I take it to the shop when I take the alternator back to Oreily come to find out. byop never put a new alternator on but my old nissand alternator was still on. This man claims to be a Christian, but he is a demon. I will be suing this thief if my money isn't returned. He had the nerves to call the police, because hes a coward. You reap what you sow.
