Went by A1 after hitting a pothole and wasn't sure if I had possibly damaged something. Erik and Barry got me in and out gave my car the okay to go and didn t even charge for checking my alignment since no work was needed. Honest and good work is hard to find these days. I will always return to have work done. I have used them in the past for tire services. A good group of people and everyone always do what they can to help you and the work is indeed always A1. Also thanks to Brad, the technician.

I have had a great experience at A+ with both of my cars. Tires on one, and tires and brakes on the other. Both cars smooth as silk going down the road after the work. I'll definitely keep using them.

This has been the best customer service at a car repair shop I have ever experienced! Erika the owner makes sure to always find a way to get you take of quickly and he is the most affordable I found. All his staff knows what they are doing and you feel like family after taking your vehicle in for service!

The best in the Birmingham area hands down! I have used them for several years now. They are fast, friendly, professional, and reliable! Erik and his crew know exactly what they are doing and will give you great service and results! Prices are extremely reasonable as well! Highly highly recommend them!! I appreciate the fact that Erik did what he said he would do, fixed what needed fixing, and didn't try to sell me stuff that wasn't needed. His honesty was refreshing.Update 3-20-23: once again Erik and his team took care of me. Very pleased. They treated me rightUpdate 6-16-23: since they had done a good job with my Chevy Silverado, I took my 1994 Toyota Camry to them. They got me fixed up promptly with no fuss. Erik and his staff have been nothing short of absolutely phenomenal with anything I have brought my vehicles in for over the last few years. Quick turnaround times, honest work, and beyond reasonable pricing are the characteristics I have come to appreciate greatly over the years. I have no problem making the drive from Jasper to Trussville when my vehicles need work because I know they will be fixed right the first time, every time.Service: Steering & suspension repair

A+/Erik has been taking care of my cars for 15+ years now, and I wouldn't trust anyone else to work on them. They are the most honest auto repair shop that I've ever dealt with. Repairs are done quickly and efficiently, and they're not going to try and sell you on something more than what you've asked for or actually need. If I could give them 100 stars I would!!! To say they SAVED our family vacation would be an understatement! We were out of town, stranded on the side of the road with 4 kids, 3 dogs, and a camper, and desperate! A+ was actually recommended to us by a whole different auto shop one explanation of our situation and they knew A+ would be the ones to help us! One call to A+ and they helped to get our truck towed to the shop and rolled right into the bay ASAP!Even offered to help get the camper towed if we couldn t get the truck back on the road same day.They Kept in contact with us via text till the very end of our experience and I don t think they ll ever truly know how much they helped to put myself and my husband at ease! We were able to get back on the road and enjoy every moment of our vaca!And cost..... well let s just say he probably could ve charged me way more and I wouldn t have known otherwise.Honest, hard working, amazing people at A+!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

My mechanic of 20+ years retired. Left me without a mechanic that I trusted. Tried a few places around Bham, not happy.Then I got a referral to give A+ a try.Needed some major work done on a 20 year old Toyota that is in great shape and is worth spending the money on to keep it running.I had three estimates for this job and Erik came in at the best price, using all OEM parts, and shortest time to get the work done. Got the car back in a day. Runs great! All problems fixed and no issues since.Now I'm taking both our cars to Erik and his team. I've finally found the place where I know I don't have to "worry" when our cars need work.Things I want in an auto repair shop:Excellent work and honesty.Fair price.Retention of mechanics.Other satisfied customer references and reviews.Erik and the guys at A+ offer all the things I look for and expect in an auto repair shop. I feel fortunate to have found A+.On top of being friendly and nice, listening to what I have to say, answering my numerous questions, giving their best suggestions, and going BEYOND the point of "just getting the job done", the team at A+ cares. I can not say how thankful I am to have a "hometown mechanic" that I can trust!!!!.We have used Erik's company for years for all of our vehicles, and trust him without question. But we are entering a new phase of life, and our son is now in college at Auburn. He called home to say his truck wouldn't start. We called AAA and had them tow it to the closest local shop, where they told us it was the fuel pump and would cost $825.00 to fix. My husband said "I am going to call Erik and ask him what he thinks" Not gonna lie. I thought that was a waste of time. I mean, how could Erik help him over the phone without even looking at the truck. Boy was I wrong. Erik told my husband that it was rare for my sons truck to have fuel pump issues that require it to be replaced and told them to check the fuse in the engine area. My husband called that shop, and went a few rounds with the technician and then the manager, and basically just asked them to check the fuse in the engine area before they did anything else. And guess what...It was the FUSE. It was a $1.50 fix (which they didn't make us pay since my husband had to go several rounds with them just to get them to check it). Sure does make us thankful for a mechanic who is knowledgeable and trustworthy.Services: Electrical repair, Auto engine diagnostic

Erik and the guys at A+ are the best. They are not only some of the most honest and ethical car guys, but people in general. Erik always takes the time to explain any automotive issues to me and all the options to correct them. I don t trust anyone else with my car.

They will get you back on the road in no time.2022: NO INTEGRITY& Brought my Toyota 4Runner, I had a good chat with someone the day before about dropping it off, went into late work to be able to get it there, he had maybe 5kins to clock in. I asked a guy who was clearly in uniform to help and he wouldn t bc he wasn t clocked in yet and a guy who apparently owns this establishment pulls up cursing he just fussed at me to get my s*** out of the way. Me already frustrated and being treated unfairly wasn t enough I get it back from them and not one of my lug nuts were tightened at all. I had to do it on the side of interstate.Service: Steering & suspension replacement

Best service and price hands down. Never had an issue with this company or its employees. Only complaint I have is too many folks know about this gem of a place so you may need to male an appointment (not really a complaint more of a congratulations on being so great that everyone recognizes) best service you will ever get from a stand up company. Great group of people working there ive never left with less then 100% A+ service. Keep up the great work. This is the only place thatll ever work on my vehicles because i know the issue is fixed when i leave

They have always done right by us. Quick but thorough, & a fair price. A couple of times, the problem was simpler than first expected. When a business calls & tells you the cost is going to be a fourth of original estimate after getting into the problem, you know you've found a honest business. If you don't have a mechanic you trust, give these folks a try.

Our family has taken our vehicles to Eric for almost 10 years now. Always upfront and honest. If you are looking to get new tires or have an issue/maintenance need with your vehicle, this is the place to go.

I highly recommend taking your vehicle to A+. They offer all kinds of services, along with after after hours drop off. I don t trust my vehicles with anyone else. I recommend them to everyone I can. The staff is top notch and they won t sell you something that you don t need. It s nice to go somewhere and be treated like a customer or friend, instead of someone who is just swiping their debit card.

Truck started running hot so I broke down on the interstate literally .6 miles from them. Called to see if someone would please bring me a jug of water, Then I ll follow u back to the shop where y all can look at it for me. He s on his lunch breaks he can send someone to help me in a few hours.. as far as the truck.. be a week or more before he could look at replacing a single freaking top hose! Regardless the money offered him and his staff can t even drive .6 miles to bring me water..

Erik was fantastic to work with. I bought tires on a close out special online and had them shipped directly to A+. Erik fit me in even while being short handed. Customer service is impeccable.

Fair price for the work performedAt the A+ Tire & Auto Repair your expectations will greatly exceed all three.Put them on your speed dial. Well worth it.
