Athens, Al location. Great service and employees genuinely care to give customers best service. Mike is great. I have been taking my vehicles to this store for years. On 02/21 I had an unexpected encounter with GM of the location Joe Craft. My Challenger was having issues with the battery and I stopped by to ask questions about some issues with the car not shifting gears properly and to see if it was related to the battery. Challenger was dead and sitting in my garage and unable to drive. I was in my other car about to leave TD and Joe came to me and offered to swing by my house the next day which was his off day to assist me in replacing the battery I purchased. I have never had an employee offer to come and assist me with ANYTHING on their off day hourly or salary it doesn t matter. They have my business going forward unless I have a truly HORRIBLE experience with them. Highly recommended with 5 stars! Great job Joe and keep up the great service!

I had a wonderful experience. Mike went above and beyond what he had to do to ensure I was cared for. I bought four new tires for my Sienna, alignment & balance, and oil change. I asked them to check and let me know what needed to be done. Mike walked me through what needs to be done in the future and some immediate needs.Not being from Athens, figuring out where to go when you need automotive work is hard. Mike helped them earn my business in the future.

Went to fill up my truck at a nearby gas station and realized I had a ran over a sharp lag screw and was losing air rapidly. I then immediately drove to this particular shop to get an emergency patch job on said tire. The shop employees were very helpful and able to get my truck serviced and back on the road within 40 minutes. This shop has earned my business.

RUDE!!!!They told my Daughter in Love, she needed 4 tires! We took her vehicle elsewhere! She did not need 4 new tires!! I would not recommend Tire Discounters!! The mechanics are nice people and qualified, in my opinion. It's the old RUDE so called manager up front!! Complete Jerk!!!

It was spring break heading back to Illinois after a great week with the family at the beach. We got a flat tire at Buc-ee's at 3:30 in the morning, we ended up fighting to getting our spare tire on. We got it on only after I was able to borrow a hacksaw and cut off a lug nut and safety cable. We pulled into Tire Discounters just after 8AM on Saturday they where already busy. We met Mike at the counter and from the start he was nothing less then amazing, he worked to get us in and take care of the issue, joked with me and just had a great attitude. He took the time to take a picture of the puncture on the tire and get me back on the road as fast as possible. We where back on the road by 9am thanks to Mike and the guys in the shop! I'm serious this was one of the best customer service experiences I have had in years.

The short and quick review is that I had a fantastic experience today at the Athens, AL location of Tire Discounters. The longer version is that I had a flat tire at 6:30 am on a trip from Birmingham to Nashville in the vicinity of Athens. A local service center that I was able to contact at that time recommended that I go to Tire Discounters which I did via a tow. (I had bad run flats that I could not drive on and no spare.)When I arrived, I was told by a nice person that they were completely full, but would try to work me in. I later learned they were a person short this day. It turned out that I actually needed two tires and unfortunately, they did not have them in stock. I ended up purchasing four tires, but that is immaterial to this review. I was told that it would be a couple of hours before they could get the tires delivered from a warehouse to their store.That meant that I was in store for a long wait at their store. It might have been worse because they could ve told me they could not work me in at all. I waited and watched how the employees of this store interacted with customers. I learned why they did not turn me away. It is because they have a positive, can do attitude. During my time, I interacted in one way or another with four different employees. Each was highly professional and polite. The store/shop is very clean and the waiting area was nice. They even had Wi-Fi and I was able to do work while I waited.Later, I learned the first person I spoke with, Mike Drexler, is the manager. He couldn t have been more professional and friendly. However, that description fits everyone who works there.I ended up getting out of there sooner than my worst fears, my experience in the store was very pleasant and I give this store location, my highest recommendation.

Great service and reasonable prices.They saved me after leaving Mercedes-Benz for a tire alignment & balance. Had a blow out after i left Blessed I made it to TireDiscounters. Thanks guys. I ll be back and definitely refer to friends, family, whomever....

** editing my original five star review down to one star. I just got around to washing my car a couple of days after the new tires and found that every single rim has scratches completely around them and nicks that I know for a fact were not there before . I only hand wash my car so I know what my rims looked like before. Two of my tires had nails in them so I went ahead and replaced all four..I was told to bring it in but the guy I talked to said multiple times nothing could have scratched them "we don't use anything abrasive" .. If it was one I would not be upset. But it's all four!Needless to say I am NOT happy!**Thanks for getting me in last minute and giving my car 4 new tires. Was an unexpected expense for me!

This shop saved the day. I was driving my family from Nashville to Florida for a beach trip and 2 hours in, the truck started shaking to the point it was hard to keep it on the road. I pulled over at the next exit and realized the dealership that serviced my truck the day before didn t tighten the lug nuts at all and the tire was about to fall off. Thankfully Tire Discounters was right off the exit. The team squared up the tire and tightened everything and checked the other tires and had us back on the road in 10 minutes. Huge shout out to this team.

Had a tire out of balance traveling from TN to TX, Christian and Rodney went above and beyond in taking care of the issue. They rebalanced, aired up and rotated all tires and even checked the spare for our road trip. Got us back on the road in a timely manner. Wish they were closer to home so I could give them all my business.

This Tire Discounters is my go-to for tires and oil changes for both our vehicles. They consistently offer great service at a fair price My only criticism would be they need a better online method for making appointments. I find it easiest to just call.

I recently purchased 2 new tires (again.. 2 in April and then 2 more in September) was really impressed in April and was very satisfied that I decided to go ahead and get the other 2 replaced. Best service and awesome staff, very friendly and knowledgeable! Will definitely go back and highly recommend them!

100% recommended! We were traveling from Louisiana to Tennessee and got a nail in our tire with 3 small children. Mike was so kind and told us bring it to me and we were in and out within the hour and Tire Discounters lived up to the name with a great deal! Thank y all so much for taking care of us!

Update:First, I'm an idiot who can't read an invoice... Second, the service is what I've find to expect from a Tire Discounters location and the guys are great. I had a slow leak and they repaired my tire with no cost to myself since I purchased my set with them AND it was fixed EXTREMELY fast WITHOUT an appointment. Highly recommend!Old review:I've been a customer at the Madison location for several years now (which has been a great experience), so I thought I'd try the one in Athens since it's a little closer to home.Seriously disappointing. Took an hour and a half for an oil change and rotation and I got charged for the rotation when that was supposed to be included for purchasing the tires at Tires Discounters AND because the promotion on the oil change was supposed to include a free rotation. (I didn't notice the additional charges until I reviewed the receipt at home.)Unfortunately, I think the extra distance and time to frequent the Madison location is going to be worth the inconvenience in the future.

They were great the first time i did business with them but their policies will now have lost my business for life.Paid about $170 the first time i did business with them to mount my tires and balance them for me.Well after i put 7k miles on my tires they mounted and balanced for me i came back to get a balance and was told that i would have to give them yet another $70-$90 to balance them again since "I didn't purchase the tires from them" ..... yeah, i brought my own tires and rims and paid yall $170 to put them on for me thinking id be able to come back for a balance later on (was never told I would have to pay for a balance again)Whether or not i purchased tires from your business, if i give you almost $200 i expect to be able to come back and get a balance done..Seems likes this place cares more about money than treating clientele so that being said you have lost my business now and anyone that I could have recommended to your business.

Tire Discounts are AWESOME!! Bought 4 new tires with 80,000 warranty a couple months ago. Awesome tires reasonable price. They got me in quickly and I was a walk in! Service is AWESOME! Very professional, knowledgeable and fast!Well I started hearing a noise, I thought I had a flat tire, but wasn t flat, I took it in they fit me right in, found the problem it was the protective under carriage protector. It had lost a couple clips and was flapping. They put a couple pins back in and didn t charge me anything!! Thanks guys!! You all ROCK! You have my business now and future! I will see you my next oil change!

This was my first time using this company's services but I was very pleased with it!The associate who helped me, Huey, was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful with the questions I had for him. The customer service here is outstanding! The guys were so helpful and explained everything. They took me home when we realized my tires needed to be replaced and picked me back up when my car was finished. I would give 10 stars if I could!

I came to Tire Discounters needing new tires on my Toyota Camry and an oil change. Joseph Craft worked with me since it was my first time at Tire Discounters. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I felt like a valued customer and my car was well taken care of. These guys did a great job replacing a wheel hub for me. A couple of months later, there started a chirping and grinding noise out of nowhere in the same wheel. Took it back to the shop, and they found that a wheel weight had fallen in between the rotor and the breaks. They took care of it free of charge. Friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

IAN AT THE ATHENS, AL LOCATION PROVIDED EXCELLENT SERVICE & WENT ABOVE & BEYOND. 4 WOMEN WITH A FLAT TIRE & THEN A FLAT SPARE = VERY FRUSTRATING TRIP HOME FROM VACATION. IAN TOOK CARE OF PATCHING THE TIRE AND HELPING US GET BACK ON OUR TRIP HOME. SO THANKFUL FOR KIND PEOPLE LIKE HIM & HIS CREW!

I went in for a tire repair and oil change. They told me they couldn t change my oil because their mechanic wasn t there that day and can t repair my tire that just went flat because I put a plug in it to get it to the shop. It s a new lifted f250 and they didn t want to do it is all it comes down to. Made multiple excuses as to why they can t service it because it s big and the wheels and tires a big and heavy. Laziness.

Had a tire plug done here, and have had no issues with it. They did a great job. Mike and all of the team here did a great job, even short-handed, being the perfect mix of professional, straightforward, and efficient. I will be back for some more in-depth work on another vehicle and see how that goes. Plus, Mike is fun to talk to even when you can tell the best of days is not taking place! Down to earth environment! Real people. Real problems. Good work.

Got a balance and rotation on my truck tires. I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Much better than the last service I had.

Ordered tires on Monday, and was told they would be in on Thursday and I would get a call. Never received a call, I had to call Friday to ask about tires that I ordered and put a $200 deposit on. Mario informed me that I could set up an appointment for 1100 or I could come earlier, I opted to come in at 0930. Three people came in after me for tires and were out the door before me. My truck wasn't put on the rack until 1150 and I wasn't out until about 1420. Sitting for about 5 hours is really poor service. Also being able to watch the staff in the bays move with zero purpose and horsing around is telling. Mike attempted to put a $50 3 year alignment charge on my invoice without me accepting. I won't be back, prices were average and service was abysmal. Photo attached is the best alignment they could muster with my truck being on the rack for over 2 hours.
