I read the reviews about David and his Athens muffler shop and was suspicious as to if it could be as awesome as everybody said.But today I took an old farm tractor exhaust system in that shop and asked David if there was anything he could do to help me. I am astounded at the friendliness, expertise and professionalism. He took care of me on the spot at a very reasonable price. I will find reasons to be back and I will send everybody I can to this place.Steve Martin

No muffler shop locally around Florence had the exhaust size in I needed so I set out to Athens. This place was one of the most welcoming businesses I've walked into in a while. I'll be back!And as I was leaving. A Hispanic guy walked in. There was a language barrier. I heard the owner mention going to another business to get a Hispanic speaking individual to help his potential customer out.

Daly & Son Car Care in Ardmore, TN recommended Athens Muffler to us, and Clay and David helped repair a cracked pipe near the catalytic converter, alleviating our noisy issue. We were hoping it was a simple fix on this 2010 Ford Taurus with high miles. We were astonished at the quick service and inexpensive charge of $50. They will do you right. We will return if need be.

Took my daughter's bmw here. It was the biggest problem car and another shop had it and then said things were beyond them. Called athens muffler and brought it in along with the parts. They did the custom fab work and went above and beyond by fixing a coolant leak, changing all four catalytic converts and fixing broken motor mount bolts. The manifolds ended up having to be custom fixed and they did a wonderful job. The fact that they could have sent it on its way and said no but didn't and made sure the car left in a 100 percent better shape and running was awesome. As long as I live in north Alabama area this will be the only muffler shop that gets our business.

Nice group of guys. Extremely knowledgeable staff that take their time to explain your options and don't try and upsell you on parts you don't need. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I am extremely satisfied with the work they did for me and got me in and out quicker than 3 other shop's I called. Athens Muffler Center!!Thanks Again!

Got quoted a crazy high price for a simple request. Wanted a muffler cut off and some tips put on and the price was so outrageous that it was actually more than I paid for my full dual exhaust from headers back. If you ever need anything done for a normal price, don t go here!!

Very professional, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly staff. They are a first come - first served business. I arrived before opening to be first to have crossover pipes, muffler and tailpipe back from muffler replaced and they completed the work in 40 minutes. Highly recommended.

Had exhaust manifold bolts break off in the heads. They gave great service and gave a really great price. Highly recommend for mechanic and exhaust work.

These people are amazing!!! We were traveling and they fit us in right away and took care of us very quickly. They did not take advantage of the fact we were traveling as some places do. Guy quoted me an extremely high price just to ad 2 pipes and exhaust tips and when I agreed to his price he gave me an excuse like he was about to close just so he didn't have to do it. Total waste. They over charge you on the mufflers and you can get the same set up online for under half their prices. Won't ever visit this place again.
