3.6 stars is a shame for this place... Winston and Justin really helped in getting me back out. Super careful and tedious on making sure no metal was left in my diff. Friendly staff had no problem in letting me stay in my truck for 2 days. They were careful about the tow no to damage anything

TOP NOTCH roadside assistance provider. These folks arrive fast and they get straight to work. I blew a super-single semi drive tire and they had one in stock when they're becoming less and less common, and when a number of other local towing companies did not. The job required them to cut cords away that had wrapped around the axle, and of course they were ready for that and they handled the entire job quickly and efficiently. You can't go wrong calling these guys when you need them.

Contacted them on a Saturday morning in need of a tire to get my dump truck back in service. CD Hubbard made it happen in a timely manner with friendly roadside guy(Austin). We will use them again.

I ve just had Mr. Weston Harrison come and pull me out of a nasty and complicated situation regarding my tractor trailer, and he did the impossible that two men before him couldn t do. I salute him , and his employers for hiring such a talented young man definitely a trouble shooter on real time, much appreciated !

Had a emergency lost clutch in T680 . Called and they sent technician Austin filled my reservoir brake fluid and pressureize the system. They only accept visa with driver id. No American express or Zelle. Pleasant & courteous.

Coming up I-77 on Saturday I had a brake caliper stick and it overheated the rotor, I was eventually able to get it to a truck stop in Dublin, I contacted CD Hubbard on recommendation from another company. Corey arrived within the time window that was given to me, he tore into the wheel assembly analyzed everything and the decision was made to replace bearings, seal and rotor. Parts had to be ordered and shipped overnight, the next day, Weston and Clay? returned to finish the job, the guys were awesome and did not dilly dally around and got me back on within a couple of hours. I will not hesitate to use them again.

We broke down on I-81 north outside of Wytheville, Va. In our class A....our roadside service with our insurance company instructed us to find our own repair shop and towing service. My husband was told about this company by an area auto parts store!They hauled the RV to their shop 30 miles away and by the next afternoon we were on the road north again..Thanks so much for the speedy service / your number is in our phones when traveling south again..Service: Special vehicle towing

Great roadside service provider. They communicated with my by phone to determine exactly what was needed. Came out and made repairs on my 18- Wheeler in under a half hour. If you need roadside assistance in the Dublin/Salem Virginia area, they're the ones to call!

I was stranded very late in the afternoon I have called the number Mr Austin responded as I explained to him the problem on my van he showed up and saw what the problem was it fixed next day he was very friendly he did what he meant to do and i went on my way and I would encourage to call Mr Austin they mean business you will be satisfied with what they do.

First I had broke down and needed some roadside assistance. They told me that they couldn t make it out that night but came anyways and got my tractor back to running within a little over an hour. These guys was very helpful and informational. They pricing was ok but well worth it. My motto . You get what you pay for. Hopefully I wont but if I m in the area close by and needed some roadside assistance I would call these guys without hesitation. If you in the area close by in needs . I highly recommend you calling these guys. I appreciate it.

Had to get towed in with a blown radiator. This was around 3:30 p.m. had radiator shipped to them and had old radiator out and brand new one in early next morning. These guys are awesome! Thanks CD Hubbard I appreciate it very much. Great job!

They were quick to get to me. The mechanic arrived within 30 minutes. When it was decided I needed to be towed to their shop, the wrecker arrived very quickly.It was close to closing time so they wouldn't get to my truck until the next morning. They dropped me right at the driveway of the motel.Although my company decided not to have the repairs done at this shop, Hubb and his crew treated me right from start to finish.Funny thing, the first shop I called, they gave me their mechanics number for which he didn't answer. When I called them back, they told me to call CD Hubbard.Service: Special vehicle towing

Broke down on the side of I-77 S loaded down. Owner showed up, hooked up, an when I told him my delivery was only 18 miles away, he took me to the plant to drop it off before we headed to the shop. They charged me 3700 for pulling me out of ditch. And they lied on report and said I took down wires and damaged property. And the only thing that was hit was a mail box and the owner had no problem. The guy towing also told cop to tell me he was going to leave with my truck and take it to his shop, which I believe he was going to steel parts. So I told cop he had no authority to take my truck. He said because he didnt think i was going to pay. I got my company to pay for it and the cop wrote me a ticket unnecessary he said for improper backing. Please be careful of this company they are very dangerous and also I believe they work together with bad police.Service: Long distance hauling

Replaced starter. Mechanic was great but be aware they charge two dollars a mile and the time the Mechanic drives out. That's a double charge. Not happy about paying miles plus labor to drive out. The labor needs to come off the two bux a mile to drive out. Labor should start once Mechanic arrives to do the work.

I'm only giving 1 star because I can't give zero. He had our truck for 3 months and almost $3,000 later we still have the same problem the day we left his shop.He told us he had to charge the batteries because they were dead, but our bill said he replaced both batteries. Both of those batteries were less than a year old and would've been covered under warranty had they actually needed to be replaced.Their communication skills are the worst. They tell you they will call within a day or two with an update, and two or three weeks later you're lucky if you can get them to answer their phone to find out what's going on. They have business hours posted, but you go by and the doors are locked.I understand everyone is busy and people are always in a hurry, but 3 months without a vehicle is ridiculous. Not to mention it's not even fixed.We will be taking it somewhere else.... obviously.Jan Harless

CD HUBBARD picked me and the truck up off interstate 81 north in Draper, VA. Fan belt and water pump were gone. They already had high marks on reviews. They are polite, calm, and professional. They also work expeditiously. I can t thank them enough and would recommend them for any OTR large truck service (I.e., Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Volvo, etc )Service: Special vehicle towing

Ive already contacted BBBI wish I could give a zero. EVERYONE SAYING THESE PEOPLE ARE RACIEST ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.THEY DO NOT ACCEPT MAJOR CREDIT CARDS! I have never had an experience where a road service does not accept credit/debit card payments. They DID NOT EVEN LOOK AT MY TRUCK. They just told my driver they needed to tow it back to the shop. Their shop was literally 4 miles away. They charged me $1500 just for the tow! When I tried to pay them with my debit card they said they only accepted cash, checks, or a wire. A WIRE?! AT 5:30 PM WHEN ALL BANKS ARE CLOSED. My driver was more than 6 hours away from our yard for us to get any payment to them. They held my driver in their yard ALL NIGHT (no food no restroom). I told them I would call authorities if they did not release my driver the next morning. I had to have a separate driver go to the site to deliver cash and get my OWN TOW to pull my truck away. They did not accept to have my truck towed even to the front of their yard. DO NOT... request this road service. They will scam you for their tow and won't even repair your truck.

This place is a joke. CD hubbard went out to tow one of our drivers..litterally took him two minutes. This guy was young and a new driver and CD hubbard took advantage of him. Charged him 565 bucks for a 2 minute job. Then went on to tell me brcause it was an emergancy, and it was raining the price is higher. I mean nobody else gets paid more to work in the rain. And emergancy..isnt that what tow trucks do is go out to tow vehicals thats 9 times out of 10 an emergancy? I called back to ask about negotiating and getting atleast half of that back for our driver. the owner got a smart mouth and acted like that was normal. But its not. wench out is normally between 75 and 150. You can call any tow company around and they'll tell you the same thing. Do not use this place. All call towing has 5 stars and wont take advantage of you. remember that before you call this company. Idk how theyre still in business. The owner is a joke. Do not use this company if you know whats good for you.

At about 10.00 pm on Friday 10/11/2019, my truck broke down at the Walmart Supercenter in Dublin, VA. It was a drive train issue and so needed to call for Roadside service. Did a Google search and After calling a couple of companies and getting negative responses, I called CD Hubbard Equipment and Towing. Ms. Candace answered promptly, took my information and told me help would be there in about an hour. However, only 15 minutes after my call, help arrived, examined my issue and determined my truck wasn't driveable and had to be towed. They towed it to their shop and the next day Saturday, they started working on it. However, it needed some replacement parts that weren't available that day, and Monday being the Columbus Day holiday meant they could only get them on Tuesday. Mr. Corey , the shop owner ordered the parts, and after, drove me to lodge at the Knights Inn till Tuesday. The parts arrived on Tuesday afternoon, but unfortunately the vendors sent wrong stuff. Ms. Candace took it upon herself to drive 3 hrs round trip to the vendors and back, just to get the correct parts, with the assurance that CD Hubbard would get my truck repaired and running that same day. They did, and by 10 pm, my truck was ready to roll. I requested some other work to be done on my truck, like replacing the Air Dryer, so I delayed my departure till the next day Wednesday for those other repairs.My final bill for towing and repairs was very fair, like I estimated, and my truck has been running well since. I assured Mr. Corey and crew I would be popping in now and then just to say hi, and we parted company with all smiles and handshakes.Mr. Corey, Ms Candace and all the technicians who took care of my truck were very professional, respectful, friendly and helpful. Thanks, guys. I would certainly recommend their towing company and repair shop to any trucker.PS: For purposes of disclosure, I am a black guy sharing my honest first hand experience at CD Hubbard. I am one person who calls it as I see it with no holding back. You give respect, you earn respect. God bless.

8 weeks later finally truck was fixed so I thought. Thank goodness I had the truck towed home. Went out made it 6 miles had to get towed home words can not express my feelings. Do not use this company.

UPDATE!! Since CB Hubbard has decided to reply. We are not the ONLY company giving the same Stated Review of Racism Please READ ALL REVIEWS!!! And I have all contractual agreements between myself, my warranty company, and CB Hubbard. I will be reporting your business to the BBB and CFPB!! All paperwork shows that they did markup ALL manufactured prices! The prices were EXTREMELY INFLAMED!! Further more the FOLLOWING DAY the Truck they make mention of being picked up in the middle of the night, which HAPPENS when you have a DRIVER on the road!!! Why is that a issue??!! Is Now in ANOTHER SHOP DUE TO IT STILL NOT WORKING!!! Possibly from the SAME ISSUE they SUPPOSEDLY FIXED!!! I spoke with the warranty company and they received payment when they FINALLY gave them the estimate!! They are BLATANTLY LYING about speaking with myself or anyone affiliated with this company stating it wasn t their problem with Anything!! But, that should FURTHER inform you of the TACTICS this company uses to combat a NEGATIVE REVIEW! AS I STATED AND PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ FURTHER DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS THERE!!!!!!Original Post: ONLY giving one star because I can t give ZERO!!! I had a trailer axle bearing fail as I was passing through Dublin. It s an older 24 gooseneck, dual tandem trailer with Dexter 9k axles. Parts are hard to find for the most part but these guys were able to source them in Roanoke and then the mechanic volunteered to stay LATE to get me back on the road. Pricing was fair, especially given the emergency nature of the repair. I would use them again if I ever pass through Dublin again.

I do not recommend this towing service. They do not stand by what they say. They give you a time and when they are an hour late and you call them to make sure everything is OK, they tell you they will call you back and then another hour goes by and having not received a call from them, I called them five times and got no answer and so I called Verizon back and had Verizon to call and miraculously they answered them and told them they would be just another thirty minutes, due to some technical difficulties. Now here we are another hour since that point and still no communication. I will post back when they finally get here and let you guys know just how many hours late they were. I highly recommend DJ's Towing in Max Meadows VA. He is always punctual and if there is a problem he communicates with you. I have no use for companies that don't show up and have zero communication.
