We are fulltime rv volunteers currently hosting at Cranes Mill Park. When our only vehicle crapped out, we were vulnerable. Brad and his crew identified/corrected the problem in short order. An employee, Noah called with corrective diagnosis. Better yet, he picked me up to take me to my vehicle as I had no transportation. Congrats to this team. Brad your dad taught you well.

Thank you! I can't be more appreciative of helping me quickly figure out the noise coming from my vehicle. Which the owner found that my recent tire balance and rotation at another facility was not up to par. If I would not have gone to get Hillview Garage to check my vehicle I definitely could have had a very bad accident. I went straight to the other facility and they fixed the problem and I'm so grateful Hillview Garage saved me and my car from something that could have became worse later without me knowing the actual problem with my vehicle. I had miscommunication to the owner of this shop. It turned out to be my error on how I communicated. Brad not only accepted my apology he made everything right on my car. He goes above and beyond to help his customers. Great prices and great service. Last year I had a very difficult repair that nobody else would touch. He repaired it and did it right. He's the only person I trust with my car.

I have taken my car here several times over the last couple of years. Every time I see mechanics passionate about there work. They known there trade. Reasonable prices, integrity and honesty.

What a Blessing to find an honest, super ethical, & with complete integrity car mechanic shop. Not only that, they r really good & experienced at fixing cars & forth coming with advice. They work hard to find the problem & fix it with reasonable prices. Those of u who feel entitled, & get in a fret cause u have to wait a bit, get over yurselves. Dont u want a great running car & not be gouged for it? Use some grace & patience & u wont be disappointed! Love love love this! Give a little love to the owner too.

I used to come here when Ruben owned the company, I just went in and there was no one in the office, so I went in the garage to ask for help.The new owner put down his tools and a half through his hands up and said only one word three times no no no.I followed him into the office, and he proceeded to show me as if I was mentally diminished the sign on the door that said do not come in the garage.So how do you get help when there s no one in the office and you ve waited around there for several minutes.Then in the office, he said, what do you need with a negative tone The shop is horrible for customer service and I don t recommend anybody even go by.I would give it a zero star but they don t have that option.The guy was a complete whatever

I have an 08 Toyota tundra pickup that I took to read a while back my truck runs like a brand new one even though it has a little over $300,000 mi he done excellent work I have found him to be reliable honest and trustworthy it is hard to find somebody who's word means something to them anymore I appreciate Brad and the work that he does

Brad and the staff at Hillview are great. They have done extensive work for me on my van and been very quick. They are trustworthy, reasonably priced, and willing to explain everything and go over my options. When I have been in a pinch they have done what they can to prioritize my vehicle and have been nothing but kind, respectful and hard working. They guarantee their work and stand by it 100%. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing their vehicle worked on.Services: Transmission, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Air conditioning

I brought my little focus in with a mystery fuel system problem and they took great care of my car! The work was quick and customer service from Bobby was great. He is a very nice guy. A great shop is hard to find, but I sure did find one here. I highly recommend them to anyone who will listen.

Family member was having some issues with a vehicle. Older model, Brad didn t hesitate to get right on it and Bobbie was very tolerant of him changing his mind on oil type. No gimmicks, honest, reliable and fair pricing.If I could give more than 5 stars I would.Definitely go here before you try anywhere else.

Not a very good experience. Went in for a simple tire rotation. Apparently the car kept dying, they tried to insist it was a starter. I had informed the shop we were having problems with the battery.Pretty snotty all the way around, but I got a new battery and guess what, wasn't the alternator maybe next time hillview !

Today my daughter visited me from out of town and was having car issues. A high pitched squealing coming from the engine. My daughter called Hillview auto and they were very helpful. We ended up taking it in even though we didn t have an apt. Brad took a look and found the problem quick. Was able to order the part and said they would try to get it done by the end of the day or first thing in the morning. We got a call at 4:35 saying it was done. I can t tell you how impressed we were with the service and with their willingness to go above and beyond for my daughter. I will also note the charge was very fair as well. I am new to the area and really didn t know where to go but I feel pretty lucky to find Hillview Auto.

I got a flat tire and this shop was the closest and open on Labor Day. They didn t fix the flat but the mechanic in charge changed it to the trucks spare. Fast and affordable service.

All of these good reviews are genuine. Honest and very knowledgeable folks here. I have taken both my daily classic and my wife's Honda in with straight forward estimates and quality repairs.

I brought my 2005 Jeep Wrangler X in for brakes and shocks. The prices are pretty reasonable for parts and labor. They warranty their work as well. When i came back to pick up my jeep Ruben said he replaced my sway bars as well. Since they needed to be replaced...i appreciated the extra effort...and they were not too expensive... i honestly would have liked phone call to communicate that this was going to be done. When i picked up my jeep there was an apparent noise that alerted me something was not correct. Turns out that one of the sway bars was put on the wrong side of the bolting area. They corrected it immediately. They also dropped me off to my house so i did not have to wait. I would recommend Hillside Auto. Ruben the owner is a straight shooter...no non sense and will provide great service. I will be returning in the near future. If the few glitches did not happen...it would be 5 stars.

Just want to say how much I appreciate this automotive shop!! My truck needed service while I was in Canyon Lake. I looked online for "Mobile Auto Mechanic" near me and Hillview Automotive came up. They are not a mobile mechanic shop, but Joyce was very kind and professional. She secured a tow truck for me. Brad agreed to stay after hours and replace the starter on my truck so I could make it back to Katy that night. Brad thanks for getting me back on the road! This shop will be my go to shop every time I'm in the Canyon Lake area.Service: Electrical

These guys understand that everyone isn't made if money even if they drive an older car. Still not sure why most mechanics won't touch a classic these days, they're pretty basic vehicles to work on, if not easier than most modern cars. Anyways these guys know their business and I trust their work and honest pricing. Will be a return customer.

Recently needed my clutch and throw out bearing replaced. Got a good quote and great work. They were fast and got me back on the road quick. Had a second problem, an electrical issue with the same vehicle. I had taken it to another local shop and they managed to do nothing but take my money and made the problem worse. Decided to have Hillview Automotive take a swing at that too. Not only did they fix it. They fixed it faster and cheaper than the guys that gave me more problems. Have 1 more issue I need worked out and you can bet I'll be taking it to Hillview Automotive. Great Service, Great Staff and Crew.

Dropped my car on a Friday and finally picked it up with a trailer the next Friday. It was a waste of my time. They said they probably wouldn't get to it until Monday and I said Wednesday would be fine. They never even looked at the car to diagnose it. And I told them what codes I was getting. I got different messages from front office and garage, which made me worried. I believed the garage and not the front office. Finally I called an end to the madness and I decided to retrieve my car on the eighth day because my friend conveyed a similar story in which she waited forever with literally no result. Front office lady fed my friend a line also in her opinion. Anyway, nice people. They are too busy so they must be doing something right.

This place is great! We just moved to the Canyon Lake area and my truck needed service immediately when we got here. I am so glad I found Hillview! I am a loyal customer for life now. They were able to get me in right away and diagnosed my problem (spark plugs were gapped too wide) without charging me for things I didn't need! They regapped my plugs and changed the oil and filter and I was good to go. Thank you Hillview!!Service: Oil change

I live an hour south of Houston. When possible I drive to Canyon Lake for the beauty of the hills, lake and rivers. This last Thursday, 5/21/2020, my engine light came on. I pulled up and Ruben fixed me up on the spot even though it was few minutes till closing. I was able to safely make the 3.5 hour drive home. He even wrote down part number I needed to have replaced locally. Also I did not get name of nice blond lady who was so kind to me. She talked me off the ledge, giving me peace of mind and even made me laugh. I can NOT recommend this place and these people enough. I have used Kirby at Hillside for years. Always a fair price and a decent and hard working man. His staff is also excellent. I have sent many folks to them and never had a bad report come back. These guys are the real deal.

Great service and quick turnaround for fixing my AC. My 94 RX7 uses the old R12 Freon. First took my car to Christian Bro s. and after keeping my car overnight called me and said that they could not work on a car that uses R12. Evidently R12 was replaced with R134A. Picked up the car and then called Wright Auto who said they could covert it to use 134A and to bring it in several days later. I went to their shop and when I arrived I was told that it would be one week before they could get to it. I was not happy at all with them in that they misled me regarding when they could fit me in. Looked up Hillside Auto on the internet, called and they said they could squeeze me in right away. Took my car in and they worked on it that day and had it ready that afternoon. They converted it to 134A and the AC is working great and the bill for this work was very reasonable! I highly recommend them.

Highly recommend! Took my vehicle elsewhere at first and was quoted high price for something that turned out not to be the problem. Told Reuben what the other place said it was and after checking my vehicle it was something entirely different with thousand plus less than what other place was charging me! Trustworthy friendly! Worth the 20mile drive out!

I took my truck in for a water pump and Ruben found a few other things that needed replacing. I'm glad they did or it would have been over heating again soon. They fixed me up at a fair price and still had it finished in one day.
