Travis and his team are AWESOME! This is my second time going here and I meant to leave a 5 star review the first time if I could give 10 stars I would. I went in today on the whim asking about my AC not even expecting him to be able to look at it today due to the popularity and busyness of his shop. Travis took the time to service my car even though he was backed up already (that s what happens when you re a reliable, honest, and integrity driven business you re busy!) and had my AC good as new in about 30 minutes. If you re looking for a trustworthy mechanic just stop searching and go here. Prices are reasonable and honest as well. I seriously won t take my car anywhere else . Thank you!

This has to be the most honest mechanic shop ever. My wife and I have been coming here for years to service and repair our vehicles for a fraction of the cost. When the dealership told me I needed new brake pads I balked. I brought my car to Century and Joe (rip) took a look and told me come back in 6 months. We finally changed the pads 18 months later. He never charged me for the intervals when I brought it in to check pads. I was a customer for life by that point. Joe s son Travis has taken over after working side by side for years with his Dad. He continues the friendly honest reliable service tradition. Austin is lucky to have this gem.

I wouldn t go anywheres else. As a woman it s been hard to find a shop that won t up charge or be inappropriate with me. I respect Travis and this shop so much.

I have been going to Century for over a decade now. I send people there anytime they experience vehicle challenges. Travis is an honest small business person that knows anything/everything about any issue I have encountered. I was trying to find a trustworthy shop to figure out an A/C issue with my car, and read some good reviews about Century Automotive on Reddit. Travis set up an appointment for me and advised me to show up early because they were very busy, and now I see why. I have a decent level of experience working on my own vehicles and I knew right away I was in the right shop. He diagnosed the problem pretty quick, and gave me a quote under what I was expecting and told me he would have it done the same day. Later that day I picked up my car and the A/C is blowing colder than it ever has and operates perfectly. I highly recommend this shop, these guys really know cars and do good work at a fair price, they are a great example of how automotive shops SHOULD operate. If I have any other issues with my vehicles outside of my own understanding I will without a doubt be back. Excellent service, Travis is the man!Service: A/C installation & repair

From the first call I knew we were going to be taken care of. I had talked with multiple other shops that gave me crazy quotes for AC repair. Once I got on the phone with Travis he gave me realistic numbers for different situations without even seeing the car. In the end it was 30% less than he quoted which was a wonderful surprise. 11/10 recommend this place. Also nice to support a local family business.

This is the BEST, most trustworthy mechanic shop I've ever been to and I've been to several around TX. Joe, Travis and the crew are very helpful and fix what needs fixing and that's it. I completely trust them with my car. I've had to have several things down to my little old car and they have always came through for me with professionalism and won't overcharge!!My Dad uses them and I've referred others that use them as well.I wont take my car anywhere else. As long I'm living in Austin, I will use them to service my cars. You won't regret taking your vehicles here, I promise!!!

I've been going to century for years now. They have been honest and helpful. My ex-wife, children, and friends all go to Century for car repairs. They are friendly, helpful, and most of all straight forward. They have an excellent network for referring work out that isn't work They do in house.They will give a fair price and the time frame for completion of a job. Multiple times They have told me what I need to do.Since they are not a corporate franchise they don't have the quota need nor do they have to worry about it since the customers they have are loyal and consistent.

I had some issues with my 4Runner's AC just in time for summer. I called Travis on a Monday and he said I could bring it in the next day. Not only did they get the AC blowing cold again in a matter of hours, they also fixed a number of other small issues with the car that had been bothering me for years - all at an extremely fair price. Honest, humble, friendly guys. Can't beat it.

Best shop I ve found so far in ATX. No place is perfect but last shop told me to junk my car and Century just fixed the clutch issue for $200. Still rolling 3000 miles later.

Travis and Team have kept my 2009 Rav4 in PEAK condition since I started visiting them in 2017. They replaced my oil, alternator, brakes and flushed my transmission over the past 6 years and have ALWAYS done it for a fair price (cheapest I've found around Austin.) They typically have me in and out in 6 hours and recently did an alternator/belt repair for me the day before thanksgiving on last-minute notice. Other shops quoted me $600, Travis charged me $440. Cannot recommend this shop enough!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Transmission repair, Brakes, Battery, Oil change

A 'hidden gem' for auto repair. If u blink you'll miss the street u need to turn to get to this great auto repair shop.. it's my go-to auto maintenance place from now on. I previously went to another shop for many years and never thought I would change. But I did and I'm very satisfied with my decision.

I cannot recommend this shop highly enough. Joe, Travis and the crew are true professionals that do great work and are more affordable than anything going.I have an old 4Runner that hadn't seen the inside of a shop for at least five years. Completely depleted shocks, leaking valves, old belts, leaking differential, on and on. After a few days in the shop, it drives better than when I bought it. The price was very reasonable (around half of what a dealer would charge) and the quality of the work is top notch.It's rare to find a quality and honest mechanic these days. Finding one that's affordable is near impossible. This place has all three attributes in spades. 10/10Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Battery, Oil change

Great great service. Brought my car as it broke down at the shop while they were really busy backed up. Still looked at my car for a while and never gave up towards the end I even got a small refund for more accurate labor costs. Fully honest team, loved Travis and his hard work! This was for a pesky Mazda radio issue that wasn t turning off!! Definitely will be paying a visit again in case the another auto issue occurs.

Update: I recently hit a concrete pillar in a parking garage and it knocked my alignment out of whack. My insurance company wanted me to take my car to one of their preferred mechanics, but I insisted on taking it to Joe and Travis. Sure enough, they had her assessed and fixed within two working days, and for much less than I had anticipated. And I got to meet Joe ("Dad") this time!I cannot recommend this place enough. No BS, just good work at good prices. Got my front and rear brake pads and rotors replaced for less than half the price quoted me by my dealership. Also, Travis is extremely nice and knowledgeable. Haven't met his dad, but I'm sure he's wonderful, too, because he raised a great son. Support this amazing local, family-owned business!

EDIT: This is STILL TRUE. I have referred numerous friends to them (I did today!), and they always come through.These are the best mechanics I have ever used, period.In almost forty years of owning various types of vehicles (mostly older), and living in three major cities in Texas (San Antonio, Dallas, and Austin), I have been to many different car repair shops. Most have been good, a few shady, but *none* has come anywhere close to being as knowledgeable, quick, and above all, HONEST, as Joe and Travis and the other mechanics here.I haven't been in about four years because I ended up with a new car after my old one was totalled, and I actually missed getting work done here. Today I went in to have a minor problem fixed, and Travis took care of it immediately. It's so nice to know that the level of service here us just as good as it ever has been.10/5 stars.

Hands down the absolute best mechanics around. My mercedes was leaking coolant and after paying Mercedes-Benz of Georgetown over $700 to fix the leak, I got the car back and it was leaking worse than before and they refused to do anything about it. Century, on the other hand, diagnosed and repaired my car and it has been running better than ever. Furthermore, they sourced the parts needed for as cheap as possible which saved me a lot of money. They also cleaned off the old coolant from the engine bay which Mercedes left looking like a mess. I also believe they cleaned off one of my headlights that was beginning to look foggy. They were all extremely respectful and honest and went above and beyond for their customers. I truly believe these are the best mechanics around

I absolutely love this place and recommend it to people all the time. Century gives top notch customer service. The guys here are honest and trustworthy. It puts my mind at ease that I know who to call when I'm having mechanical issues. They even installed exterior door handles for me and used the parts that I ordered online. After I tried installing them and realized I was in way over my head I decided to call Century. They were awesome and charged me an honest amount. It was totally worth it. I love this place and super appreciate all the awesome folks that work there! Thank you Century!!! If I could give you more than 5 stars I would!

They provide good honest advice on what your car needs to get it back on the road and complete the work in the time promised. This is the only place I trust for all my cars when they need work done. This is by far the BEST repair shop I've experienced in my lifetime. Honest, reasonable, and friendly. The AC went out in my 4Runner and Joe (owner) diagnosed the problem as the amplifier, and he called me and told me that the part from the dealership was $600, but that I should get on Ebay and find the part cheaper, which I did, for $83, and he said if I'd bring in the part, he'd only charge me for labor, which he did. And he fixed a separate problem with an air sensor.Joe, and his son Travis, are honest and professional and I would NEVER go anywhere else in this city. They're the best, and everyone knows it, which is why they've never gotten any review that is not 5 stars.

Like the rest of the reviews say, Joe and Travis do excellent work and are good, honest guys. They replaced my AC evaporator core which involved removing the dash on my truck. The work was done in the time promised and at a great price. I highly recommend them!

I almost hate to review this gem, because I want to keep Travis and Joe all to myself! But it's not like it's a secret that they are the honest honest, trustworthy and compassionate mechanics in all of Austin: they stay busy! Nevertheless, they make it happen to get your car fixed and back on the road quickly. They're kind and respectful of their colleagues, never speaking ill of others, while still being truthful about what they find. They have corrected issues dealt to us and our family members by other less than honorable mechanics with grace and efficiency. Their prices are more than fair. I will never go to another mechanic.

This guy was very honest and helpful. He went out if his way to make sure I knew what I was getting, and he did everything he could to make sure the used car was as nice as it could be before selling it, and have be a full list of work and potential problem he'd seen.I double checked with my mechanic, and everything I'd been told was accurate and complete.My experience here was great, and I would highly recommend them.

I hardly ever give reviews and sorry to take so long but Joe, Travis and the other guys working there (sorry can t recall everyone s name) are competent fair and trustworthy based on my first experience late last year. They worked on my 2000 Land Cruiser (270k+ miles) replacing upper and lower ball joints at a much better price than place X where I went before. Unfortunately I lost confidence in X for other reasons so I decided to try Century. To Joe s credit he refused to entertain my complaint about the previous work. He wouldn t speculate or judge another person and that s a mark of integrity. I learned that I should refrain from doing the same. I m not a mechanic. So you get good work, fair price, and a lesson in morals and ethics for no extra charge. Thanks guys. Highly recommend them.
