My absolute go-to gun shop. Whether I ve needed specialty firearms, optics, or just an every day carry, these guys have gone above and beyond to get what I need and always at a great price. Each member of the staff is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and customer focused.There hasn t been a time that I ve been in the shop (and I ve been there a lot) that I haven t witnessed at least one of the staff taking exceptional care to educate a customer on some particular subject matter. Even if there are 20 other customers in the room, they will make you feel like you re the only one there. The owner, Justin, is truly an expert in the industry and also one of the most genuine individuals that I ve ever met.Don t waste your time anywhere else!

All in all great shop. Awesome people, tons of awesome guns, tons of ammo and reloading supplies, optics, suppressors (no silencershop kiosk), gun bags and a gunsmith. If you frequent they remember you, Mike is super friendly and will chat with you until your ears bleed lol which for me I enjoy because he shows his passion for guns like I have. The other guy I call Charlie Day (I think it's Josh lol) because he's a dead ringer for younger him is also a favorite of mine, always smiling and ready to help you out and is extremely knowledgeable and current. I hope they see this and get a laugh.

Friend of mine had his brand new rifle worked on here. The gun was damaged when they had it. The stock was damaged. They said they won't repair it. Couldn't be me!

They had exactly the rounds I wanted, in the amount I wanted them. The great selection of firearms. I would suggest that you go on in, support them, and your second amendment right.

Went there to trade for another firearm and was told over the phone they would do it. It was brand new never fired and they are highly desirable and not easy to find cheap. They told me they would offer half of the original purchase price when I had arrived because it's "used" even though never fired. Argued with me telling me that's the going price for them used, a gentleman beside me did some research while I was talking and proved them wrong. The basically laughed in my face and said see ya. So I drove an hour and a half for them to go back on what they said. All other employees were sitting around trying to tell me they were giving me a good deal. Maybe a gun store should know the going rates for new and used guns if they're going to offer buy sell trade. Jokers. Hopefully they go out of business

I work for a gun store in North Central WV and these guys help us every single time we need anything weather it facilitating transfers or anything else. Always polite on the phone. I'm tempted to even buy guns from them But seriously a great shop to work with.

I've only been in twice but I am really impressed with this store - great small business feel, yet they have a huge inventory. The staff is very knowledgeable and prices are surprisingly competitive. This will definitely be the first place I look for firearms/accessories. UPDATE: I have now purchased a few guns here and had some work done on another, and I have confirmed my initial impressions. The staff (basically the same two guys every time I go in) is very helpful and they did a really nice job repairing and cleaning a pistol for me.

I ve shopped at this place for a couple years now. Justin has always been decent. Other sales people are usually duds. Today I went in to buy a 45 ACP. The sales person, Mike, showed no interest in helping me find something. After I was able to press him to help me, I found a gun and filled out all the necessary paperwork.While I was standing there waiting for 45 minutes, 4 other people were approved ahead of me (but came in much later than me and filled their apps out after me). No one asked to help me or to try to resubmit my application or even call someone. They just kept going about their business helping others and not a care in the world about my time or frustration.Gun business must be booming because no one apparently want to work a little to take my money. Sorry Justin, I m taking my $$ elsewhere. Good luck

This is the best store for everything you need to know about purchasing a firearm! We went there as first time buyers and spent well over an hour talking, getting tips and trying out different firearms to purchase. Every employee there was very kind, knowledgeable, helpful, PATIENT and respectful of our needs. I cannot say enough about this place and this is the only place I will patronize from now on for future purchases of firearms and ammo. Even the doggone dog is polite and kind!!! (And beautiful and well behaved!) Please give them a try-you won t regret it!

Had a great experience while looking for a new pistol. Excellent selection of models in stock. Staff were very friendly and highly knowledgeable. They went above and beyond to help me decide on what was right for me. Prices were in line with other shops in the area, and were reasonable. 100 % will be back in the future.

An amazing selection of firearms, ammo and accessories. Seriously, they barely had enough room on their shelves and racks for all the firearms. The young man that helped me, Alex, is also a gunsmith and very knowledgeable, helpful and the kinda guy you'd go back to ask for advice. I highly recommend this gunshop!

You cannot go wrong with Federal Firearms. They are a 3rd generation family business. The staff there is beyond patient, the prices are great, and they treat you like family. Josh and Justin's knowledge was unmatched. Far beyond what you get at the box stores. Plus you could see Hank the shop dog.

Not normally one to write reviews, but I can't say enough about Federal Firearms, especially as a first time buyer. Bruce was friendly and helpful to my girlfriend and I, and Hank the Tank (the store dog) was awesome! Thanks again for a great first buying experience; we will definitely be back.

I can't remember the last time I left a negative review but this one is justified. So disappointed with a visit here today. I called to ask about some shotshell reloading parts. I asked for a specific part (1-oz. MEC 502 bar). "Yes, we have one of those here." I took time off, drove over, went through all of the stock and they had every bar except a 1-oz. I thought maybe they put the part behind the counter for me and when I asked the person who took my call he walked over and said, "Here they are." When I explained to him what I asked for he actually argued with me about it! More than once! "No you didn't!" I get that they may not know about these parts or sell them often. You don't just ask for this particular part that way because they make about a dozen different ones and they are sized for different types of loads. If the guy says, "I misunderstood you, sorry, I don't know what those are," anything other than argue, I'm still looking around in the store for something to buy...I spoke with a manager / owner on the way out the door and he apologized. Horrible, horrible service. I have had gunsmithing done here, bought parts, ammunition, etc. I'll think twice now about heading back.

Great selection, prices, and staff. Not a fan of most of the other gun shops in the area due to poor customer service and/or high prices so I usually order alot offline. Now that I found federal, it's my go to. Highly recommend.

Great group of gentlemen, can't forget Hank such a beautiful dog.Very knowledgeable staff, with reasonable prices.If you are looking for a handgun or a rifle, this is definitely a place worth checking out.

Not Ally, but her father. Wife and I went today. First time purchasers. Had read all the great reviews and can say that this is the place to go if you are a first timer. Spent an hour and a half getting informed and shown what best fit our needs. Great, patient service. Listened to us, and provided us details on making sure we get the necessary training. Couldn't recommend more. Will be back in the future.An Update. 2 weeks ago we purchased our firearm. Part of the information we obtained at Federal was someone who could train us since we were new to weapons ownership. Couldn't be more pleased with their recommendation of Lambert Strayer from 472 Firearms Fundamentals. In the past two weeks, Lambert came to our home to train us and our two oldest daughters on weapons safety in the home, and had us to the range for range safety training, as well as instructing us in actually firing the weapon. Lambert, Steve, and Samantha from 472 have made all of us feel safe at the range while teaching us and answering all of our novice questions. Although my wife can't currently shoot due to an injury, she has been able to learn by watching the step by step hands on training, and she and my daughters love the fact that they can actually work with a female instructor. We feel comfortable with our purchase and our training. Can't say enough good things about Federal and 472.

This place has terrible customer service. I called to ask if they could fix the safety on a gun. They said to bring it over. I drive a half hour and they tell me that they are not working on guns right now because it's hunting season. When I asked why they didn't tell me that over the phone, the only response was, "You have nice day." When I first got there they asked me if my 410 was a .22 while in their hands and then they asked if they wanted the safety fixed or just removed. As if I want a shotgun with no safety. Why would I bother having it removed if it doesn't work anyhow?

I have been going to this store for close to 5 years, purchased every single firearm I own from this store. The staff treats you like family, have answered every question I ever asked and always took their time to show me anything I wanted to look at. Ive bought everything from magazines to high end firearms here and will never go to another gun shop.

This is a great gun shop. First time in. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. They took the time to show me numerous guns and explain the pros and cons of each. I was also very impressed with the variety of guns. Highly recommend checking this place out.

The employees are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. The shop has a very homey feel. The gun selection is awesome. Plus their shop dog is adorable. I won t go anywhere else for firearms or ammo!

Your one stop gun shop! They have anything and everything you need! If for some reason they happen to not have it in stock they will do everything possible to get you what you want!! Justin is extremely knowledgeable and he is surround by a very friendly staff!

Great store with a very good selection of the right stuff. Very helpful and relaxed staff! They have an in store gunsmith who is helpful and knowledgeable. Really good selection of firearms and accessories, was pleasantly surprised. Bought a sidearm and some ammo, will definitely go back.

Absolutely horrible experience! The employees were uneducated on all aspects of the business and we were treated very poorly! Even the owner was not helpful. Do not suggest this place for anyone to go to and spend your hard earned money!
