Beautiful rocky beach area with access on a trail at the north end of the parking lot next to the "no fires on the beach" sign. Unless your dog is very agile, i would not recommend bringing a pet due to the steep slope down to the water. If you are going here to surf fish, you should not waste your time as the whole area is a seaweed forest. You will tow in 10 pounds of weeds with every cast.

Exceptionally narrow road, a second car would not have fit next to a truck driving in. Small parking lot with a giant mud puddle in the middle. Pretty view next to a wood fence but not a single otter to be seen. Very steep trail with large roots popping up. To get up or down to the beach you need to use/trust and old rope tied to a tree. Small beach at the bottom. Not a kid friendly trail.

Great little pullout. I've driven by here many times on 101, but never knew this was here. Pulled off 101 onto the old coast highway and pulled in here looking for a place to eat our brought from home lunch.Beautiful, windy short walk out to Otter Point. Beautiful views up and down the coast. Not crowded at all. Excellent break from the madness that is 101.

Otter Point itself is the most dramatic ocean place in the area, beautiful and wild. The Oregon Coast Trail intersects the trail B. McGill mentions. To the south it goes through dense vegetation (shrubs & small trees) toward the sand beaches, and to the north you can go down a steep trail to the beach(es) at the base of the point, for tide-pooling, agate-hunting, great views. Avoid this (north) trail during high tides because much of the beach area is underwater then. Enjoy the point itself anytime but remember that rocks wet from sea-spray are treacherous. Cormorants nest in the cliffs that face generally north, on ledges that are inaccessible except by air; look for chicks left there while the parents are hunting.

Such a beautiful spot! Fenced cliff side parking. Steep trail down to the beach, but the stones and the view from down there is worth the hike!

Way cool spot! Hike down the well traveled trail to my favorite spot in the Gold beach costal area. Warning keep small kids close to you because there are high cliffs.

The road in that is narrower than some driveways I've been on but once you get in there the view is spectacular in the trail is gorgeous
