This place and the owner are AWESOME! Long story short...my transmission went out of my Yukon. Whitesides in St. Clairsville didnt want to make it right even though I have a warranty thru GM and extended warranty. Nip dealt with my warranty company and had a new transmission ordered and installed within a week! I can't thank them enough. The staff was so friendly! I highly recommend Mattern Tire to anyone having vehicle issues!

When your new in town and you don't know where to take your pride and joy.So I did the normal things I asked around, you know co-workers, guys at the gym....Well I got mixed reviews for mattern tire.I took my Hummer H2 there for some work last year and again today. Fast courteous and very friendly. I had them replace the front wheel bearing on one side. I replaced the one on the other side myself a month early so I know how long it takes. Point is they beat my time so I know there on the ball. And I travel alot so I know what labor charges are around the country. They are very fair, I mean really fair!!!Yes I would recommend them to family and friends.Thanks again for taking of my pride and joy.

Well my son and I built a Chevy truck took it there to have exhaust put on,, wow what a mistake they did not have the right parts and was not prepared to do the job they had two weeks to get correct parts but ordered wrong ones, my son and I did half the exhaust outselves while mattern tire employees wondered around the shop. I would NOT recommend this place it would be a good place to start a shop. You can't really blame the workers with what they get paid an HR I would not even get up out of bed for 13.00 hr cheap labor wages and expensive rates for doing half the job that was quoted.

What a TERRIBLE company! Took my car in last week and spent $900 to get it fixed. Within a few days the car sounded worse than it did when I took it in originally so we called then and took it back in. They called and said it need $300 more worth of work when I told them they needed to fix it without charging me anything else because it was just in the shop and I had already spent $900 and the issue wasn t fixed they then said said well it doesn t really need more work done right now just ride it out. So when they thought they could charge us $300 more the work NEEDED to be done but when I told them they needed to fix it without charging us more because we already spent $900 all of the sudden the work didn t really need to be done. What a joke I will never take my car there again and you shouldn t either they will up charge you and not even fix your car properly!!

Nip is a wonderful person and they do exceptional work. The lady they have working as receptionist is terrible though. Hopefully he can find someone who is nicer and more thorough with the customers.

The work was done satisfactory but my husband has passed away and when I asked about the $175. They needed to reimburse him for a lost wheel simulator from our RV was told they would discuss and get back to me one month later on response.

As a contract worker from Georgia I found to be in need of a replacement road and spare tires. Mattern Tire had a full set of "pull offs" from a delivery truck that matched the size needed with no perceivable wear. An equitable price was agreed upon. When I arrived at the store the tires were mounted in record time, I jokingly asked if their shop personnel worked for NASCAR.Staff was efficient and polite, waiting area was clean and comfortable and please with getting a fresh set with two spares out of the deal.I don't give five stars as a rule, this is the exception.

The service and employees are incredibly nice. But I will say that after spending the money I did that things are still not fixed and its worse. I had a clutch kit put in my jeep and ever since I got it back it hasn't ran right. Before I took it there, the only issue I had was the clutch. Now I'm having issues luke it wasn't put together correctly. I went to another shop and rhwy even said they didn't think that it was put together correctly. Now that its been two mths im sure ill have to pay again to figure out what the issue is that I never had before it was worked on. Other then that problem, they are a great place and will look n fix if there mistake but ive had them look n they said no issues. Unfortunately, I know there's an issue because since ive got it back I havent been able to drive it that much.

They are very good at what they do. Felt right at home. Nip mattern took the time to help me pick the best rims and tires for my truck. Nicole at the desk was very nice. And informative. And the tire tech Nimo was awesome . i will come back . thanks Mattern tire for everything.

They always get us right in when my husband's work vehicle needs repairs or tires. He depends on his truck for his business so it's very important that it be off the road as little as possible. Mattern's understands and gets the job done as quickly as possible while still being thorough!

Extra charges when getting an oil change put a bad taste in my mouth. I asked for an Oil Change only before I left and when I get back there was a charge for washer fluid as well, $3 for a refill when I have a jug at hame and could do it in just a few seconds and save the money. Not good business practices in my opinion!

I have been dealing with MATTERN TIRE LTD for around 20 or more years since they first opened on the Lincoln avenue location. I have had oil changes with all my liquid levels checked on a regular basis. When I have damage done to my motor, by people I trusted to drive my vehicles, I have had the most reliable and reasonable repairs done. 'Nip' Frank Mattern took personal interest in the details of the workmanship done to my vehicles for all these years. I get tires from him and when I get all 4 tires, the rotation is free. He doesn't charge by the hour like some do. If you only use another 10 minutes in the repair, you aren't charged for another hour. Just by 15 minute intervals. I'm glad to have him working on my family's vehicles.

Great service, friendly people. Had my dog with me, and they offered water, and let me bring her inside from the heat while my car was worked on.

Thank god for places like this. We had a vehicle emergency and they got us in almost immediately. They also sponsor a credit card that offers 6mo. Intrest free on any purchase which is nice considering 4 tires can cost around 1000 dollars. Overall we got our vehicle back, fixed, and 4 new tires by the time other places said they were available to even have us drop it off. Will be buying all my tires from Mattern Tire for now on.

This is the worst rip off shop in ohio they installed an engine in my truck charged me 5000 dallors had nothing but problems and now took it to the ford dealer the bearings are going out out the engine plus timming chains are slapping very dissatisfied with these people who I trusted I really don't think they are certified!!just a bunch of trash to rip a working man off who was!!!!! A great customer for 3 yrs took 5 autos to get ripped off!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP FOR TIRES AND AUTO WORK!!! I have been there about 5 times for tires on three different vehicles in the past 4 months, every time I have received same day service, I have been treated fairly and with politeness and respect. Would highly recommend this shop for tires and services!!!!

I had done a lot of business with them over the course of a few years. This last time had a lot of problems with a few things that they had done!I had a delete done on my truck unfortunately my parts disappeared and couldn t be located.After several attempts texting back and forth, I was informed they where gone. I was told that I could buy parts from someone else who had a delete done there.It s a bunch of of B.S!Just because your not from that area does not mean you need to be screwed.I will never do business with these people ever again lesson learned.....

I have had tires put on twice..the first time my exaust pipe broke because it was worn ..but no problem they welded it back at no charge..that's why they will always do my tires..Great work nice people..

Took my truck in to get fixed and when I picked it up there were cigarette ashes on the seat and it smelled like smoke terribly. When I confronted them about it they denied it but I do not smoke and when I dropped it off it was clean.

Needed to get a tire on an emergency, was 5:30pm and they closed at 6 said they could get me in right away. Dependable service here.
