Helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable staff.Price was not inflated and very upfront.I got a used car inspection and it was well worth the $59 I paid. A great piece of mind knowing I'm getting a good used car.

I have used Coastal Autoworks for servicing all of my family s vehicles (Subaru, Toyota, and Ford) for the past few years. They are knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. The shop is clean and well-run. I always drove by here thinking "I need to take my Toyota there" I finally got stuck in lovely castle hayne traffic right by the entrance. So I pulled in, went in and scheduled an appointment for an oil change which wasn't too far away. On the day of my appointment I got there early and my car was taken back before my appointment time, which was impressive to me. I was told at check in they rotate tires with oil changes and could they do that today which was great. I was done in less than an hour and less than $100 they even checked on a noise issue I had without an additional charge. My only regret is not coming here sooner!

If you are looking for a highly skilled and honest shop to take care of your automobiles, you just found it. This is simply the best automotive repair shop I have encountered. Guy and his staff are courteous, take time to explain things in ways that non gearheads can understand, and they have you in and out exactly when they say they will. I also find their pricing frequently to be less (sometimes significantly so) than similar shops and most importantly, they are worthy of your trust. What a gem! We had a flat tire on I-40 while taking our three kids on a day trip. Coastal Auto entertained our kids while they quickly patched the tire, and we were on our way in no time. We will be back due to their excellent service!Service: TiresService: Tires

Very honest and professional people work here. I came in thinking my whole AC system would need replacing based on another shop s diagnosis. The guys here saw that it was just the compressor that needed to be replaced and did the job for about half what the other shop quoted me. I ll be back again soon for sure!!!

I dropped off my Tacoma with them for an oil change, and since I lived near by they were kind enough to drive me home. I accidentally left without leaving my phone number with them but they tracked me down any way. They did an oil change and were thorough in looking over my car for any thing I should take care of. I appreciate their attention to detail and I really felt they had my best interests at heart. Are they as cheap as a shade tree neighborhood mechanic? Probably not, but their honesty and quality are worth the price difference and more. I consider them to be a good value. Recently moved to Rocky Point and needed a new service center, I automatically liked this place! Had general maintenance done on my SUV and was in and out of there within an hour. Will definitely go back...thanks guys!!!

I'm new to the area and was searching for a place with decent pricing and that wouldn't tell me everything under the sun needs to be fixed. My car is older and I know it could use a lot of upgrades but I took my car in due to a grinding noise around lunch time and they had it fixed by 5. I was beyond impressed with how fast they were and how nice they were with serving me the bad news. I will definitely be a loyal customer here and feel like I can trust them to keep my old girl rolling.

I am beyond impressed with the service every time. Whenever I take my vehicle in they always get it back to me in less than 48 hours. The prices for their work and labor are beyond fair and they always look my vehicle over for obvious problems. Last time I brought my car in for a belt replacement and they ended up telling me my brakes were about to go which is a HUGE safety issue, and they fixed it right up for me. It s so hard to find reputable and affordable mechanic services in the Wilmington area, but these guys are just fantastic.

The guys here are great and I'm so thankful for everything they did on my Ram Promaster. I had a week worth of work on my van that needed to be done in one day for my drive across the country and these guys made it happen. They were communicative and honest. Amazingly clean and organized shop, great customer service. I have worked in shops in the past and their prices and quality of work impress me. I don't like anyone touching my car other than things like tires and inspection but I wouldn't hesitate to take my car here for something other than the tires I got a few months back. My father takes all his vehicles there and I have been extremely happy with the work they did.

Great place with a great team. I went to the shop on the recommendation of a friend. I took my Range Rover in for front and rear brakes. The shop is so clean and organized it looked more like a surgical suite. I met several of the gentleman who own and operate the shop , and I immediately felt like family. They were so courteous and generous with their time , explaining everything in detail. My appointment was scheduled , I brought my vehicle in on the designated day , and was greeting by smiling , professionals again ! It was ready right on time , they were exceptionally fair priced , and the work was executed perfectly. I am picky about my vehicles , and this was an EXCELLENT service experience , which is rare these days. What an excellent team. Hands down best repair shop in the Wilmington area. I had a time-sensitive situation, trying to catch a flight, when my car broke down. It was 3:30 on a Friday, and I needed specific parts. Coastal Autoworks had the situation solved within two hours even though it meant they had to stay late. They went above and beyond and were reasonably priced. Customer service was incredible. I trust Coastal Autoworks with all my vehicle maintenance and repairs. They are locally owned and operated and highly professional and knowledgeable. They are honest and will look out for your best interest! I referred my Dad and Sister to Coastal and they have earned their business as their go-to mechanics as well! I was returning to Raleigh from Wilmington and had some engine trouble. I was too far out of Wilmington to get back there with the current state of my vehicle so I stopped off in Castle Hayne and was lucky enough to meet the guys at Coastal Autoworks.They initially told me it would be a day or two before they would be able to get my SUV fixed, but after finding out I was heading back to Raleigh they graciously agreed to take a look. A few hours later I was all fixed up and back on the road! I can't thank them enough, and I highly recommend the team at Coastal Autoworks for anyone in the area! This is a wonderful place that helps in anyway they can.. they have looked after my girls , my mother and myself for a couple of years now. And just today they went above and beyond to help my oldest daughter to get the most out of her extended warranty by staying on the phone for over an hour with them!!! She is a graduate student and needs every penny ... plus needs a dependable car to get her to and from work.!!! They keep us on the road safely and always find a way to work us in to their busy schedule... we appreciate all of you and your work ethics and knowledge!!!

Did repair in timely fashion; didn't have to wait. Another auto repair was trying to sell me on wheel bearings for 2 wheels, coastal auto works said I only needed for one wheel; very honest. Will be repeat customer; highly recommend.

This is the best auto shop I've found in my 10 years in the Wilmington area. These guys are polite, respectful, incredibly accommodating and know their stuff. As someone raised with close family in the automotive industry, and used to repairs being done by myself or family, it takes a lot for me to trust someone else with my vehicles, but there is no other shop I'd take my car to. If you're in Wilmington, it is absolutely worth the drive to Castle Hayne.

Have a Honda and are looking for a reliable, fair, affordable place to have your service done? Go to Coastal Autoworks. We have been going to them for a few years now and are very pleased. Ken is a Honda Master Technician so you don't have to worry about knowledge. He knows his stuff. They also handle other auto makes and models.

These guys are great I owned and have been in the new and used car business my entire life in another county and I am use to getting my vehicles fixed by the best local mechanics, a long weeding out process, when I decided to stay in Wilmington I would take my cars back to my home town, 5 hours round trip, to get my cars fixed but a former coworker of theirs recommend I give them a shot and I did and now I take all my local cars to them. If I had a lot here in Wilmington they would be my go to mechanics they make things work the way they should and not needlessly change expensive parts for no reason. Great guys... Very helpful and great on timing... I set up an appointment for an oil change... I needed to wait, because of my timing, for the car... "Guy" and his team had me in and out, FULL SERVICE OIL CHANGE, and on the road in less than 30 minutes... We will be coming back with all of our auto needs...Thanks a Ton - James C...

The owners and staff are very knowledgeable ,fair and easy to deal with.As a female I've NEVER felt like I was taken advantage of because of my lack of auto knowledge or felt pushed to get unnecessary repairs like I have from other places. Over the years I've had everything from oil and fluid changes, tire rotation to more major repairs and they've always got it done in a timely fashion so that I'm without my transportation as little as possible while getting serviced.
