$200 to patch one tire. I ve been here a few times, and though it s been expensive they re close to my home and a few minutes walk to work, so I accepted it. Today, after discovering a screw in my tire, I dropped it off and walked to work. They said they would call and tell me how much it would be after they looked at it. A few hours later, they called to tell me it was ready and would cost $190, plus the fees for using a credit card if I don t have cash. $60 for the patch and $120 for the labor. A very pricey mistake. They lost a customer today. And they changed my radio station to Patriot XM, loudly. Yuck.

Growing up, our family business was auto repair - two shops in Manhattan and later one in Boca when we moved to Florida. I always thought there were very few shops like my family s which held honesty and integrity at the forefront of their values. From the first time I went to B&B and dealt with their wonderful staff, I could clearly see this shop is one of those few beacons of light in the industry. We were in and out for an NYS inspection the same day, something which can be very difficult to come by out in the Hamptons. I could see how much each member of the staff deeply cares about their work, and wants to make sure that every car not only in town but all over the area is in fine working order to ensure the safety of all the residents around here. Kudos to this amazing shop for keeping safety first, I ll definitely be back!

I was stuck with nowhere to get a replacement tire in Sag Harbor and this place was nice enough to price gouge me! What a wonderful way to do business! Normally a new tire on my car cost $550 and this scumbag charged me $990! This is why people in this business get a bad reputation! The good part is he was able to get my very hard to get tire in a few hours! Oh he also claimed the job took 2 hours which of course was added to the bill. Stay clear of this operation at all costs!

If I could give them no stars I would. Do not take your car here. I brought my Jeep in for inspection and they said it failed because my front brakes were metal to metal, my battery was too old, there was no oil in my engine and my wipers chattered. The only thing that relates to the inspection are the brakes. Everything was a lie. They tried to take advantage of my wife who brought the car in.I told them not to do the brakes because I do them and I would take the car back and do them myself. Miraculously the brakes were all of a sudden ok for inspection. I told the that I never experienced any chatter on my wipers and I thought they were fine. No streaking and the blades were completely intact. Then Lisa says if I buy new wipers from them and a couple of quarts of oil they would pass inspection on the car. When I refused to pay their ransom they said come get your car and we are failing it because of broken wipers. They are completely DISHONEST! They also told me the air filter was clogged. I just got it home to check the air filter and of course it is not clogged. There were actually a couple of small leaves in the bottom but the filter was in good shape. They actually never even looked at the air filter because the bolt that holds it in was rusted shut. No way it rusted in the 20 minutes it took me to get home. They are DISHONEST! These people are actually trying to steal your money with lies about parts that don t need to be replaced. They are liars and DISHONEST. It is DISGUSTING. Now I will take it to my local shop at home and it will pass inspection.I will be filing a complaint with the NYS DMV. Do not take your car here. They are liars and DISHONEST.UPDATE: Two days later I took my Jeep to another inspection shop and they passed the car with no changes made to my car. They were confused about the fact my car was failed by B&B. B&B are dishonest. They will make up problems with your car to take your hard earned money.

This review is going to sound like I m Bobby s cousin as I wish I could give it 6 stars. It all started on a Sunday when I got two flat tires at the same time. While waiting for AAA I was searching for a local garage that could fix the car as the AAA garages were all too far away. I stumbled upon B&B but the site said closed on Sunday so I left a message hoping to get a call back Monday morning. But what happened was I was called back in 10 min by Bobby who then checked in with me all day on his day off to make sure I was ok. The car was eventually picked up and dropped there and first thing Mon Bobby was on it! Trying to track down two tires on the day when all the dealerships are closed turned into quite an adventure but after I told him I needed to be back in the city to take my elderly father to the dr he went into overdrive, made it his number one priority and got me back on the road that day!I will forever remember the care and competency with which his team took care of me not to mention I also got to meet his cool dog!Service: Tires

They gave me an inspection and got my car back to me in a couple hours. It was very affordable, only 10$, and everyone i interacted with was very nice and funny

Lisa and crew are great - I was in a bind and they took care of a totally flat tire in 10 minutes. And charged me the least they possibly could. Thanks all! Hopefully I don t have to see you again, but if I do, I know I m in good hands!

I had a nail in one tire and dropped off the car for a patch/repair, they found another tire with a bubble and it needed to be replaced. All said and done they did the work quickly, professionally and I was finished and had my car back within a few hours of dropping it off, without a previous appointment. Went for inspection and was told it needed $1200 in service. I know cars, the repairs were not necessary per New York State. Owner agreed and blamed inexperienced technician. Then he failed it citing his opinion - not NYS regs. Went to pick up my car and the battery was dead. Told I needed to purchase a new battery. Jumped the car and battery still good two years later. Took the car to the dealer for inspection and passed. I don't know if I was getting scammed, but I will never take any of my vehicles to this guy again.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. They charged me for 8 hours of service for an inspection. They did $2,000 of work without asking me if I wanted it done. They kept telling me they would get my car back that day and then ended up keeping it for 3 days and when they told me it would be ready they made me wait another hour.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

I was charged $350.28 for an oil change (2018 VW Atlas).I blame myself for not asking for a quote up front and encourage anyone who chooses B & B Auto, for anything, to get a quote in writing first. That said, I also encourage no one to ever visit B & B Auto for anything.After dropping my car off, I received a call from the shop asking two additional questions: 1. My rear license plate screw was loose, do I want a new one? 2. My NYS registration sticker was expired, do I want it to be scraped off? I answered yes to both.Picking up the car, I was told the total for the oil and 1.5 hours of labor was $350.52. Taken aback, I was told it was a "special screw and hard to install" and that there is a minimum fee of 1 hour of labor for all oil changes.Its unfortunate that they've built a business around taking advantage of clients by adding services to maximize billable hours.I live less than a half mile from the shop and instead of being a life-long customer, I'm a life-long detractor that will actively tell people to stay away.Service: Oil change

Amazing staff and service! Got a flat tire on our summer road trip and only had one day in town to get it fixed. They had my car in first thing in the morning, replaced the blown out tire and another that was about to go, balanced and rotated in just a few hours. Total scammers. Got something stuck in my tire. Wanted to make sure I didn't have a leak. Brought it in 20 minutes worth of work.... But 45 minutes later and $130 no leak in my tire. Like I said total scammers.

On my way to the Hamptons, my wheel sounded funny so I called basically all the auto repair shops nearby and Bob was the only one that was available. Lisa was very polite on the phone and super attentive throughout my whole experience. Not only was Bob able to fix my tire in a day but his rates were very reasonable. (Cash only) I 100% recommend!

I walked outside in the early morning to find my tire was flat.. I called B&B they came immediately inflated my tire, drove my car to the service station, ( I got a ride to work) before noon my car was back in my driveway good as new! I have just had the most unpleasant experience with B&B Auto Service located at 144 Hampton St. Gulf Gas Station today (8-2-21). I called them earlier today for an appointment and was told that it would take 30 minutes to repair. I dropped off my car. After waiting for two hours, the car was still not ready. When I pointed out this is taking much longer than what I was promised, I was told by the owner that I cut into his lunch break and patience is a virtue . Following his incredible rudeness, he charged me for $145 for one tire repair. I had visited them in Winter 2021 for tire repair and was only charged $60. When I disputed the charges, he did not care at all. In order to retrieve my car, I had no option but to pay this amount.Furthermore, he insisted on cash payment which I was not told in advance. As a community member I feel violated and exploited; and would like to share my experience.Service: Tires

Fantastic service! We were heading out of town and encountered brake trouble. B & B really did rescue us and provided expert analysis with quality work, all while helping us that day. Thoughtful, considerate and friendly people - from Bob the owner to his whole crew. Highly recommend B & B to anyone from anywhere.

They did a great job handling an unexpected flat, which need a special order to repair. Friendly, accommodating, fairly priced. I had two dogs and a lot of gear, and was on a schedule--they took care of the problem efficiently during a very busy weekend ever got me back on the road on time.Service: TiresService: Tires

Bobby and the team are the best. We had a fender bender on our way to our Sag Harbor rental house, and they got us back on the road <36 hours later! It was a minor miracle, and they did it with a smile. Highly recommended

Worst service I ve seen. That one lady who works there is one nasty person and probably even racist. She charged $500 to change one tire and waiting until it was finished to give a price. Scam. Ontop of that another customer complained for waiting 30 minutes and she told him to sit on the floor. She needs to be fired ASAPService: TiresService: Tires

I am making an honest review about b&b auto, Bobby is excellent ! He is very knowledgeable of what he is doing and told me what was wrong with my 2015 Chevrolet Cruze as soon as I drove into the shop, but I still wanted him to use the diagnostic machine ( which is free but $120 at Marshall s) which he did and the same codes came up which he already knew.. they are also very fast and efficient , I got my car the day after the parts were delivered and communication was very clear.

Outstanding Service. I called on a Friday at 1 pm, looking to get a diagnostic on a check engine light. Despite not being able to arrive until 4:30, 30 minutes before they close, they happily did the diagnostic and provided me with recommendations. All of the staff was friendly and helpful, and made me feel like a priority. Highly recommend!

The service from B&B was above and beyond!! With no response form Southampton BMW, we were referred to Bobby at B&B! They promptly addressed, diagnosed and resolved our issue with our new BMW. We could not have been more pleased and appreciative! Shop local!!!

Charged me $20 for air and then proceeded to charge me an additional $45 to put on a donut. When my vehicle was returned to me my flat tire was thrown on top of my purse and laptop in my trunk when they could have simply moved them to the side.Service: TiresService: Tires

Bobby is my hero! My car was overheating & I had just arrived in Montauk for a vacation. My hotel recommended B & B. I received outstanding service from Bobby who was honest & went above & beyond to help. I highly recommend B & B!

Starter in my truck broke down in camp hero while fishing. Called B&B and they came and towed me ASAP. Bob repaired my truck and got me back to fishing right away. Thought the worst about the cost for tow and repair but prices were very fair. Wouldn t mind breaking down in Montauk again. Thanks Bob!
