I have been here a couple of times now and have always received amazing service. They are very informative, helpful and awesome! They take great care of my car and are very knowledgable. If you ever need service or repair you should definitely check them out, super happy and will continue coming here! Genuinely good people and run an amazing business.

The owner is so sweet and professional. I have been getting tickets because my car doesn t have a front plate. Since it s a new model we can t find the right screw anywhere. Dean the owner helped me figured immediately. I felt so lucky this place is near my neighborhood!!!

I don t even know who to thank. I got a flat today on my way to work and left to find it down. Even after closing they lent their air pump for me to get my car around to the shop and have a new tire put on. Great service even greater people. Happy holidays

I just came here because my car stated I needed to add a quart of engine oil if I needed to continue driving. Alby helped me almost immediately and never charged me for the quart of oil; he just said you bring it for the oil change when it needs it! I never had customer experience like this! I will recommend and I m his new client!!!!God bless him!

I can't say enough great things about West Village Auto Repair. They've come to my rescue twice in the past week, once to fill my tire with air and once to plug a leak in my tire. The people at this repair shop are fantastic! I stopped in with a flat tire, they filled it up, and when they could not locate the leak, recommended a nearby tire dealership for me. Then they would NOT let us pay them anything. Definitely a five star recommendation!Service: TiresService: Tires

The last honest mechanic in Manhattan! Charlie is well-known in this neighborhood as a truly honest and fair mechanic, and his expertise in diagnosing problems is unmatched. He recently resolved what I thought was a huge problem, but it was a very minor fix and he graciously did not even charge me, then parked my car in the street while I was at work (not an easy task in the West Village!). This place is amazing, and comes with my highest recommendation!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I called today to ask if there's any availability for an oil change. The person on the phone said they don't do just oil changes even though it's listed as a service. I asked how much a full service would be he answered "I don't know what car you have buddy you have better shot outside the city to get that done" and hung up

Great work, very knowledgeable staff, and fantastic customer service. They go above and beyond to be helpful. I had my break pads replaced and car detailed. It looked brand new after. In the past they have also helped me with leaking tires, completely free of charge.� Highly recommend�West Village Auto Repair to anyone who needs their car serviced! Amazing service for my car inspection here- I showed up for my appointment at the scheduled time and had the inspection complete shortly after (was even able to reclaim my parking spot!) Charlie, the owner, is truly a great guy and a gem to have in the neighborhood. I now understand why they have such a loyal clientele and as a new car owner will be returning for all of my future service needs!

The West Village Auto Repair Shop deserves a medal! It s the kind of auto shop that doesn t take advantage of people, like myself, who know nothing about cars. Even if you haven t got a clue about what s under your hood, you re in good hands. The owner, Shali Dean, is honest, reliable, and constantly trying to save customers money. Shali, and his right hand man Ari, are miracle workers who know how to get any job done with minimal mental and monetary stress. Over the years I have used the garage for inspections, new tires, battery problems, and general maintenance issues. Every job, small or large, is completed quickly and professionally. Recently a rat nested in my motor and snacked on all the wiring. Shali guided me through the whole nauseating process and took care of everything. When I picked up the car it ran like new and had been given a thorough, and complimentary, interior and exterior cleaning. I have been using this garage for over 10 years, wouldn t go any place else, and highly recommend it for all your auto needs!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Battery, Oil change

I really love this place.The people are very friendly and trust worthy.... i put my car there after that I received an outrageous estimate from the dealer.The owner of the shop was very nice from the beginning they put my car on the lift right away and check the car for me.After about two hours they call me with an estimate for the repair work and let me tell you that it was less than half of what the dealer wanted to charge me.....!!!!Im really happy with the work they did on my car and on top of that they gave me the car back nice and clean after hand wash.Thank you for your great service I definitely recommend this place for your next repair.

I had a great experience here today. I called for an oil change before traveling tomorrow. Charlie squeezed me in and upon arrival I remembered one of the dash alerts was on, and my battery needed replacing. Charlie took it in stride and did the oil change, battery replacement, and did what needed to be done to address the dash alert. A half hour later I was on my way home. Will definitely be back for general maintenance and repair.

After pushing my luck on an icy snow-plow mound, I started noticing a strange noise coming from brakes and began to worry that I seriously damaged my car. This happened to occur the day of a long road trip, and so I didn't want to leave it unchecked before departing.I called West Village Auto in the morning asking if there was any availability, and the owner told me to come straight over so he can check it out. He instantly knew what the problem was as soon as I described the situation, and graciously him and another mechanic simply cleaned my brakes and readjusted a splash guard near the tire (the source of the noise).Not only did they squeeze me in during a very busy day before holidays, but they were incredibly welcoming, informative, kind, and efficient. I had a lovely conversation with the owner and was touched by his generosity.Bring your car here. It's a great shop with great people.Service: General repairs & maintenance

A fantastic shop. Finished the job earlier than estimated (which would already have been a quick turnaround), provided extra services (cleaning, fluid top off, and others) free of charge, and were exceptionally communicative throughout the process. Service was very friendly and the work done on my breaks was excellent! They even found me a good parking spot that I could leave my car in and gave me a two year warranty on labor and parts. I will absolutely be returning and recommend to anyone who needs work done on their vehicle.

I have been going to West Village Auto Repair for years. In a city like Manhattan, its hard to find people that you can truly trust. I trust these guys 100%. I have a Jeep Wrangler and have had minor and major work completed here, its been great knowing that every time I pick up my Jeep its good to go! I highly recommend West Village Auto Repair for all of your vehicle repair needs. Thanks guys!

Limited knowledge staff, Cash Only business. Took my late-model vehicle in due to a flickering headlight. Eventually greeted and explained the issue. They were going to look into it, as well as perform some basic service. Later on in the day connected with the shop, they were unable to figure out the electrical issue, but basic service was done. When I spoke with the tech/mechanic at the shop, he told me "these are the wrong headlights" for this vehicle. Well... they were marked for the vehicle, so that would be news to the manufacturer. Went to settle up, they insisted Cash Only, receipts not available because computer broke down that very morning... so, I left my email address, followed up, but never did get that receipt. Nonetheless, at home I removed the headlight casing and instantaneously noticed a semi-clipped wire leading to the headlight. Soldered a new wire and have had no issue since. Coincidentally, caught up with a long-time user of this garage who swears by it.Service: Electrical repair
