Honest, reliable, and experts at what they do. Ed is the best and it s refreshing to see an honest mechanic. We moved from Queens to Nanuet last summer and Koesters has to be the best auto shop I ve had my car serviced at. Highly recommend them.

Eddy is an honest mechanic. He fixed the problem associated with check engine light. Then let me drive for 5 days BEFORE I paid to be certain the job was complete and not intermittent.

Top tier mechanics. Very straightforward and fairly priced. Appointments necessary so I recommend calling around 7 a.m. or as early as possible. Again, my first choice when I need work done on my.car.

42 reviews5.0 star rating10/27/2017Honest, Affordable, Reliable....I found this service station almost by mistake about a year ago. They are conveniently located near the Nanuet train station but I never noticed the garage on the corner until my vehicle started to overheat on the way to the train. I was a bit panicked because I didn't want to get stuck without a vehicle and since it was running hot and not starting properly I stopped in to see if I could make an appt for some time during the week. They fit me in the same day, allowed me to pay over the phone and pick up my vehicle after hours with no problem. I had no idea what was wrong with my vehicle and couldn't believe how honest they were in the repairs. I would recommend this place anytime. I used them again this past week, just like the first visit they fit me in and only did the repairs they said I really needed. The price is always fair and I think they do a great job! Thanks again Koester's!

Charlie is the best! The most honest mechanic I've ever dealt with before, very straight up, didn't waste my time, or run my pockets dry in an attempt to play me for the next foolish female that walked through the doors who bought their car in asking for help to figure out what was or wasn't wrong with it or if there was even anything wrong with the car at all to begin with even at all! He came very highly recommended through my bosses who told me how honest he was & that they've been using him for years, trusting him with everyone of their vehicles from day one! When I needed to have an honest mechanic speak to me like a human being & treat me the same way, after having had 2 other not very honest mechanics my family had trusted for years run my pockets completely dry blowing smoke up behind for close 2 3 weeks about why my car wouldn't pass inspection, I was about at the end of my rope with all I could take being treated like anything less than a paying customer like everyone else was properly treated, I asked my bosses if they knew of anyone trustworthy to so much as just explain the problem to me causing my issue not to be able to pass inspection & down to my last few days on my temporary 10 day inspection after having been failed twice, once without being told, the 2nd without the car being up or having asked to have been inspected. They sent me Charlie's #, spoke to him a little after 8am that morning & he fit me in to checkout the car that same morning in between his already packed schedule & even had the explanation for me that afternoon, offering to take my car back in again that following Monday morning again to attempt to clear the issue it had for the inspection to clear the next day before it was past the 10 day temporary expiration & inhadbno legitimate inspection after that. When I called him that Monday morning with the newest issue I was having before heading down there for no reason, risking not being able to get back outta there due to the newest issue I had seemed to be having, Charlie was very straight up with me & told me the problem it sounded like I was having was something he just didn't have the means to do & he didn't wanna waste my time or money taking it to him or towing it to him for it to not be able to be fixed there due to the complexity of the problem that they didn't handle in their shop. Thankfully it wasn't what we thought it might be at all & the car was actually in between its cycles needed to clear the inspection causing the issues it was having, it just ran through the cycle needed & the issue went away, making the computer read the cars inspection finally able to be done to pass. Had it not been for Charlie & his honesty, who knows what would've been the end result, probably looking for a new car still as we speak even & having had to have taken the car off the road at this point for failing inspection without the ability to be able to pass at all in the end! I HIGHLYYYYYY RECOMMEND USING KOESTER'S & DEFINITELYYYY ASK FOR CHARLIE, HE WON'T DO YOU WRONG!! Couldn't have asked for any better an experience than this!!

Can't reccomend this place enough. Professional and courteous. I've been taking my beater of a car there for a few years now and every time I get her back she is like a new car. If you need anything done please go here! Reliable, fair and just all around great auto shop!

I have been going to Koestes since 1993. He has always been the most honest, responsive and knowledgeable auto mechanic that I have ever known. I highly recomend him for all autu repairs.
