Great service!!! The guys were very knowledgeable Replace the Intake Manifold Air Duct on my Volkswagen Tiguan .. Car droving Smooth and now i am able to take my car to Inspection this Monday for a renewal sticker

Knowledgeable, honest and reasonably priced. Pete and team have done everything from routine maintenance to rebuilding the head of my 2011 VW GTI s engine over the past 5 years. I purchased a Mercedes from a authorized dealer much farther away. I needed to make sure my tires and brakes were serviced for the winter, but I was surprised how high my dealership quoted me compared to A-1 which I googled to find out they were only 10 minutes from me so I decided to check them out. Not only did they crush the dealership's price, but their service was top notched and family friendly. Now I have found my new spot to go in the future. Pete has bailed me out twice now when my Mini Countryman broke. Finding a mechanic you can trust that has the equipment and know how to fix any car these days is hard at best, but these guys really know what they are doing. Their prices are more than reasonable and the turnaround time is super fast. If you want dealer quality service without the dealer prices and nonsense this is the shop for you. I highly recommend giving them a try if you haven t already.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Count me as one relieved and happy customer - the reviews that precede mine notwithstanding. Peter troubleshooted oil pressure warning red lamp on the dash to a missing oil pressure adapter inside the oil pump in my VW Tiguan. This was something that eluded the dealer's well trained staff for 4 full days. The oil pressure warning occurred after I had the intake manifold replaced by the dealer. The solution offered by the dealer: you need a new engine! Peter is a rare breed: they don't make many like him anymore.

Peter's honesty and integrity can only be matched by the high quality of work that was performed on my car. He took the time to explain the repair(s) he and his very skilled mechanics made on the vehicle.If you are looking for a no nonsense mechanic shop this is the place.I highly recommend A-1 German Car Service. Been taking my car BMW X5 here for the past 3 years. Each time the work is done on time and at a great rate. I've always been told what the issue was prior to any work being done. Also what cost would be. Even brought in an Audi I considered purchasing and they ran diagnostic on it at no cost. I definitely appreciate the service and fair pricing.

Pete wasted no time in getting my Audi A6 in for service to have the rear wheel bearings replaced. The thing that struck me was the knowledge and attention to detail they demonstrated. I've used Pete (A1 German Car Service) for about 25 years now and can honestly say that, there is no one better, more honest or willing to put in the work to get your car repaired at a fair price. When I moved initially and had to get a mechanic for a few years it was painful but getting back to NJ and to his shop has made my car worries all subside. Definately a mechanic your family should use.

I found Pete from a guy in a quick check parking lot in So. Plainfield raving about how amazingly wonderful he is and he was right !!!!! There is no other Mercedes mechanic in state of New Jersey that I would bring my car to and I'm from Florida and he took such great care of my ML350 . His wife is fun to hang out with as he takes your car on a test drive.

I went to this place, to get price on a oil pan for my Audee and the guy inside the shop was so rude to me that I just walked away. You might have a 5 star rating but probably from family members. Rude

A week ago i took my Mercedes their to get mechanic work their and they replaces parts that didnt even need fixing dont take your car their and the owner their pete is the nastiest person to deal with
