I have been working on my own rovers for around 3 years now, and decided to take one of my recent projects here to get checked up on after I did some work. Keep in mind, I live all the way in Berkeley Springs, WV, but I had been chatting with one of the reps, Geoffery, online for maybe a year on and off, and decided this last week to make an appointment.Never have I ever wanted to live back in Montgomery County more. I wish I lived closer to this place because the staff was incredibly knowledgeable, fun, friendly, and helpful. I went in for a simple inspection and got the most honest run down of my vehicle I have come across in ages. They told me exactly what could be left alone and what should get work done when in reality, they could have pushed me to have work done. At the end of the day, these guys are awesome and can be trusted with your rover. The shop was immaculate and one of the best looking independent shops I've seen hands down.

Have been bringing my Range Rover to Independent for over a decade. They are always professional, timely, helpful and HONEST! I never trusted my car to any other shop. They are the best!

I had my Lr3 brought to this establishment for repairs to get it back on the road. They began charging me for storage almost immediately after providing a proposal for the work. I didn t even have a moment to evaluate their proposal and come back to them. After that they required a deposit of 50%, this was a first for me. The icing on the cake was that my vehicle was totaled while in their care and they expected to be paid for the entirety of the bill without providing any proof that the work had been completed. Your mileage may vary with this group but I d suggest that buyer beware. The nightmare continues with this company and their insurance company Erie but that story is for another day. CAUTION.Reply received, thank you. We will have to agree to disagree. I stand behind my previous review.

We have a Range Rover Classic that's been in our family for over 20 Years. The original factory Exhaust finally decided to end its life. The guys at Independent replaced it with an awesome Stainless Steel Magnaflow Exhaust. It sounds amazing and should last forever. They also found that the original Motor mounts were well past their prime and replaced those. I don't trust to many folks to work on my RRC. They did a great job in a very reasonable amount of time. We plan on keeping the vehicle forever and will pass it down to our children. Theyll be taking it to Independent if they have a problem!

the worst experience I've had at possibly any business after having stolen $5000 of my dollars only to leave my D90 in worse condition than when I dropped it off. the absolute incompetence was mind blowing - after "repairing" it, they clearly didn't even drive it more than 5' since it was not even drivable to the first stop light. the second time put me in an impossible situation after promising they'd have it ready for a business trip. refused to refund my money despite misdiagnosing over and over with no resolution. I would gladly sue if I had any free time. I'm disgusted this place is still in business frankly which speaks to the dearth of land rover repair in the DMV far more than the quality of this den of thieves.UPDATE: and in classic ILR fashion, I responded to Dean's request below and received no reply. lots of promises made by the owner, and just as many promises broken. ILR would do well to spend more time Doing the right thing rather than just Saying the right thing.

These guys are the best for Range Rover EVERYTHING! They took my dream car and made it better than I could ve ever imagined. They had the best price with the best record for service on Land Rover/Range Rover vehicles. The communication is on point, the service is prompt and thorough and the price is better than the dealership and they are detail oriented about everything. Highly recommended they took care of me and my P38 like it was their own. Don t hesitate to contact them. You will always win with Indie!!

Land Rover owners should accept no substitute. I ve taken my D-90 to 3 or 4 other places and none of them provide the service or expertise that Independent provides. They are a small/medium operation and getting in can take days or weeks, but if you want your vehicle repaired correctly, what are you gonna do?

My vehicle had cum shaft out of time error code. My vehicle is low mileage and well maintained. I already informed and show him the code diagnosed and right after I dropped it if in about 30 minutes, I received a call saying that your vehicle engine needs to be replaced that will cost of around $17,000 however I took to the dealer and they were shocked. They fixed it around $4,000 with two years warranty. I don't recommend there service. It is a high way rubbery.

They fit me into a tight window do to travel needs. I really appreciate that. They also made it possible to pickup late and pay over the phone. Car riding nice so far. I'll be back in the future, but hopefully not near future. Lol

I think these guys are definitely the best in the area. I also tried out British 4x4 in Virginia and did not like them at all. British 4x4 was pricier than Independent on most things on my Range Sport and the professionalism and service of Independent is a cut above.

We have been using Independent Land Rover for years for our 2008 Range Rover HSE and they are great to work with and have very reasonable prices! I am now on my fourth year working with Independent. They are fair, explain the work and do not pressure you to undertake any work. I started with oil changes. They just replaced my brakes I plan to continue to rely on their service.

10 year customer with Independent. I consider the owner a friend. They've come a long way since their inception 10 years ago. They have an impressive following and are considered by many to be the best Land Rover Independent shop in the Washington, DC area, with factory trained technicians.

Trust your Land Rover to Independent! Dean took excellent care of my Land Rover 110. He was thorough, punctual, and stayed in contact with me to let me know the status of the work. His familiarity with the vehicle put me at ease, the quality of work left me more than satisfied, and his prices were extremely reasonable. If I had not left the area, I would have entrusted my vehicle only to the care of Dean and his team.

Had rear breaks replaced on a '14 Range Rover Supercharged and saved over $400 from what the dealer wanted. Still used OEM parts. On-time and great service by Andre! Will be back when the front's need replacing in a few months.
