Amazing shop! The mechanics were able to make a difficult diagnosis and fix quickly. Wendy at the front is absolutely lovey! She took the time to answer all my questions and was so pleasant! She explained everything thoroughly and even a brought out the part to show me visually. I usually get belittled at shops when I tell them I do most of my repairs myself, that was not the case here! I felt very comfortable talking about what my options were for fixing, and they were transparent about their costs. Thanks again! Will definitely be back!

I have had my car serviced at Morin's for several years. They are good at diagnostics and provide quality repair. Most importantly I trust them.

Brought my truck here for a second opinion. They verified the issues, but couldn't work on my truck because it's a diesel (they don't have the tools for diesel engines) and also has a fuel leak. They recommended another place that specifically works on diesel trucks. They did not charge me a penny for diagnostics and were very easy to work with.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

These guys are just great. One of my technicians had some starting issues so they got the vehicle towed within a couple of hours. They promised to look at it the following Tuesday which they did. It was what they thought, the starter motor and the works was taken care of at a good price. Totally recommend them if you are in the Lewiston-Auburn areaService: Auto maintenance

I went here because I'm new to the area and the reviews seemed to be good. What a mistake!I told them that I needed a new wheel bearing. They told me I did not. They did however find several other problems including my drive shaft that needed replaced totalling $1200. So here I am, a few weeks later at VIP Tires, getting my front wheel bearing replaced. These people are a joke. Don't make the same mistake that I made.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I hadn t even brought my car in, but I called with lots of questions asking for advice buying a car wholesale as is at a dealership down the way and the woman I talked to was very helpful. She talked me through my options, pricing for getting it inspected and for any work that might need to get done if the dealership sold it to me needing work.I wish I lived in the area because I would for sure go to them with how kind and helpful they were, even knowing I wasn t even a paying customer yet!

I have been going to Morin's for over a year and have yet to have a negative experience. Both Mike and Wendy are very knowledgable when I call with problems. They give estimates for repairs prior to service and have yet to charge more than the quoted price. I came in this morning without an appointment. Mike was able to not only squeeze me in to look at it, but also able to replace my alternator.

We have been customers at Mike Morin's 15 years. They are completely honest and reliable, and always fix our vehicles right the first time. They never, never push you to make repairs you don't want / need, and they are always accurate in their assessments of what's wrong and what your options are. Most importantly, my wife -- who knows not much about cars -- feels completely comfortable dealing with Morin's staff, especially Mike & Wendy at the front desk who know everything about vehicles but understand that you may not.I can't tell you how many times they have helped us out of a jam, whether through a shuttle ride to work, tracking down a hard-to-find part, getting us in on short notice in an emergency, or whatever.If you are looking for quality repairs from 100% honest mechanics and all-around nice people, Mike Morin's is the place!

My son goes to Bates. His Jeep started steaming due to a lost radiator clamp. Wendy at Mike Morin's was an absolute pro. She helped get that clamp replaced and even recommend that we swap out a couple of pulleys to ensure it was smooth sailing for the long road trip home.Trustworthy. Straight shooter. Empathetic/Caring. Professional.Wendy and Mike Morin's had us covered and provided us with supreme confidence. Thank you.Apparently the good word about Mike Morin's is already out at Bates. Students and faculty are regulars. And Mike Morin's is keeping it in the family---as his grandson was solid baseball player Bates a few years back. Go Cats! And thanks again Mike Morin's.Service: General repairs & maintenance

A great mechanic shop! Mike & Wendy help me keep myself & my family in a safe car, while understanding that we're on a budget and don't need the most expensive parts. Always honest and forthright with us. Our kids like the donut holes and coffee (hot chocolate for them) in the waiting room. :}

Left a 3 ft (yes 3 foot) crow bar under my hood and text me after I had been driving around town to see if I would check if was under there. Could have ended ugly for me so I guess I was happy they remembered it might be where they left it. Next day was a snow storm and I had mini vans passing me in my jeep wrangler as I was all over the road. Almost went into a ditch and got stuck on a hill backwards trying to get home had to leave my jeep overnight. Why? Because they left my 4 wheel drive disabled! Won't be going back.....

I really didn't want to go to prompto, or something along those lines as the employees are usually low rate mechanics (don't know much). So after hearing about Mike's through the grapevine I looked online and saw decent reviews so I went. Had a scheduled apt for an oil change at 1pm, got there at about 12:58. They didn't take the car until 1:20, and it took until about 1:50 to get it back. They over filled the oil by a quart, I know it doesn't seem like a big deal, however it can harm your engine, and I'm financing this vehicle so I'd like it to last. I've been to places in the past like sammys in windham, and I always have to check it and make sure. I don't like when plugs don't get put back in tightly or filters are reused, was just kind of not what I was expecting. They couldn't figure out how to reset my oil life either in the dashboard computer (2014 Kia Optima) once again, not a big deal at all. Just kind of shocked by the carelessness. Anyways customer service was good. The mechanics tried to come out and reset it, I was running late so they told me to come back later but it didn't really matter. They offered munchkins and coffee and drinks and had a neat little waiting room. 85 an hour is a good rate. Can't say I'll be going back though, that oil change took way to long and I have a more trustworthy mechanic who I would bring to for anything else.

Full disclosure : I'm a mechanic for a trucking outfit. If there's one thing I hate, it's fixing my own stuff on my time. Without my own tools at home, or a shop to use them in, , I decided to shop around for a place that wasn't a village of shade tree pirates to fix my ride. After speaking personally with previous customers of several garages, the one that stood out was Morins. I took the chance, dropped my ride off, and spent the night sobbing, hoping I did the right thing. Lo and behold ! I received several updates from the owner himself, giving me every detail of how things were going. At the close of the day, I picked up my truck, with his new wheel bearings in all four wheels, and so help me, it was like driving a new truck. The cost was reasonable, the work was right the first time, but what has me hooked was the outstanding service from the top to bottom. I made the right decision and saved myself a boatload of headaches. I will definitely recommend Morins garage to anyone with a reasonable repair to be done. Thank you for the help, Mike.

Excellent service and super friendly staff. They took time to fully explain what was wrong with my vehicle without ever coming off as greedy/sketchy. Will definitely go to them as long as I live in the area!

Excellent service, polite and courteous staff. Today was my first time at Morin's because my car broke down and I can guarantee that I will be back many many times. The shuttle is awesome and convenient!

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Also, it appears that many of the 5 star ratings for this business are from people who DON'T describe their experiences in any detail and say very similar things along the lines of, "so reliable and honest/I never take my car anywhere else" without stating real facts about supposed work done. Note how on their facebook page, everyone that gives this place a 1 star goes into detail about their visit and specific work done/pricing.I took my vehicle in this weekend to have a tie rod replaced and a state vehicle inspection. I was originally quoted $220-$230 for the tie rod replacement and $12.50 for the inspection (both of these things are standard price so I was initially happy to bring my vehicle here). Over an hour after leaving my car, I receive a call from Mike claiming that my vehicle is leaking fuel and the smell of gasoline is very strong. They also tell me my rear break lines are gone and my rear break rotors are rusted. I am then told that the fuel lines would need to be made by hand due to the age of my vehicle and that the total cost to repair both the fuel lines and the rear brake lines/rotors would be $1800.I call autozone and am told all the parts needed for these two repairs (fuel lines, brake hoses/brake lines, and 2 rear brake rotors) together cost less than $105.00. So, obviously $1800 and is a ridiculous quote, there's no way repairing those two things is worth $1700 in labor. I call Morin's back and tell them to just do the original work I brought the vehicle in for (the tie rod) and they say okay. I then get a call ANOTHER hour later and am told by a rapidly speaking employee (who doesn't give me a chance to say anything) that they can't replace my tie rod because they would need to use a blow torch and the smell of leaking fuel is 'so strong' that they don't think it would be safe to do. I end up picking up my vehicle 3+ hours after dropping it off to have had absolutely nothing done AND my sticker has been half scraped off by these people.Upon checking out (as I only had to pay for the inspection) the woman at the desk reiterates how bad my car smelled of fuel and what rough shape it's in, telling me that she "doesn't think it's safe to drive". Yet, the ENTIRE time she speaks to me, she has her eyes COMPLETELY closed. She literally does not make eye contact with me the entire time she's rambling on about the poor condition of my vehicle. Which, is extremely weird and strikes me as suspicious/dishonest behavior.So, within an hour after leaving Morin's, I took my car to VIP (a corporate regulated company mind you) for a second opinion. VIP's mechanics COULDN'T FIND ANY TRACE of a fuel leak. They DID find that someone had spliced and inserted a hose on a portion of my fuel line, HOWEVER, they said the fix was holding up and saw ABSOLUTELY NO evidence of leaking, THEY COULDN'T EVEN SMELL ANY FUEL. One of the VIP mechanics outright told me Morin's was lying to me about the leak and was surely trying to take advantage of me/frighten me by refusing to replace my tie rod. VIP quoted me $420 to replace the hose with a standard fuel line and $365 to fix both my rear brakes, for a total of $785. A far cry from Mike Morin's $1800.These people are deceiving and will surely quote you something above and beyond what they initially tell you AFTER they get your car into their garage. Steer clear of this place and if you don't heed my advice and DO still decide to use them, ask for a quote BEFORE bringing your vehicle in. And should they call and give you some bs price after your car is with them, tell them to forget it, get another opinion and save yourself some misery.
