This CarStar team exceeded any expectation that I had. They repaired my vehicle after an accident and provided a better overview of the process, more information regarding the extent of the repairs, and maintained near-constant channels of communications throughout. Sierra outperformed my insurance agent and his staff. I highly recommend this business and this team.

2016 Golf GTIWould not recommend using this place, especially for insurances purposes . Overall professional tone, but the lack of care and blatant lethargic pace throughout my experience with them is something I regret.Additionally when they were unable to repair my car, they sloppily put it back together compared to how I brought it in. It's also immature to have shoved everything that was in my trunk underneath the panel above the spare while jamming that panel into it's slot. It almost feels like my car was violated the entire processService: Body & Trim

My daughter had a mishap with a drunk driver and we were in a real bind if we had to find another car. They worked with me to get all of the parts and worked with my insurance company to keep the car. All repairs were done when parts came in, which they had troubles with because of short supply. They listened to all of my concerns and went above and beyond to make things right. The car looked brand new and we have had no problems with it. I can't thank them enough for all of the hard work and communication they did for me. They definitely saved me a lot of money and time looking for a new car. I absolutely loved working with Matt, Lou, and Jeff. I will be back but hopefully not soon. :)Services: Painting, Electrical, Body & Trim, Welding

Absolute most unprofessional business I ve ever dealt with. Sierra Peabody has no idea what she was doing.I made an appointment for repair a month and a half ago, scheduled a day off work a month ago (because I have a very busy schedule between work and school). I drove 40 minutes to get to Carstar, dropped off my vehicle when they opened today for my scheduled appointment at 7:30am. I had no vehicle so I had my family member pick me up and sat at her house waiting for repairs to be done (they said it would take all day). At 1:52pm Sierra called me to tell me the windshield repair wouldn t be done because they didn t get the part in. I assumed the tail light repair was done, but no it wasn t either. She had no idea what I was talking about even though she was the one who had been handling my repairs the whole time.Instead of not letting me drop my car off this morning, giving me a call, or god forbid call me last night to reschedule, they let me sit and waste my entire day instead. Sierra said I left early Wednesday so I didn t get a chance to do anything. Oh my bad Sierra, wouldn t want to disrupt your life.Talk about poor business practices. Her manager Lou Baker was no better and didn t seem to care or even offer any sort of resolution for completely wasting my time and couldn t seem to understand why I would be so upset.So hey, if you want poor customer service and to be led on without repairs, go with Carstar in Ottawa! Jeff and Lou run a top-notch business. We've taken multiple cars to them over the years, and I can honestly say the quality of repair could not be better. They do amazing work, very reasonably priced (we checked around), super speedy as well! Very polite, professional, well-run place. Highly recommend them!

This is the second time I've used Carstar and they do fantastic work. Matt kept me informed on the status of the repair and is very professional. When I picked my truck up I couldn't tell there had been any damage at all. Took great care of me and my car! The staff was so incredibly helpful and nice. They did a great job from start to finish keeping me up to date on where they were at with the repairs to my car and when I could pick it up. They even cleaned the car inside and out for me. So she looked all shiny and new when I got her back. I'm very pleased with the work they did. Hopefully I won't be needing repairs again, but if I do, I will definitely be taking my car back to CARSTAR!

I took my car to Carstar for a second opinion after another garage said it was totaled.When I got there, they spoke to me like I was a valued customer. They explained everything to me since i know nothing about cars. They even did the leg work with our insurance.They got it done quickly and gave me updates all along the way. They even detailed it for me, so it was beautiful inside and out when I got it back!I would recommend you take your vehicles here FIRST. They understand that wrecking a car is traumatic enough, so they take all the stress and anxiety out of the insurance process.Thanks Lou and Jeff, hopefully I'm only back for tune ups from here on out!Service: Body & Trim

I didnt expect such quick service. They had my car in and out and accomadated to my crazy schedule without any hiccups. When I got there to get my car I didnt even recognize it! My car had some rodent damage and had an awful smell. I worked with Matt, a representative from Carstar in Ottawa, Kansas. He was very kind and helpful. I was embarrassed but he helped to set me at ease. Carstar had my car from May 23rd to June 10th. It was very clean when I got it back like I had just drove it off the showroom floor. All evidence of those creepy rodents was gone & I felt safe to drive my car again. Thank you Matt & Carstar for your professionalism. We have used Jeff and his team for multiple repairs. We have always been very impressed with the quality of the body work this team puts in. The people are very polite and easy to work with. Each time they go beyond meeting our expectations. We will continue to use Jeff and his car star team for future repairs.

Had to bring the car in for repair after a deer decided to say hello without understanding the concept of personal space. Carstar was professional from the first phone call to the last. They kept us informed throughout the repair and exceeded our expectations with a beautifully finished product on what I would call a difficult color to match. Once again CARSTAR has done a wonderful job with getting us into a rental and having our family vechile back on the road! They always have wonderful customer service, have kept us in the loop every step of the way, and made sure our vechile was clean before returning it to us!If you ever need anything repaired, I highly recommend CARSTAR!! Not very happy with their service. Took longer than promised. Didn't live up to what they had said they would do. Would not use them again. Their estimate was higher than the insurance co. estimate but inasmuch as they were hometown I went ahead and used them, but won't make that mistake again. There are other repair shops. Just not a good experience.
