Edward is the best! We had brakes replaced and he allowed us to bring our own parts in so we only paid for labor. Not quite sure how common that is but it was a really wonderful perk. The quote he gave was incredibly reasonable! Once he began working on the car, a very minor issue popped up so he called us to explain and let us know why it may take a bit more time. When we went to pick up and check-in, Edward was teaching his son a few things and had him assisting with the work. It was endearing to see the family business dynamics and we were pleasantly surprised when the bill came and he didn t charge what we expected for time. I assume it s because he had his son helping. Edward was friendly, patient, knowledgeable and willing to explain anything I didn t understand! We recommend this service to all of our friends and family as they are a small local business. Customer service and work done was 10/10.

Edward was amazing. I called to see if he could fix my exhaust. He had me come in right away, gave me an estimate that was more than fair and did the work all in the same day. Thank you again Edward, it was great meeting you and I will definitely be back!!!

Edward did a very responsible check on my vehicle and spotted the oil leaking issue. He squeezed his working hours to give my vehicle an emergency inspection and offered the practical advice given I am traveling and helped monitor the car's condition (oil level). Edward patiently explained to me what happened to my vehicle and what needs to be fixed. The service is professional and responsible.

I will be telling everyone to go to him! Did my rear DRUM brakes for an extremely fair price. Everywhere else I called quoted me upwards of $600 and he got it done for half the price. And my brakes work better than they ever have. As a girl, going to a mechanic is stressful, but he was super nice and sent me updates about my car as he worked on it. It can be a little confusing if you don t know about cars but I liked knowing what was going on.

I was in a serious bind with a really bad exhaust issue. He was able to get me in right away on the day after Thanksgiving and had me fixed up. Awesome service and super reasonable price!

Took my car to get fixed thinking it was the catalytic converter bought the part went to drop it off and he tells me it s not the converter it was a flex pipe long story short he saved me 600-700 dollars just by being honest.authenticity goes along way in life general I would 100 percent recommend over any other mechanic in the area prices and work are the best in the area no doubt

We were 3 hours into a road trip when my car started making strange noises. We were on our way to see Beyonc� so I was naturally freaking out. Gave them a call and they took a look at my car late at night. Very clean, kind, and professional. His girlfriend was wonderful to talk to and he did a great job making sure my car was safe to drive. Got to the concert thanks to him. Cant recommend his services enough! So beyond grateful.

To be honest, I have to say excellent. We had a plow truck that died in the coldest temps of the year so far, he sent one of his guys out within 2 hours of the call on a busy busy day, unfortunately there was nothing he could do on site and it was unbelievably cold but we got the the tow truck out to bring the truck to their facility, they took care of it within a few hours and did an excellent job, very courteous, very friendly very professional.

A few months back my daughter drove home from college & said my car is making a noise. After I took it for a drive I knew it was brake related. The issue was who is open Sat/Sun to look at it & possibly have time to fix it? We happened to find My Mechanic Services. We talked to Edward & he was open & able to take it in Saturday afternoon. Edward started the repair but found that the rear brakes haven t functioned for the past three years. Long story, but in the end Edward did a superior job, was a great communicator, & has my daughters car running better than ever.Edward has now gained a new family of customers.

It s late Sunday morning, we re still almost 400 miles from home in Minnesota, and the battery light comes on. And the voltage meter on my old Chevy Express van is reading about 9 volts instead of the normal 12. Searched for repair shops in the area and didn t find any. Then searched the Quad Cities (about 70 minutes away) and found My Mechanic Services was open. Called them and talked to Edward who said he could look at it when we got there. So we went, praying the alternator wouldn t completely fail on the way. Made it, he was able to get the right part, and an employee was able to get it replaced within 45 minutes. SO Happy with this place!!! Very honest place, you won t be gouged. Highly recommended!Service: Electrical repair

I let my daughter's car sit for two weeks trying to decide if I should get it fixed or get a new car. Bad brakes, loud exhaust, rear lights out, loose steering wheel... After shopping the market (not good) I decided to get it fixed. I searched for a mechanic on FB and reached out to My Mechanic Services after reading the Great reviews. Now, I'm leaving a great review because I had a great experience. It's rare that you meet an honest person like Edward. First, he met me at the shop on a Sunday! ( impressive). He took time to show and explain to me what the issues were. Gave up front pricing. Provided an invoice that broke down the cost of parts and labor. Prices are very reasonable and he provides quick service. He seems to love what he does and likes to help people out. I would highly recommend.

My husband took his 2016 Chevy Traverse to My mechanic services. There were issues with the front end - a weird crunching noise from the wheels and the steering wheel was unstable. The mechanic was able to schedule an appointment same day and even on a Sunday! He quickly assessed that the tie rods needed to be replaced. He identified the parts that needed to be purchased and my husband and I went to the parts store and purchased them. The new parts were installed within a few hours. Unfortunately, the shop did not have the appropriate equipment to re-align the vehicle/tires once the tie rods were installed. But the mechanic was very honest about this and was adamant that he would make it right. (We did take the Traverse to a dealership the next day and get the alignment taken care of.) But the good news is the tie rods addressed the crunching noise and the steering wheel issues. And the mechanic at My mechanic services ended up refunding us for the labor costs to install the tie rods since he wasn't able to complete the job. Very much appreciate the honesty, communication and friendliness of this shop. Definitely would recommend.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

I was thrilled with their service. My '06 Odyssey would not start after stopping at rest area in Davenport, IA at ~10pm on a Saturday night. Had it towed there because they are the ONLY auto repair shop I found that is open on Sundays. They diagnosed a failed starter, found one in stock, and replaced it in just a few hours.Edward is a rarity - a kind, honest man who really enjoys helping fix his customer's cars. His $ was EXTREMELY reasonable, especially considering the limited repair options on a Sunday and my eagerness to get back on the road. 10 stars out of 5!Services: Electrical repair, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

They were great, both mechanics worked to get me in on short notice to evaluate a vehicle I was considering purchasing. They were incredibly thorough. They lifted the vehicle and walked me through all the issues and their potential cost. They provided pictures and commentary via their app/website link as well.Thank you!

My wife and I were traveling through Iowa on our way back home, when we had what turned out to be a miss fire on cylinder 2. This happened at 6:00 on a Friday night. We went to the parts store and got a coil and spark plug. 45 minutes later we were back on the road. Very professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. Thanks for getting us back on the road.

The muffler broke off of the pipe coming from the engine and it was a Sunday in Davenport Iowa. We would have been delayed until Monday we're it not for Edward. He was friendly, fast, and reasonable. He did an amazing job welding our muffler back on. We were in and out in just about an hour and on our way again. Go see Edward you won't be sorry!Service: Exhaust

This was an amazing experience. The price was cheap and the labor time was done in a timely fashion i appreciate how the service was handeled. After experiencing a sudden engine issue (on a long trip) just north of the Quad Cities, on a SUNDAY afternoon, we very fortunately happened upon Edward at My Mechanic Services. He skillfully diagnosed our water pump failure, immediately located the needed part and did the repair that evening (all on a Sunday night!). While we waited for a ride to a hotel, he even put on a children s movie for our kids (without us asking). After he repaired our engine and test drove the vehicle he delivered our car to our hotel!! He charged us his exact estimate, which was extremely reasonably priced. We d give 6 stars if able, not only for his workmanship, but also his kindness/thoughtfulness. My Mechanic is the epitome of the best of the best "Mom & Pop" owned auto mechanic shops!!!! Folks, it doesn't get any better than this! -"No thrills," "up front," "brass tacks," "in your face," "what you see is what you get," operation!!! Honest!!! Trustworthy!!! Hard working!!!
