First off I want to say that these guys are very friendly. But friendly doesn t always mean good work I suppose. This shop has really good reviews so maybe I just caught them on a bad day?My complaints aren t just because I m disgruntled, they are factual.-I was overcharged even though the numbers were present on the invoice at the time of the transaction for the mechanic (not by much, still concerning). I had to be back to work in a hurry so I don t look at the invoice until later on.-I was assured by the mechanic the issue was better. Nothing improved. I feel the repairs done were probably not even needed.-A simple mistake but the mechanic tried telling me my oil change was due. I just had it done 5 days prior. He said I was 219 miles away from needing the service according to the dash display in my vehicle and that the people who did the service did not reset the oil life. The 219 miles indicated my fuel range left until I am out of fuel He even went as far as telling me the oil looked worn down (trying to sell the service based on false information about the mileage).I feel taken advantage of.Again, kind people. But I spent ALOT of money for all of these mistakes to be made and issues not being resolved. I am a mechanic (heavy duty) and I do not make these kinds of mistakes/choices when dealing with customers.I normally do my own work on my vehicles. This was actually my first time EVER taking anything to a shop except for tires/exhaust work. It s my first new car and I figured it deserved to be taken to the shop. And I get burnt out on working on vehicles all day and then having to do my own when I get home. Needless to say, I ll stick to working on my own vehicles.

Was hearing a noise with my brakes. Gave them a call to schedule an appointment. Check in was quick and easy. They kept me informed every step of the way. When all was said and done a reasonable price was quoted for the work that needed to be done. Will definitely be returning if I have any more issues.

Out of all of the auto repair shops I have used in town, only Elstros has been fair, honest, and has done a good job on all my vehicles. I'm very happy with Elstros and will continue to use them.

Great experience overall, scheduled to have checked out for a couple of repairs, upon further inspection needed a bit more, they were able to fix within 2 hours. Great price as well!

Had a huge fluid leak causing my brakes to fail. Dropped my car off and Matt Elstro got me in as soon as his schedule opened up that week. I came here because of the good reviews and I was not disappointed. Best mechanic experience I ve had to date! Keep it up guys!

Elstro Auto is my preferred mechanic shop in Richmond. Matt Elstro is very knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to work on my Audi with no problems. Matt and his guys do very good work in a timely manner and are very professional. I recommend his shop to anyone I can.

Service was the exact same as they quoted me and was the lowest in town. They charged less for the part than anyone else was offering, did a good job replacing it, and had my car back to me the same afternoon. Would recommend.

Excellent people and excellent technicians. They won't try to sell you something you don't need, they diagnose the problem(s) give you options and YOU decide how to proceed with no pressure. Had my vehicle for extensive repairs and was surprised when I received a call on a Friday after closing that it was ready and they thought I might want it for the weekend so come and get it! Great prices too. My dad once told me that you can tell how much a mechanic cares by how clean the shop is. Well Elstros is super clean and that is reflected in their top notch service. I'm so impressed with them that I could write much more . I'll just finish by saying if you want top of the line customer service, repairs and prices, do yourself a favor and take your vehicle to Elstro's!Service: Engine repair

I bought my very first car on my own from them! They were amazing to deal with and I m glad I got to do this with them. Definitely recommend them if you are looking for a vehicle. They have their available vehicles online which makes it so much easier to try and decide what car you want. I definitely recommend them for buying a vehicle and car repairs!

Friendly, professional staff. Honest and trustworthy - Was told to replace several parts by someone else, ended up a bad battery. Communicated well with me and was excellent value. I am having service done on my vehicle today - again. It's a new problem - it seems one of my (older) vehicles develops a new problem at least once a month. And I need to keep them running.I am having the work done at Elstro Auto because Matt does great work, has reasonable rates, and always fixes the problem. He helps me keep all my vehicles in great running order.I've been coming here for more than 5 years. Matt is my mechanic of choice. Even when he is not the mechanic performing the service, I know that the work will be top notch and the parts will be high quality.I highly recommend Elstro Auto for all vehicle service needs.

The crew at Elstro is professional, efficient, and customer oriented. An outstanding job repairing the truck alternator that failed when passing through the area. I selected this shop based on the Google reviews, and they exceeded all expectations.

Even though I really don't enjoy paying for car repair and maintenance...shocker...this company is very forthright and easy to work with. If they see something that needs repaired they will take the time to write up an estimate on the bottom of the bill, as well as take the time to speak with the customer, and tell them what all they found and repaired!I would highly recommend this company to anyone who need either car repair/maintenance or to do just a simple car detail! All around great company to work with!
