My insurance directed me to Gerber after a collision with an iceberg that fell off a snowplow ahead of me. Icy roads and too much traffic to veer into the right lane, I had to try to minimize damage by catching only the front end of drivers side. I was left with some nasty damage to driver s side front end. From start to finish Gerber was very professional and attentive. My car was returned to me 8 days later, cleaner inside and out, than when I dropped it off. The work done looks great. I can t comment on prices as insurance handled that bit. I used the Gerber at 300 Washington Ave, La Grange, Illinois.

Gerber showed their commitment to excellent service to me and I really appreciate that! My car took much longer for repairs because the part was coming in wrong but they kept me posted and when it was finally ready, I went in to discover a sparkling, clean car, which I appreciated! This was my second time using Gerber and I would not hesitate to use them again.

Gerber Collision and Glass deserves zero stars. State Farm paid them more than $15K to complete repairs. They scratched paint, lost components, made a repair to my wheel well with bondo (look at the pics). loose trim, uncentered spoiler. Trunk is crooked."Hot mess"! State Farm says it's a "Total Loss". More than $12k to fix the mess they made. Leaks and puddles that was not diagnosed after five return visits.I took my car to Lexus certified small business owners, diagnosed and fixed same day. Even though I do not have great things to share about this specific location, like poor quality service all around and lack of communication and unprofessionalism, I would like to update my review about the company in whole. After 2 months, I have my vehicle back in my possession and I am very satisfied with the body work the Matteson location did. Aaron did a phenomenal job at communicating with me and correcting the issue. Thank you again.

They gave my car back with a dead battery. Paint is noticeable, pieces aren t fully attached where repairs took place. Car is very dirty inside. Filled with dust. And I have a new scratch on the other side of the car. Unfortunate experience

I love the customer service excellent work couldn't ask for anything better. And comes out and explains to you what they have done to it. If anything happens to mybig black truck I know it's in good hands when I take it back. I would recommend people to go there

Had my damage from accident repaired at this Gerber. Great job, looks brand new ,had over 10,000 in damage. Great work. The estimator Tyler Perry was very professional and courteous. The office person Lynette was also professional and courteous. I have used another Gerber location previously. I recommend your accident repairs here at the LaGrange IL. Location. The body repair and paint staff do excellent work. 9/2023 had an accident involving same side of my SUV , $11,000 in damage ..Barry and his staff did excellent work again! Looks brand new. Great overall experience, by far the best Gerber location .

They were fast and professional. Communicated well and finished the job early. Very happy with them and will use them again of needed in the future.I had an issue with my door handle and stopped by to make an appointment. Rick remembered me and said he would take a look and within 10 minutes my door handle was fixed and I was on my way. Rick is amazing and offers great customer service. Work on the car was good, customer services was very humiliated, a weird guy who helped me on the counter was sleeping in his office and came really rude because i woke him up, maybe was the owner, only because I had to leave the car to get it fix from the insurance company I went forward but really bad experience with this guy. Customer services is his problem, better to go flip burgers. I won t recommend this repair shop.Service: Body & Trim

Terrible service. Made appointment over the phone for an estimate, came here in scheduled time, they just told me they dont have me scheduled without trying to figure it out. Will never come back at Gerber.

I would not recommend using Gerber for their glass services. I had to schedule 3 appointments with them before they could replace my windshield. First time they came and said it needed to be a replacement not a repair so we need to order the glass, not their fault. Second time they came out with the glass and it was broken upon arrival. Rescheduled for a third time, they came out and replaced the windshield then drained my battery because fog lights were left on while they were working on the car. Took my car straight to the mechanic and had it diagnostic tested and I needed a new battery. When I asked them for compensation since I now needed to buy a new battery they would not agree to reimburse me for the battery. The battery on my car has never died before and it wasn t an issue until they drained it. It s a shame that my family has chosen this local business for over 15 years, aside from this incident they ve always done great quality work on our cars, I would ve hoped they would ve taken responsibility for the damages they caused, but unfortunately that was not the case here.

My car was brought to Gerber after a hit and run. A 2016 Honda Accord that had its front bumper knocked off. They charged my insurance over $5k to replace the front bumper (safety calibration, tire alignment) and kept my car over 5 weeks, always telling me it would be back in a couple days. They wouldn t return my phone calls, never gave me details, always blamed their third-party contractor. Do not use this company. Someone hit my door of my car and they handled things so fast and were very professional about everything. My car was taken apart and re painted in less than 24 hours! I would recommend their services to anyone looking to get some work done. They will take care of your car very well! Ivan is a great part of this business! I showed up in person and nobody would even take 5 minutes to look at the damage to the finish of my car. They were just too booked up according to the receptionist. She tried to get somebody a second time. I stood Outside the office to hear nothing but random office banter. Not critical. Nothing about cars. No one could take 5 minutes and just look at the finish of a car? I looked inside the shop and not much was going on. I get the impression they really don't have the people and couldn't care less if they had another project to do. I think it's just the new normal. I won't be back.

I can't know where to begin in compliments of great service. Job completed on schedule, even slightly ahead of schedule . Courtesy drive and pick me up to and from work. Car was totally detailed inside and out cleaner than ever! I would give 10 star review if they had it. They stand by their work too! Several months after my repair, I had heard a sound that I found odd in the general repair site. I was in the neighborhood and dropped in. They quickly took the car in and found it was a clip that had gone loose and they fixed it then and there gratis. Seriously, I don't want to have another tree fall on my car, but I will always recommend this La Grange facility!

Needed some body work done, someone hit my car while it was parked. Gerber took care of it expertly, the repair was finished faster than it was quoted and I can't tell there was ever damage done, highly recommend Gerber for repairs

We were in a rear end collision and the other driver s insurance (Mercury) sent us to Gerber Collision & Glass in La Grange, IL. The estimate only took about 20 minutes, and we were given an estimated date for pickup for the end of the same week. When they got the back taken apart, the damage was far more extensive than originally thought. Gerber contacted us with updates every 1-2 days. Toward the end, one of the subcontractors was slow, and we ended up without the car for another two days. Gerber kept us up to date and when we got the car back, I was happy with the work. Unfortunately, the rear view camera was apparently not secure, and when my husband opened the tailgate it fell out of place. He also noticed the bumper guard we had on the old bumper had not been replaced. We called and brought the car back in. I had it back within two hours!
