We went from California to Bonners Ferry Idaho. As we were leaving our truck 2500 Dodge Ram started heating up. Turns out the freeze plugs had failed. We had to replace the Whole engine. Sam gave us a pretty good estimate for the repairs and was Very helpful in explaining what he was going to do. He ordered all parts and kept us informed throughout the repairs. We were back in California by then. The price ended up being exactly what he had estimated.He drove the truck for one week to make sure my husband would not have any trouble on the way back towing our trailer. Could not ask for better service. Thank you Sam for helping us out. Highly recommend.Honest and a straight shooter.This happened in late August, we are now on our way to a new camping trip. If they treat their customers as well as they treated me when I got a flat tire right in front of their shop, they are a place you want to go! I got a flat, and pulled into their parking lot. They came over and asked if I needed anything. They brought over a floor jack, which was much faster than my bottle jack, and also aired up my spare. Great customer (and Non-customer) service. Good people at SOS.

Avoid this company completely. Such a waist of money. We had SOS fix a few different things on both of our vehicles and ended up having to take both vehicles to a different mechanic and have it fixed right. Make the drive to Sandpoint for a better mechanic.

The owner and his wife are super friendly! My husband and I just moved here and we have had such horrible experiences with mechanics in the past and were nervous to take our Chevy to anyone. Our neighbors told us about SOS and we now highly recommend them to everyone too!They did amazing and we will come to them from now on!

I took my truck to Sam to have some work done back in October, he did what he said he was gonna do when he said he was going to do it. I've called him on several occasions to get advice or ask questions about my truck and he's always been willing to help. He cares about his customers, it's hard to find these days, don't hesitate to contact him if you need some work done on your truck!

Sam and Rieta far exceeded my expectations. My folks are new to town and we needed a mechanic to look at an old tractor. Sam and Rieta went above and beyond in welcoming my folks and guided us through the process of getting the tractor up and running. Their mechanics are knowledgeable, hardworking and timely. On my way to Bonner's ferry idaho for thanksgiving week. My 2005 Ford F-350 began too lack power on the drive over. Called SOS to see if they could address my issue at very short notice. They were more than happy to help me with my problem. Would highly recommend this shop to anyone. Thanks again!

Amazing guy and good shop altogether. Sam is willing to help with just about any vehicle related question whether it's a diesel or gassed. It's clear he is passionate about the stuff and just wants to help others at a fair price.
