Dowdeys is the best experience I ve had with any automotive repair company. Scott and Ivan are honest, reliable, and great at communicating with their customers. Any business would be lucky to have team members like them. We repair 4 work trucks, all with higher mileage one them. And they take great care of our trucks.

Dowdy's was very professional and very easy to work with. Scott explained things well and Chris did an excellent work to get my truck back on the road. Chris' really helped explain the need for the additional part to make the repair worth doing.

We have had a lot of work done at Dowdy's. Their customer service is superb. Communication is outstanding. We have been very pleased with Dowdy's and will choose to go there for our future car issues. We had the power steering pump replaced, Timming Belt, and the and Tie rods replaced

Scott and Ivan were both extremely welcoming and polite, and even with a full shop, they were willing to take me in with no notice and great attitudes. Atmosphere is great, even being accompanied by Ollie, a napping shop dog, and Keith did a great job working on my truck with attention to detail and informing me of recommended services for next time. Highly recommend this shop for all your automotive service needs in the valley. 10 stars! Thanks guys!

My whole experience with them was great!! Super helpful and kind. Would highly recommend!! The online payment and details of what s going on with your car is amazing too, makes it super easy and helpful to understand what s going on and what you re paying for. Scott was fantastic!

I've never been treated so well at an auto repair place in all my life. Scott was incredibly kind and explained everything to me plainly. Everyone there is amazing and extremely efficient. 10/10 this is my new favorite repair shop :)

They ALWAYS take good care of us and all our vehicles. Even though they are closed on the weekends, when we have had an issue with one of our vehicles, their drop-off box has made the whole process pretty easy and they are always on top with either a text or call with an update on what's going on. At least with updates from them; the e-form that is sent with needed work, the name of the Tech, current work and pricing, etc. comes with pictures, measurements (if needed, such as with brakes), and the relevant information so you can make a competent and informed decision...always appreciated and takes a lot of the guess work out and some time consuming conversations can be kept to a minimum to let them work. Accept or decline any additional work, pay, etc. They (Scott and Ivan) are always friendly and informative, so thank you.

Ivan and Scott are just awesome to work with, and their communication and follow through was excellent. They tried everything to make sure my car was fixed right and that I was confident in their diagnosis and repairs. I am really glad I brought my car to their shop.

I usually take my truck to the Ford dealership when it has an issue and it sits there for a week before they do anything with it. I scheduled an apt with Dowdy s and had a diagnosis and digital estimate by end of the day. Scott also gave me extra insight into the particular issue with my truck that I appreciated. Would highly recommend!

I took my car to this place on a whim because I live across the street and my car broke down somewhat near it- I am so happy I took it here, they were so honest and upfront about my cars situation and engine. I will definitely be back. Scott and his crew were beyond kind and helpful. I will definitely be back. I recommend this place a thousand times.

I hadn't written a review, but because they responded, I'll do a short one.Brought my vehicle in last year for some noises it was making while turning and an overall diagnostic. I was given a list of all the things wrong with it, the price estimate, ect. One of the things marked wrong were my brakes. I had explained that was odd because I had just had the whole brake system replaced. The older gentleman was quite snippy and argued with me that I was incorrect. All to the point the other gentleman got uncomfortable and left. To jump many steps ahead, after taking it to a dealership and then to Christian Brothers for 2nd/3rd opinions, my brakes were perfect. I was given pictures from all places. There were other inconsistencies between Dowdys and place 2&3 in the diagnostic, as well. That is the reason for one star. Rude customer service and lying to me about issues with my vehicle. I highly recommend everyone spending spend a little extra money and get a second opinion. I know there are a lot of great reviews and if I hadn't just got my brakes done and become suspicious, I would have had them do the many thousands of dollars of work, and been non the wiser. May have even given them 5 stars.

I was visiting Boise on a trip from out of town and had a major breakdown. Timing couldn t have been worse due to it occurring on the week of Christmas and New Years. Dowdy s worked a miracle to get it done not only in time for my family to get home without us missing additional work, but to get coverage from my third-party warranty company. I am very grateful for taking my chances here.

Dowdy s in N Meridian is great. They service my truck and family cars. Brakes, shocks, oil, batteries, etc. Scott and team are very friendly and professional and highly responsive. Definitively recommend.

Brought in the dart because it was acting more like a paper airplane.Scott and his crew were able to get to it quickly and fix what I needed to get it back in motion. The best part?!!NO SURPRISES!They are one of those shops that actually tell you what they're going to do before they do it.Love it!! Thanks guys.

Wasn't pleased with my experience. Took my truck in because it wouldn't start. They couldn't figure it out. I was told to take it to the dealer. Didn't really give me a diagnosis.

While most will agree, auto repairs are very expensive.My truck was repaired as agreed to at the agreed to price.No hidden cost.No grease or trash left on steering wheel, foot-well or door handles. ( my usual gripe )This business seems to be one of the good ones in the area.This is how they earned my five star rating.

Dowdy s rocks! I ve been having issues with the electronic transfer case on my 2003 Silverado for a while now, so I stopped in and talked to Scott at the Elsinore Ave location last week and told him what was going on with the truck. He was able to get me scheduled right away. They had it diagnosed and fixed in no time at all, as well as a complete inspection of the truck, a detailed list of other random items that might need attention, and pictures of each item. Very thorough, very fast service, and great communication! This is my 2nd time dealing with these guys, and it definitely won t be the last. Wasn t sure what was going on with my SUV, it was running rough. Took it right over and left it at 8am. The mechanics found out what it was and after ordering the parts, had my vehicle back to me by 5pm.

When replacing a headlight, they found other issues and diagnosed the problems. Everything was repaired and they communicated all estimated costs clearly. Great customer service.

I found out that they are a very honest type business. I asked them to do a tire rotation and they said after looking at the depth of the tires that I didn't need one. I've found that other places would have done it anyway when in fact it didn't. Plan on having other services done with them and would encourage others to do so also.
