It was a fall day, and we were hundreds of miles from home. The air was crisp and the colors of the leaves delightful. We were headed for Big Sky with big dreams . That s when it happened. The front wheel of our camper van started to shake. We were out of cell service, and barely made it into town. The bearing was smoking, the wheel almost gone. That s when Joe Williams and The Repair Shop came to the rescue. We got towed to Island Park because they were the only ones available for miles. Joe squeezed us into a very busy day, and after going out of his way to help us, we were on our on way in no time at all. He worked some miraculous magic and repaired a total mess of a situation, and for a great deal. We drove 11 hours home the next day, not a rattle or squeak in sight, not a whiff of smoke to boot. Home at last we sat down to write a well deserved review. The Repair Shop is a magical business, and its owner is nothing short of a wizard. Thank you, Joe Williams. They fixed me up good and the price was reasonable. I had a slashed tire, and no A/C. They fixed .e within an hour of arrival on a Thursday afternoon. Scott was very helpful!!

I was a thousand miles from home, it was on my 34th wedding anniversary when my truck started running bad, it went to half power and started running rough on a Saturday, it was not a good experience. On Sunday I saw this garage called the Repair Shop in Island Park, ID. On Monday morning I was on their doorstep at 8:15 and was greeted by Scott, I told him all that had happened and he took the keys gave them to Joe, he took the truck into the shop and ran the codes. He explained the codes to me and stated that because it was a diesel I would need to take it to a dealer to get it fixed. He also played a six minute U tube clip with a complete explanation of the issues with my truck. Thirty minutes later I was on the road to a dealer and they were able to fix it. They were so nice, honest and knowledgeable and they wouldn t take a penny for all the advice. This is the real deal!!

I was in West Yellowstone with a simple car fix needed. I called multiple dealership service centers up to 80 miles away. No one would accommodate us. They couldn t even see us for 2 weeks. I called the Repair Shop and Scott was able to immediately see us and perform the REGEN on our Chevy diesel.We greatly appreciated their excellent service and hospitality. I highly recommend this business.

Great repair shop! We had an issue where the part needed to be replaced but I couldn't wait for the order to come in and it wasn't a critical issue. They took time to show me how to fix it myself and even put some air in a low tire at a very reasonable cost. Great folks! I felt very taken care of and would go back anytime!

Our truck was having issues and we need to leave for Oregon the next day. A 700 mile trip hauling a trailer. The D&D in Ennis wouldn't see the truck. I called these guys at 11 30 and they would see us. Got there at the end of their lunch time, they moved a vehicle out to see us. Hayden was awesome, they found the problem and did a quick temporary fix with zip ties that got us home and into our repair shop. Very knowledgeable and friendlyThey did a fantastic job.Told others in camp how wonderful they are.Very reasonable fees.

Yesterday Joe helped us out when our brand new radiator overheated due to the prior mechanic not completing the job. We were in the middle of nowhere and Joe carefully and methodically diagnosed the problem and got a giant air bubble to burp out of the radiator and sent us on our merry way. Joe has had this shop for 34 years and it is rare to meet someone with so much expertise in the field. He treated us with so much reassurance and care. Thanks Joe!

I am so happy! After waiting for 2 frustrating months to get a part from the dealership in Idaho falls, we decided to take our class B RV to The repair shop in island park. Joe had the problem diagnosed and fixed in 2 hours! Joe and Scott are as knowledgeable as they come and their work is top notch! Thanks you guys! We highly recommend the repair shop in IP! 5 stars!!!

Went in on the last day of my vacation due to a weird smell and popping in brakes. Diagnosed the problem in about 10 minutes, Scott showed me the issue and had me out of the shop in about an hour and a half. Top notch work, fair price, and saw me immediately. This place was absolutely amazing, highly recommend!

Amazing! We were so worried about getting our tire fixed since it was Memorial Day and we were driving down from Yellowstone on a spare tire. Everything in West Yellowstone was closed! (Business idea for anyone lol). They took the car and fixed the tire within 20 minutes and were extremely reasonable in price. We were so happy and relieved!

Joe saved us!! Broke an axle on our 5th wheel and even when he didn't have the parts, he found some in Idaho Falls and we went and got them and he fixed us up!! We were 6 hours late getting home but we made it safe and sound!!

Passing through and had a brake problem. Walked in at 8am and they had the car diagnosed, parts ordered, installed and back on the road before 10am. Absolutely incredible. Installed quality parts, professional attitude, honest rates. Couldn't be more satisfied with a automotive shop.

We drove out to Yellowstone from Seattle, and on day 2 of the trip, the splashguard on my Prius started to drag against the tire and ground. Even though I did some taping and zip-tying on my own, and had some extra help from another person on the way, I was not at all confident that it was going to make it another week as we drove around Yellowstone and then back to Seattle.Joe was amazing. He was able to fit us into the schedule the same day and at a convenient time. He put the car up so we could all see what was going on. He and I discussed the issues and options, and then he did some creative work with his zip ties, darts, and new drill holes. The fix was quick and the final bill was shockingly inexpensive.I feel confident about finishing our road trip, and am so grateful for his time and expertise!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Our daughter's car's check engine light came on while we were vacationing 1200 miles from home! Hayden at the Repair Shop diagnosed the problem and got her up and going very quickly. He was so kind, and he respectfully spoke to her and did not treat her like many mechanics treat a young woman. He was very knowledgeable. Our car started making noise on the way to Island Park from Utah. By the time we got there it was sounding really bad. The team at The Repair Shop, quickly diagnosed the problem, which was a worn wheel bearing, but they didn't have the parts. When the parts were available, they came in over Labor Day to get us up and going. The shop is clean. The team is courteous and professional. The diagnosis was spot on. The workmanship was great. I had a no start issue on my truck. As a full time RV'r , I would be stranded without the truck. To make matters worse it is Labor Day. I figured I would be stuck with nobody open. Then I called Joe.Not only were they open but Joe personally came to my campsite to diagnose the starting issue. After quick diagnosis and getting the truck started he told me to drive to his shop about 10 miles away while he went to West Yellowstone to get a new starter.When I arrived at his shop he had already communicated with his crew and they had the truck on the lift removing my bad starter within minutes. He returned with the part and they had the job complete in under an hour.Everyone I dealt with there were friendly and professional. They even worked into their lunch hour to finish up and get me back on the road. What an excellent experience. Really huge thanks to Joe for helping us out last night after hitting a moose. Not only did he tow my totaled car away after 10pm, he also gave us a ride so that we could get picked up by someone we knew later and get home that night. Really nice guy, very professional. Would definitely recommend his services to others and that was just the towing. I went back the next day to collect my belongings from my totaled car and brought some new tires I had for my truck just incase they had some time to install them. Joe got me in right away and the price was very reasonable. $80 for the whole job. If you need a tow or vehicle work talk to these guys. Thanks again.

Joe is a life-saver! We were stranded at Henry s Lake and AAA could not find anyone to tow us, Joe took the liberty of towing us all the way back to his shop (about 25 miles). He only charged for 30 min of labor. He gave us a ride back and he had his crew waiting for us when we got to the shop to fix the car immediately. We were halfway through a 2 week long road trip when the car wouldn t start and Joe helped us get back on the road within an hour. Great service and very professional!Service: Electrical repair

When my check engine light came on, I was concerned, but when my car started to shudder/jerk/suddenly turn itself off while I was driving, I was panicked. Enter Joe and his amazing team at The Repair Shop. They diagnosed the problem, found the right part and fit me in to an already busy schedule for repairs. I was able to drive home (400 miles away) feeling like I would be safe on the road and the issue had been resolved as best as was possible.I would definitely feel comfortable recommending this place to anyone who is having mechanical issues in Island Park, and tell you that you are in good hands with Joe and his team.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

100% would recommend the guys at the Repair Shop! On vacation with my husband when our water pump on our diesel truck went out. Went down to the shop right before they closed, needed to wait to get the part till next morning. we didn t have a ride home so Scott from the shop gave us a ride. Shop called about 10am next morning and our truck was all ready to go! For a hell of a price as well! Back at our vacation like nothing ever happened!Service: General repairs & maintenance

We had a great experience with the Repair Shop. We were traveling, towing an RV, when we got a flat. They told us to come on in and they'd take care of it right away. They found a knife tip in the tire, removed and repaired it. $20 and we were on our way!Service: TiresService: Tires

Joe and his staff are amazing. They treated us like family on just hours notice and had our vehicle in and out on the same day. We were traveling through on a road trip and The Repair Shop made sure that we were back on the road. Joe, Carrie, Veronica and Scott all did a fantastic job and went above and beyond to accommodate us.There is also a shop dog, Dixie, who is a very good girl. 11/10 good dog, would pet again.

We were traveling and staying in Island Park, MT when the traction light on our 2006 Hummer came on and we were concerned because we were a long way from home.We wanted someone to check it out and make sure we could continue on our trip safely.Joe Williams, owner of the Repair Shop,and his employees, were recommended by the Valley View campground where we were staying.We found Joe and his staff to be most helpful, very professional and most reasonably priced.If we are ever in this and need repair we will definitely go back.Services: Transmission, Electrical repair, Electrical

I was on Vacation when our Check engine light came on and the engine was misfiring. I was pretty sure I knew what it was but didn't have any tools and so I found the Repair Shop and checked then out on Google. They had great reviews and so I thought I would give them a try. They were great! No BS the checked the codes, and scheduled me for the next day to repair, fixed the problem and were done before they said they would be.
