CPR owner Joel saved our butts. We got an 85 school bus in NC that broke down halfway home to Athens, GA and Joel was able to diagnose it, find us an otherwise impossible to find part, and fix it on the spot (a parking lot). The only shop around that could take a bus quoted months long turnaround and 5K; and the quotes for just towing it home were all at least 1K. Joel and his team got it up and running like a kitten in 8 hours and the pricing was straightforward, honest, and fair (& a fraction of the shop estimate). We re super thankful we found Joel. Highly recommended.

After driving our car from Florida to Clayton, we woke up on a Saturday with a serious engine problem that was sure to ruin our trip. Joel not only answered his phone on a weekend, but he went out of his way to make sure our car was fixed so we could make the trek back home. On top of the excellent service he is just a very positive and all around good guy making us feel at ease in a stressful situation. We are SO thankful for his attention to detail and quality work.

Nothing like being 200 miles away from home and having an issue with the vehicle. Visiting my sister and had an issue when my wheel sensor. My sister called Joel and he come out same day to fix it. Really appreciate fast service and the help. Thanks y'all

Joel, the owner of CPR Automotive is not only the best mechanic I've ever used, but one of the most stand up business people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I visit Clayton often to see friends. I drive a long distance from another state. My 2015 Hyundai has 170k miles on it and has been giving me trouble for a couple of years. I even got a factory engine replacement last year, yet there were still issues. Overall, I'm not a fan of the car business, sales or service. At best there always seems to be some angle the business is working or the work is never quite right. At worst I think it's a scam and full of dishonesty. This is my experience and I'm speaking in general.This was not the case with Joel. I found him to be honest, upfront and fair. There were several repairs that needed to be done even after I took the car to two different shops the previous week at home. He gave me all of the parts to show me . No one has ever offered to even let me see the parts they claim needed repairing. I don't know much about cars so it's easy for someone to tell me I need something when I don't.Joel drove with me to where I was staying, took the car to his shop then brought the car back to me the next day. It hasn't run this good since I bought it new in 2015 (Hyundai Sonata). The check engine light has gone off for the first time in 3 years! Every mechanice I saw, even the Hyundai dealer, said it was normal with the age of my car and the trouble I was having.If it wasn't for Joel my car wouldn't have made it home. I probably would have ended up buying a new car that I didn't need and I'd be stuck owing a lot of money again. Joel is a master mechanic and an honest businessman. I highly recommend him.

I was blown away by Joel s service! He and his helper (Jake, I believe) came to the rescue when my 2006 Hummer H3 had a sudden dead battery issue. He showed up quickly, did what he said he would, and more! The absolute nicest guy to work with, and I couldn t be more grateful. Thank you CPR Automotive for having my back when I needed it most!!!

Joel is extremely professional and has very reasonable prices. My Tahoe overheated due to failure of heater core tees, and my radiator cracked. Joel installed a new radiator and new tees within 24 hrs. He will come directly to you and save a towing expense as well! Extremely satisfied and great full for his service.

Competent and honest, but not reliable.I had a brake problem while camping in the area. I contacted Joel on a Saturday evening, and he replaced my pads the following afternoon. The price was reasonable.He agreed to perform additional work while I was in town, but he did not show up at the agreed-upon time. I reached out again, and he again did not show up or call. I cannot continue traveling until the work is done, and relying on Joel resulted in two wasted days before I contacted another mechanic.

Met Joel in a hotel parking lot through a friend...he'd picked me up to work on my stranded vehicle. Since then he's done valve cover gasket, coils, v-belt work etc. This guy's business is growing for good reason. Knowledgeable, fair, legit, and the mobile repair niche is appreciated by many. My truck overheated coming across the mountain on my way to the campground. My radiator had a cracked seal and needed to be replaced. I called CPR Automotive and was immediately answered by Joel. He came out and looked at my truck, gave me an estimate on the repairs and then went to pick up the parts. He came right back and had my truck up and running in no time. Joel was amazing and professional. He gave me some advice on how to improve my truck s performance. I intend on using him next time I need a mechanic.

After a full day of driving, the engine of my SUV cut off out of the blue. Fortunately, I was within 2 miles of home and was able to find a safe place to pull off the road. The engine would start, but then immediately stall. It took several tries, but the engine finally kept running long enough to get home. A bit of research strongly suggested the problem was with a camshaft position sensor and/or a crankshaft position sensor. The dilemma was that I could not depend on the engine running long enough to get the vehicle to a shop for repair. I was considering how to go about taking the vehicle in when it dawned on me to check into mobile mechanics.A Google search turned up CPR Automotive and I gave the number a call. Joel immediately answered and we discussed my problem. He was out of town that day, but was able to arrange an appointment for the following day. Based on the symptoms, he decided he would bring the parts to save time. Everything is a little farther apart here in the rural mountains.Joel arrived and used a scanner to help confirm the diagnosis, as well as to see if the computer reported any other issues. While the scanner ran, he did a thorough visual inspection of my vehicle. The scanner verified that the two camshaft sensors and the crankshaft sensor should be replaced. Joel set off to replace those parts and completed the job in the time he estimated it would take. The final cost was no more than I would have paid at a shop (most likely quite a bit less), plus I was saved the hassle and cost of having the vehicle towed to the shop. Another nice benefit, as others have mentioned, is that the owner can be comfortable at home and taking care of things there instead of being stuck in a ship s waiting area.Having now met Joel, plus taking into account his prices and the convenience his service offers, I expect I ll be having him work on all three of my vehicles in the future. WOW! I thought this type of service did not exist anymore! Joel diagnosed problem, got the part for me, came to my home and rescued me when I was stranded without a car! He was super knowledgeable, effective and efficient. Ended up paying 30% less than other quotes, plus, I got my stuff done at home while he worked. Unbelievably honest and fair, I actually tipped him because he was so impressive. Highly recommended and hope he is blessing for his integrity and skills!Service: Electrical

After reaching out to Joel regarding mechanical issues with my car, he came out the same evening and quickly diagnosed the issues, ordered the parts and had my car complete the very next day. Very down to earth guys that are extremely honest. I took my girl's car (Lincoln mkz) in due to it over heating. I expect it to be a bad water pump. The owner and his guys towed it from my house to work on it. Ended up finding out it was the water pump and a partially blown head. They ended up getting a new engine and put in. As a result and the cars never been better. Very kind, courteous, and respectable young man and often times has either a partner or helper with him in which they are prompt and reliable,on time wether you set an appointment or call and need someone in a sense of urgency however prices for me were extremely high for the particular problem at hand but prices are fair if you would need a jump or something small & quick.

My Boss was traveling through the area and his AC went out in his vehicle. After going through all the Google searches along his route, and found CPR.
