Nice neighborhood hardware store. Helpful staff and good inventory. Part of a small local chain very well established. This store is smaller and cannot accommodate a larger garden center which is too bad but understandable due to the smaller neighborhood. So far they have usually had anything I have needed for tools or home repairs or paint or parts.

Brought in a broken patio door lock to try purchase exact same one.Sales person sold me incorrect one after looking at mine and me saying are you sure it s correct.Went back few weeks later not even to get my money back but to tell the manager her staff should be more careful when trying to sell someone something if they don t know if it s going to be correct especially when someone brings in the lock to ask for a replacementIrony was, i was only expecting an apology. Didn t even ask for my money backDid not even get that She told me I had nothing with and what am I expecting from her. So so rude.Management above her should know tbh. Now I would like my money back.Rude rude service !

Awesome customer service and expertise from the manager to the youngest staff members. Even the young folk are knowledgeable and undoubtedly kind and helpful. Great inventory and convenience of not having to sit in the PCH lot make this place an indispensable haven. Please shop local!!

I am very impressed by the team members in this store .. In particular, Liam. What a lovely attitude! So kind offering to help people to their cars, and just being all around gracious* I never liked going in this store due to the crabby old people ( of which I am an elder) I love the new fresh staff. The fellow that makes the keys is lovely as well!

Anawalt lumber has a lot of stuff needed for fixing things around the house but are a bit limited compared to the other anawalt lumber on pico and sepulveda

Jaime Vidales provided excellent customer service!! He is consistently helpful with an excellent attitude!! Truly cared to ensure I was satisfied. Customer service is the most important reason for customers to return as these days there is less focus on service. I greatly appreciate Jaime s knowledge, honesty and helpfulness!Thank you again Anawalt Palisades!!

It is wonderful to have a real hardware store in the Palisades. Manager and staff are very friendly, all wear masks and the check out stand is set up to maximize distancing.Store content is great. I was immediately able to find 95% of the things I needed.

It s not Norris hardware. That s the only reason I m rating 4 1/2 stars instead of five in reality.I ve lived in the Palisades over 35 years and I ve shopped at both (Norris, prior to their demise).They sell the same high quality products, and customer service is phenomenal.The thing that s missing, or that I truly miss about the old Norris hardware, that occupied the old Bay Theatre, that Anawalt now inhabits; is insane selection of stuff .I fix and problem solve all the time, and sometimes the solution is some obscure doodad or tool or solution, I did not know existed until I was standing in the isle.Having a local hardware store available is a blessing, I just wish the had more stuff .

Although it's amazing that once again there's a hardware store in the Palisades, unfortunately the product selection isn't as comprehensive as Norris Hardware was. Many times they don't have what I'm looking for, then it's back to driving to West L.A. or the Valley for an item. That's often necessary for most shopping when you live here. Yes, this store is smaller than the old one, but, for example, with more efficient displays they could have a useful selection of plumbing washers or cut wire in the same space like other stores do.

Very small - wish they had a garden center. However, they are very close and usually have whatever I need! Very helpful staff.

Jon, Liam and Shaquille where extremely helpful to my daughter and I ask we looked around the store for our paint and planting supplies needed for our garden. They helped us to the car with our supplies!! Thank you guys!!

So very happy to have a hardware store back in the Palisades, service is great just like the Pico location if not better.Still going strong and adding stuff...lumber etc. Stop by on a regular basis.

This place is amazing. Nas and Junior are amazing workers that are super helpful and professional. This place is very inviting and cozy. It s not that expensive either.

Anawalt's Palisades Hardware store is the only hardware store anywhere near here. The HD closest to here is off of Jefferson WayTF.I saw their shirts and had to get me one. Only $8.99
