Went here for lube & oil service for my Toyota sedan. Stephen is top notch customer service. really polite and great in communicating with what to get done. I just noticed that they don t have per hourly labor and service charge posted available inside the office unlike other shops around. But they could make a quote for parts and labor just need to ask them.They have certified professionals tech to do the services needed.One of the best family own shop in town. Would definitely recommend them rather than overpriced dealerships.

1st time getting service from Japan Auto Care and I was beyond impressed! Steven & Matt and the rest of the employees were very friendly, knowledgeable, wonderful customer service and of course, their work was top notch! They did a great job on my car and I was very pleased! They also followed up with me the next day to ensure that everything with my car was running well, and if I had any issues, to just bring it by the shop. Highly recommend and definitely coming back to get more work done.

I was referred to Japan Auto Care after going to Marco's Muffler shop in Sacramento. I called JAC and explained what problems I was experiencing (I wasn't able to pass smog and didn't know why). After getting a diagnostic and quote from them, my boyfriend and I decided to go ahead and let them fix the car.I am not a car person, so I was skeptical from the very beginning; I know that some mechanics may take advantage of people who aren't very knowledgeable about cars. I was so pleased when they explained things in such plain English! They were very transparent about what the issues were, which ones were more urgent and what was most important necessary to get my car running in good shape and able to pass smog. They did an absolutely amazing job explaining what the car parts did and how they were supposed to function. Taking the time to do this made me feel so comfortable with them and confident that I was at the right place. My boyfriend and I were so pleased with our experience, we decided to have them fix other issues with the car.Honestly they went above and beyond: During this time, I was 9 months pregnant with my first child while my boyfriend was deployed overseas. JAC made it work to get the car fixed our babys due date. They communicated with us throughout the entire time and made us feel so welcomed.Japan Auto Care was more than anything I could have expected. Knowledgeable and professional workers who provided sincere and genuine customer service. Every mechanic should aspire to be like Japan Auto Care. I give them my biggest thank you and will always be a customer of theirs.

Tock my truck in for a break job axle work and oil change. Steve explain everything that was done and the extra that was needed and not needed. I have been looking for a regular go to shop for a while and I think I have found it. Highly recommend this shop.

Japan Auto is superior to any other place I ve ever had my car serviced. I m having a problem with my clutch bearings and Steven and Matt have gone out of their way to provide me with the best customer service to make sure everything goes well. If you have any issues with your car make sure you give these guys your business and support them because it s really hard to find honest expert mechanics with integrity. These guys do it right therefore I will always support this business and if you want to make sure things are done right I suggest you do the same otherwise you re just selling yourself short on customer service and expertise. Thanks guys for all your hard work!!

Usually, I like to work on my vehicles so I am very picky when it comes to people working on my vehicles. I have enough sense to know when a professional is required and this is the only place that I go to . Matt and crew are very knowledgeable and they stand behind their work. They went above and beyond for me and ended up surprising me by fixing a unsightly dent I had in my front bumper. First class shop with quality people. Thank you very much

Just had some work done by the team at Japan Auto. They took excellent care of my car, they were able to answer all of my questions and explain everything very clearly and thoroughly. And the price at the end of the work was more than fair. They made me a customer for life!

Took a car in for a pre-purchase inspection and I was not disappointed. Everyone was super friendly, they were efficient and went over everything with me (and emailed me a copy of the inspection so I could share it with the car owner). I will definitely be back!

I was recommended this location. Tired of Lexus of Roseville Dealer Service prices. Was told I needed new brakes & resurface the rotors. I went to Japan Auto Care & was shocked on how genuine & truthful there service department is! They inspected my brakes & discovered I didn't even need a brake service yet. Saved me money & time & didn't even charge me anything! This place goes above & beyond to make sure the customer is saving money & doesn't upsell on unnecessary services that are not needed. I highly recommend this business & they will have my business from now on.

I'm sure these guys have some loyal customers, and I can see why!! From start to finish, these guys are professionals when it comes to customer service and handling repairs. The staff and techs are badasses to say the least. Brought my rusty/muddy crawler to them for some work and was ready by end of day. Pick up and drop off was a breeze, and very painless. Diag and labor was very agreeable. Especially since I work at a dealership myself as a diag technician. No complaints and would recommend this shop to anyone. They get s**t done!! Cheers fellas!! Thanks for getting my weekend wheeler back on the road!!

Had a great experience. My car had engine light on for the last 6 month, replaced 2 sensors by myself but it didn't help. I went to Japan Auto Care and after inspection they found that timing belt was previously incorrectly installed. They replaced belt and engine light went off. It was fast and price was good. Definitely will be back for future maintenance and repairs.

Dropped off with a problem.The problem just needed tightening clamps that kept the boot shaft from wobbling. Asked for an alignment, to check daylight light & replace windshield wipers.With an appointment my car was in & out.Good pricing. Use cash & they give u a % off. Call up & ask.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Japan Auto Care was very accommodating to my schedule as well very thorough and communicative as to what was going on with my car. The staff was very friendly and spoke to me in terms I understood. I've been there before and will continue to use their services as they also saved me money comparing them to my previous mechanics.

Taken 2 different cars here so far. These guys have been honest and straight forward about what my repairs were and if it was worth actually proceeding instead of just taking my money. You can tell they are true auto enthusiasts. They provide images and really go into detail about your car. They have saved me money a couple different ways.They will call you asap before doing anything unexpected. Show you around the car, lift it for you etc. Even given me info over the phone! Another big deal is the warranty on parts and service. What do you have to loose? Check em out!

I had a great experience at Japan Auto. I was very surprised that they actually calledme to give me a updates. I've always had to call other auto shops to get updates, not the other way around. Great work. Good honest people. Definitely recommended! I will be a repeat customer if the need ever arises again.Services: Electrical, Brakes

Mike was awesome. He was able to squeeze my son's car in before he had to drive back to college in Southern CA (even though he was all booked up and we had never been there before). At 160k miles I needed to find a shop that was not the dealer for my Lexus GX. These guys were the perfect answer. They know Japanese cars and we're able to prioritize the repairs. I will be back. I initially visited Japan Auto Care in 2018 with a Prius that kept overheating. They took some time replacing a broken head bolt and fixing my cracked gasket. I was very impressed with their professionalism and expertise, and I came back multiple times for minor repairs since that initial repair. Unfortunately my car started stalling again at the beginning of February 2023. Matt, at Japan Auto Care, explained a few of the possible issues I might be experiencing. He replaced my engine coils and put a UV dye in the oil of my Prius to better understand the issue... Unfortunately, the head gasket had still been causing a lot of issues... After we understood the root cause of the problem, Matt went above and beyond to fix the issue for me in the most convenient, affordable, and time-efficient way possible.I cannot express in words how grateful I am for Matt, and Jack, and the amazing team at Japan Auto Care. I've always had a hard time finding mechanics I trust because I do not understand a lot about cars. Matt and the entire team at Japan Auto Care have gone above and beyond to help me understand exactly what repairs they are performing and why, as well as providing the best prices for those repairs possible. They have even been kind enough to provide transportation for me back to my apartment complex when I have requested that help in advance.Thank you SO much for everything you all do! We have been bringing our cars here for over a decade. We have always had great service, upfront with costs and what's needed and what isn't.They work closely with the local High School and their shop program which is a huge plus in my book.

I needed to get my Honda Pilot serviced for the first time so I brought it to Japan Auto Care. Jack and Matt are awesome! They were both thorough, informative, very nice people and fun to talk to. I felt very comfortable there and trust that I was in the best hands with my vehicle. The price of the service was really reasonable and I know they were only telling me to get services done that my vehicle needed.
