This location is now a TA truck stop with several fuel pumps and a CAT scale. They offer a large parking lot and dog park. As of March 7th, 2023, the store is temporarily closed for construction.

The best stop on the highway. Clean restrooms & doggie park! Great food, perfect road snack selection, and souvenirs for everyone! Great place to stretch your legs too. :)

Passed through to get gas and snacks at 1:30am and was pleasantly surprised by super clean bathrooms and inside area. The pumps are very well lit. It felt very safe! Bryan was extremely friendly and got us back on the road quickly.

The roundish guy with with bald head glasses and medium brown completion was extremely rude and condescending wouldn't acknowledge and ignored me when asking about the location of restroom until I got right up to him then he condescendingly took me like what you can see the sign....:

The best, cleanest, well attended, and most rounded stop in this region of the 395. It's the newest, but damn do seem to give a shi-. Cleanest restrooms I've ever had the pleasure of using on this highway. They even have a driver's lounge to charge things, laundry machines, showers, a doggy park, and the people who work there are extremely helpful. Sure, gas might be pricier, but the stop justifies the additional fee. Don't like it? Go stop at some other gas station on the way and regret not having used your home toilet.

Wanted to call out DK for the great service he provided - DK came out to greet us and even found a straw for our toddler so he could more easily drink from his milk carton. DK was so kind and helpful! The restrooms and entire store were very clean too. One last note, there was woman working with DK who was also very friendly.

This place was leveled a while back... pics show a nice new building in place... I drive through here often...I'm not sure the water always worked in the old joint, but never had any trouble using the restroom, but I cannot speak for others experiences.Can't wait for the new joint to open!

Nice and clean truck stop. Met with the owner super cool guy. And the view I'll wake up to in the morning is pretty awesome.

The Chevron gas station is under construction as of November 2021. The rest stop across the street is still open.

It's a typical middle of nowhere convenience store. You won't save money buying anything here, but the prices are no worse than any other convenience store out in the middle of nowhere, especially along 395. Nothing unusually bad for what is to be expected at this sort of place. (You won't find amazing bathrooms but they aren't the worst I've seen either) They close at 10:30pm. (Written by a long haul trucker with no affiliation with this location) 3.5 stars... but rounded up to 4 because of the other negative reviews that were petty.

Place is not well maintained and the cashier there was pathetic. We had to use the restroom for our family and children and there were no sign up at first on the front doors saying restroom out of order, rest stop nearby is only option. After a couple of us went in to use the restroom, we went to trade off with the rest of our family to go back in to use the restroom and buy supplies but then the sign went up saying out of order even though it wasn't. This is poor customer service and downright disrespectful. We are not there to trash the place or do anything disrespectful to the business or worker. Plus we were going to buy supplies to provide it business but clearly this location doesn't want that. Chevron owners should look into this because this type of way the business is being run, it will be no surprise to me when you have to close that location and the workers are forced to find new jobs.

As stated by those before me, the prices are pretty steep, but that's the price you pay for convenience. Bathrooms in there are out of order still, just go to the rest area nearby to use the restrooms. Small selection of cold food, plus random items you may need. Small selection of medication and pantry items, so that was useful. Only 4 stars because no working restroom and no hot food.

Next to the store is a big paved lot where sometimes I see tractor trailers and RV s parked. The two diesel pumps for trucks are out of order. The men s restroom was functional. I got a chicken salad sandwich, an egg salad sandwich and an iced coffee from the refrigerated case.I arrived at 10:15pm and the door was locked. At 7:50am the next morning the store was open.

Really unprofessional people work here. Woman is rude and lazy. We had problem with gas and requested help few times and she didn t come out. Instead of it was sitting and looking at us from the window. Cashier was a little kid . Cause the woman is there just to give really mean answers for any questions. I m really unhappy with this place :/

Won't be back. I went in to use the restroom and then went to buy 2 8 dollar packs of jerky and a 3 dollar pack of beer nuts. I really like to try the local beef jerky as I am a long haul trucker. I noticed a tag on the country when I went to pay saying 10 cent fee for a bag. I asked the cashier as I was about to pay for my merchandise, if that fee was charged even if I am buying something. He replied in a snippy tone "of course we won't just sell you a bag". Apparently he thought it was a stupid question. So I decided to put the goods back on the shelf and take my "stupid" money elsewhere. I would have continued the sale if he would have just answered my question. Don't need that crap when I am just trying to buy something. As far as the 10 cent fee is concerned, I would suggest that the owner figure that expense into their pricing so as not to inconvenience his customers. If he wants to go environmental them offer paper bags.

Unprofessional, cashier, got ice cream and soda. Man before us paid cash he has no problem.. I pay with cash and he stares at my $20 bill up and down and by his window . Making comments to himself it was counterfeit. The federal giving away free money. I littlery put gas at this gas station once a month. Jerk. Yes im brown was it cause of that. Who knows. I pay taxes. Makes me sick the little girl inside being raised by that man.People like you make humans look like a disgrace.

I'm more speaking on the side of a Trucker, so that's how I'm rating this (sorry guys who drive cars!), There's a rest stop across the way for us truck drivers, but kept getting reviews on this place when i looked at the rest stop. If your driving and need space, this Chevron has more parking then most truck stops. People say that the supplies and food is overpriced, but honestly i didn't see much of a difference between this place and other stops ive been too. They also have some neat gifts and collectables near the front. Lady who ran the register was very nice and friendly. They'll have most things that you need for food and basic supplies here. Only thing that isn't great is that they aren't open 24 -7, so can't get anything in the middle of the night. There are a few port o-lets out in the front if you need to use the bathroom and store is closed.

Marie was very rude about a question I had, which I was asking how long till she opens the store. Her rude remark with her tone of voice was completely uncalled for, pointing at the sign saying can't you read? I know I'll never stop there again, the natives in Independence never treat me like that

This place is a clean store restroom and store itself is kept up food price a little high though this meal cost me 17 dollars the value of the dollar is not very powerful inside this store

EV Charging stations are open for business. They are EA Fast Chargers. The gas station is closed and under construction... but the EV Chargers are open for business.

Plenty of room to park, but waaaaay overpriced on stuff in the store. $1.99 for a 20 oz bottle of Coke? $1.59 for a 16 oz can? $6 for a prepackaged sandwich? Break me a give.

Planned my trip with this stop in mind. The sign says they close at 10 30. While walking to the door at 10 20 I see the two attendants make a dash to hide and the doors are locked.

Poor maintain gas station + scum. I paid $60 for my gas and pump stopped on $59.42 - not full tank, tried to push the trigger multiple times. It s a small money, but I paid it.

Bathroom out of order, have to hold the handle at the pump while you pump, no windshield wipers, and the place is so decrepit I thought it was closed.

Great selection of snacks and drinks, including the local brew I was looking for along the way. Nice post cards. Really nice store.

This is probably one of the gas stations you want to meet in your way out of Death Valley. We stopped here late to refuel and buy some stuff. Was good and is just beside the highway.
