Juan is was great to work with. He was able to help me out with my Chevy Volt and was very accommodating to the fact that I was on a tight schedule. The car runs great now and I will definitely be back. It s hard to find an honest mechanic and I m glad to have found them.

10/5 starts. We love taking our cars here and have even convinced my father to bring his cars and he lives in Newport. The prices are fair and they are always honest. The last visit was to check squeaky brakes, and they didn t charge a dime because they weren t able to make them squeak. Could have just as easily sold a new set of pads.

messed up my car pretty good. cost me over $800 because of a messy oil change. if you don't do German cars, just decline the job.

Got an old Honda that was overheating they figured it out and fixed it. Their prices are really reasonable. Juan and his dad are great mechanics. Definitely will use them again.

I'm very worried about who I allowed to work on my vehicle. It's unfortunate that you can't just trust anyone nowadays. Juan and his son Mark are two amazing individuals who go the extra mile when taking care of your car. They take the time to do the job right and communicate to you anything that could possibly affect your vehicle presently or maybe even in the future. Very affordable. I would argue that it would be super challenging (maybe impossible) to find other mechanics that provide as much value and integrity as they do. They will do their best to work with you, let you know what they're seeing and what your projected cost will be on things you might not have noticed. I've recommended countless people to them and every single one of them left as a satisfied customer. I've also known others in the neighborhood that use them and they always have great things to say, every time. I have never heard a single bad thing about these guys. I've been going to them for close to fifteen years and since finding Juan, have not let other mechanics fix my ride. No reason to because these guys go WAY above and beyond! I've been using Juan since even before Mark worked there (Dad and son team) and they are a small shop that deserves business from good customers. Never greedy. Always honest. Support local small business and do yourself a favor....go to them for your mechanical car repair needs.

One of my break caliper came off because it had a loose screw. I went here for reassurance that the new screw was ok. They lifted my car and started to tighten the screw, one of the mechanics realized that the screw was still loose but the owner made it seem like it was ok. I did not leave with reassurance. I was charged $20 but later that day the screw was loose again when I checked.I then figured out the threads of the hole where the needle goes where worn out. I went to another place to get my caliper replaced.

This was the best experience I ve had at a mechanic shop. Juan and Marcos are great, they always give me an honest assessment and are upfront about cost so there are no surprises. They skillfully solved an issue with my extremely rusty wheel bearing that saved me from replacing the hub and shaft.

went to get some regular maintenance and ask about a few minor things on my car. marcos was incredibly patient, helpful, and honest in answering all my many questions. he was nothing like the stereotypical curt, macho mechanics i've come to expect. it turns out nothing was wrong with my car after all, and he charged me NOTHING!! i felt like i couldn't accept such generosity. but i was so stunned that i couldn't think of how else to repay him!!i almost want a reason to go back so they can actually fix something (jk, i'm gonna jinx myself saying stuff like that)all i can say is how grateful i am to have found someone i can trust. it was very obvious that i'm not knowledgeable about cars, and i'm young, and a woman, so he could have easily taken advantage. but i did my research to find this place and i'm thrilled that all the reviews were true! thank you marcos!!!!!

I found Art's Service department as a suggestion from Next Door, and I'm glad that my neighbors sent me to the right place! They did a great job fixing my brakes! They suggested that I get new tires, they were very bald. I asked for a quote, and they gave me one with no pressure. I was impressed by their fast work and great customer service. Best car mechanic in Long Beach! Been going here for 3 years and they never disappoint! No games! No taking advantage of single females. They know what they are doing and respect all women that walk in needing car repairs! Prices are lowest in the city. JUAN even did my rotors and left the brake pads as they still had more life on them! What a deal!

Such an amazing experience here! Great prices (beat everyone else in the area), honest diagnoses and hard workers. I worked with Juan and he showed me exactly what was going on with my car as opposed to just telling you like most other places. Also got me in and out with no appointment within a few hours! Will definitely be back for anything else my car may need in the future.

Juan is as honest and hard-working as they come. My husband and I both got our cars brakes replaced here and some other work as well. Juan always goes through in detail everything he finds and takes the time to explain anything. Plus, he is QUICK! I can't recommend this place enough, especially for people who have a hard time finding good, honest repair shops!

I called Juan to see about a brake inspection due to some squeaking. He had me come over right away and he was able to inspect, clean and adjust them on the spot for a minimal labor fee. Honest, friendly and knowledgeable. Will be back!

Went for break check up with Jesus and Juan due squeaky noise. Jesus removed my front tires and showed me exactly that I still have a year more. He was honest and I'm glad I went to this place first. I highly recommended due their integrity and honesty. You guys are awesome! This place deserves 10 stars!

So glad to have found someone good, affordable and in the area. They even gave me a suggestion on a place to wait while I waited for my car. The Royal Cafe right across the street, saved me a trip & transportation fees back home. Juan worked on my rotors. Didn't pressure me to have any other work done. Juan made sure I understood whay work needed to be done & when my other brakes would need changing. Will be returning again.

I've been taking my cars to Art's Brake Service for 10 years. They have always done a great job on everything from brakes to engine work. Juan does a great job and I recommend him to my friends and family. Best mechanic in Long Beach.

Great experience, showed me exactly on my front and rear tires why it did or did not need replacing. Honest and done in a short amount of time. Would highly recommend and will come back.

Art's son did the oil and filter change and, like his father is a rare exception!! Terrific, quality, HONEST service WITH NO ATTEMPT TO UPSELL!!!!! Can't speak more highly of them!
