i went to crescent city for a day trip when worst comes to worst my car broke down i called kyle and he went ahead and took a look at my car (he had to close his shop in 10 minutes) and it turned out my car needed a new wheel barring unfortunately he didn t have it in his shop so out of his own kindness he drove out 3+ hours to get what he needed for my car, this is truly the best experience i ve ever had with any mechanic shop. He was so nice to drive my boyfriend and i to a hotel for the night and even picked us up the next day. He is truly the most kind, caring, and hardworking. I really liked his service so i drove back to crescent city a couple weeks later for a new serpentine belt, kyle and his staff are the BEST! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have gone to Kyle's a few times now, and I will keep going back. He fixed my Honda odyssey's mystery oil leak, chewed spark plug wiring and some other issues I had. His prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Kyle's auto.

So grateful to Kyle and Don . They helped us out in a pinch recently while we were in Crescent city on vacation, while other garages couldn't fit us in for several days, kyle had us come right over even though it was close to closing time for them .Helped with proper oil level issue. Cant thank them enough! Great friendly service!!

My wife and I were traveling through Crescent City in a rental car. After running over a large branch in the road a loud noise could be heard when the car was moving. We had over 300 miles to go to San Francisco and were concerned the car might not make it. We stopped at Kyle's unannounced. He immediately put the car on the rack, found the problem and repaired it (some bent housing around the differential). He charged us nothing and wished us good luck the rest of the trip. We couldn't believe it. I'm sure Kyle does not do much work for free, but the way he treated us tells me all I need to know about his character and honesty. The problem was fixed for good. We wish Kyle's was located in our city. He would be our mechanic for life.

Shop came highly recommended from our hotel. Friendly and accommodating. Were able to squeeze our appointment in early after a cancellation. Communicated everything thoroughly and fixed others mistakes. Even emailed us the report for convenience without us even having to ask. This place was amazing. I showed up without any appointment or notice ahead of time with overheating, coolant and whatever other issues. Though I didn't have time to get it fixed, they were kind enough to immediately help a bit of diagnosing, problem solve and give me solutions for how to safely get around while I needed to dispute the issues. They gave me amazing peace of mind and were extremely nice as well. Thank you for making a stop along on a road trip that much less stressful!

After driving through a 12 deep puddle on my way to Fern Canyon my check engine light came on and my car started blowing smoke and sputtering down the road. I went into straight panic mode as I had to get back to Los Angeles in a couple days, but when I called Kyle he immediately put me at ease. I took my car in the next day and he fixed it up enough for us to be able to use while we waited for the spark plugs he ordered to arrive the following morning. The next day he had me in and out of the shop in under an hour as promised. He truly is such a nice guy and I can t express enough the amount of gratitude I have for him taking us in on such short notice. I will mention he said that we were lucky it wasn t peak season as he s usually very booked up, but again couldn t have had a better experience and feel lucky to have met such a kind mechanic being in the situation I was in.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Auto engine diagnostic

Like many others I had car trouble in Crescent City during a vacation and Kyle literally saved the day. I don't think I can say enough good things about what a competent and efficient mechanic he is, plus what a decent and kind person he is. Our alternator died and left us dead in the water at almost 4 pm. He was able to look at it that day and assess what it needed (a new alternator, which apparently happens a lot for folks visiting there), and arrange to get the part delivered from Eureka the next day and he said should be able to get it installed then and have us on our way. Everything he said he'd do actually happened, and the quote he gave us the first day was exactly what he charged the next. Plus he replaced a battery connection and tightened up a radiator hose. It was a miracle. We were back in action so quickly it was almost like it never happened. ALSO: the day we brought our car in, our cab ride to the rental car place failed to show after an hour and a half, and Kyle offered to take us to the rental car place, again literally saving the day since we would have not been able to get to the rental car place in time otherwise. He is a real mensch and it was a blessing that he was able to take our car in. There's no AAA-approved car repair shop in Crescent City but I can HIGHLY recommend Kyle for your auto needs.Service: Electrical

About a month ago, my car broke down in the redwoods while I was camping and my tow truck driver brought me to Kyle's shop. I had my dog with me and really needed to get back to where I lived over 2 hours away that night. Kyle was able to identify the problem and fix it and send me on my way. He also saw the urgency of my situation and made it a priority to get my car working. Amazing service, knowledgeable, and super kind! P.S. I have a saab and even with advance notice many shops refuse to work on it at all! I really appreciate it and will be making the 2.5 hour trip to get my car checked out fully by Kyle's shop before driving across the country because of how great of an impression I was left with. Thanks Kyle!

THANK YOU!!I would highly recommend this shop. We pulled in with out an appointment with our 80 s RV with a transmission issue and Kyle and Don were kind, professional and helpful from the get go. I really appreciated the way he explained everything in a easy to understand manner and included me in the whole process. I felt respected and consulted the whole time. He had a way of explaining options that made me feel empowered and never made me feel neither guilty nor alarmed.They went absolutely above and beyond in prioritizing getting us back on the road as soon as possible. The new transmission we needed was not easy to find and Kyle was determined and creative in helping us track one down ASAP so we could get back on the road. The quality of the work was remarkable and I feel lucky to have ended up here on our road trip catastrophe.

Kyles Auto was such a blessing to find if I could give ten stars I would. Kyle is a honest hard working man, and his lady who works the front desk is so kind and good at her job. I broke down with engine problems on the side of the highway last year in Crescent City in my 88 Chevy camper van. Turned out I needed a new engine. I called 3 shops in Crescent City and two of them told me I needed a new engine from over the phone and told me not to bring it to their shop!? Then I called Kyles auto, he was so kind about my situation and even though knowing it might be a big project van he still wanted me at his shop. He went above and beyond for me that day. He got me in touch with a taxi, made sure my van made it to the shop safely and got us the diagnosis all that same day. I needed a new engine, but Kyle wasn t discouraged. He got me the options for a new engine, let me go back home to Florida to make a decision where I was comfortable. He found me a great new engine for a very reasonable price and told me I can pick it back up when I m ready(within reason). I got my camper back a few month later when I could get off work to make the trip. I m so happy with my camper! He did an amazing job with the engine and fixed a ton of little things that needed to be done just from the age of the van. I was so scared on the side of the road, i was 25 I m female and had my three pets with me. Kyle literally saved the day. I can not speak highly enough of this shop and his business. Thank you again Kyle you were answered prayers! Sorry it took me so long to write the review!

Our Mercedes E320 broke down outside of Crescent City during a vacation in the area. A number of locals recommended that I take the car to Kyle's. We were in a time crunch, because I had to get back to the bay area in a few days, and Kyle was kind enough to look at it promptly. We ended up deciding to sell the car and Kyle let me leave it in his lot for the tow truck to pick it put. During the ordeal, I felt grateful to have Kyle's input and trusted his opinion. I strongly believe he is an honest mechanic, which is hard to come by where I live. Also, Kyle never charged me for any of his troubles. Highly recommended.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

We were very grateful for the fine help we received from Kyle s. They were thorough, aware and careful of time ( we were renting a car) and they did a great job with our car. Several long term issues he was able to diagnose and fix! His prices were very reasonable, even kind. Reflecting only the work that was done and reasonable time for labor.

Kyle and his crew are the friendliest, quickest, smartest, most honest mechanics hands down!!! Very reasonable prices too!My car broke down on my way back to Oregon, and Kyle had it back on the road in under 4 hours!What a lifesaver you guys are! I would highly recommend Kyle s auto repair to anyone in the Crescent City area.I hope you enjoyed the beer, you boys deserved it. Also I apologize to Curtis, I didn t think to get him something different.

Kyle and his father went above and beyond in service. We were on our way home from a camping trip with our trailer in tow when we suddenly lost power. We were able to pull over. We had to leave the trailer at the pull out. We were towed to Kyle's shop on advice of the tow driver. Kyle diagnosed the problem in less than a minute. A faulty fuel pump. He had the repair done the next day. This all happened on a Sunday. Sunday's and Mondays are his days off.To top that, he picked up our trailer and brought it back to the campground on Sunday afternoon so we had a place to stay while he did the repair. He also gave the truck a check over.Kyle is an excellent mechanic. The price was right.He and his dad are the salt of the earth. I will be forever grateful to them. THANKS!

About two weeks ago I was traveling with my mom from Eugene Oregon where I bought a 1971 vw beetle and was driving back to St. Louis mo. when we heard a clicking noise and decided to stop for the night and find a mechanic in the morning. The next morning we found Kyle and he took a good look at it to make sure nothing was going to fall off end the trip on a very sad note. He was a great guy and we did make it through the redwoods and all the way home with no issues. Had my local guy check it out and it seems like it s in the same shape as when we started the trip. Just wanted to say thanks Kyle you helped save our peace of mind. Excellent friendly service. Go to Kyle if you are in need.

Kyle really saved not only the day, but our entire trip, and a lot of money. We rolled into town with a bad vibration under acceleration and was seeking an opinion on how bad the issue was. We got a fair, honest diagnostic and estimate and Kyle s worked us in that day so we could get back on the road across 8 states. If I lived in Crescent Kyle would be my mechanic. If you re traveling I would trust Kyle to be fair and honest. If I could give more stars, I would.

Thank heaven for Kyle's Auto Repair! Passing through Crescent City on our way back to Utah & Kyle's shop was the only place willing to replace our fuel pump on a weekend with short notice - and gave us a honest price. We were back on the road in a few hours. :)

So helpful and generous. We are on a road trip and had a car emergency and they helped us out so much. Don t know what we would have done without them. Very professional and had such cute, nice dogs. Absolutely would recommend Kyle s to anyone.

I was passing through town when my check engine light came on, and I wanted to get it read before I headed up into the country.Kyle was *super* helpful in diagnosing my truck, and gave me a zero-pressure explanation of what my options were to get it fixed up. His quotes for the work were very reasonable as well.I had a great experience all around, and will recommend his shop to anyone in the Crescent City area.

Stopped in unannounced on Friday morning. I told them I was 3000 miles from home and engine wasn t running right and check engine light on. I was told they were booked up but he could look at it and tell me what my problem was. 45 minutes later my van was running smoothly and I returned to my vacation. At a reasonable price. These guys are polite, efficient and excellent mechanics!

This shop did a fantastic job on our '02 Subaru Forester that had been sputtering up hills for a while now. They tracked down the issue quickly enough, and now our car has power again up hills again and no stalling, running super smooth! Cost for the repairs was very reasonable, and they really stayed in communication over email and phone as to the status of the repair process, keeping us informed. Thank you Kyle's Auto in beautiful Crescent City, CA!

My family and I (6 of us and 2 dogs) were on vacation. I was pulling a 30 foot travel trailer. My fuel injector went out (i had no idea what it was). We were referred to Kyle's by O'reilly auto parts (thanks). Curtis and Kyle took great care of us. We were in and out in 3 hrs, his family entertained our kids while they worked hard to get us back on the road. They started with the filter and figured out the issue rather quickly was the injector. He kept me appraised the entire time of what they were doing and how costs would work. I really felt like he was treating us like family. Affordable, Friendly, kind and considerate. Go there ifyou want to be treated right.

My service experience at Kyle's could not have been better. When our Subaru broke down on a Sunday and we had to be towed, Kyle was right there to check out the problem. He replaced the timing belt the following day and had us back on the road. I found the folks at Kyle's to be cheerful, efficient and fair. A rare thing these days! Thanks guys!

Brother's ford tranny started blowing smoke coming out of the redwoods. We got a ride to Kyle's to see what the cost of repair would be. After explaining the problem, Kyle made some simple suggestions that may or my not help/fix the issue. Suggestions that did not envolve major repair, or Kyle's shop for repair.Thanks Kyle for saving us major costs we didn't have the money to pay for. Mostly thanks for being an honest straight up guy. I'd highly recommend you and your shop to anyone.We were from out of state and actually looking to get taken to the cleaners. Nice running into you and your shop.Yes his suggestions fix the problem, for now. Got us back on the road.

My son moved to Cresent City. I live in San Luis obispo county. So when my other son decided to go live in Cresent City. He needed a car he is only 19 needed to move around for work. My older son told him I have a car you can have it needs work it shuts off whenever your stopped that's how we ended up at Kyle's automotive repair.I called and explained to Katie what was going on with the Chrysler 300 Katie assured me that Kyle her brother could figure it out. By the way did I mention Katie's great customer service she was awesome to me and my boys. Kyle figured out the problem gave me a call we gave him the go a head.Kyle fixed the car at a reasonable rate Kyle did not take advantage of the situation because I was not in town and was communicating with him on the phone or when he was dealing with my boys. Kyle gave me peace of mind by inspecting the car to make sure there was nonething else wrong with it because my son would be driving it. He did this at no extra charge. We were very satisfied customers we recommend Kyles automotive repair to anyone in need of auto service if you are traveling this is were you need to stop. Great customer service reasonable price and very trustworthy we give them 5 stars.

Finally , a automotive repair shop I can trust , I took my truck here because several friends reccomended kyles , after being ripped off by another shop ..kyles fixed the other shops mess they made of my clucth and did a laundry list of other repairs, the work was done in a timely manner and work was performed properly, at a very fair price . My truck runs awesome again and I am very happy with my experience at kyles . I would highly recommend kyles to have your baby repaired....thank you kyles ....

These guys were so great! I was driving home to Canada from California when my car started leaking massive amounts of coolant, so I found these guys on Google and gave them a call.They were able to fit me in that evening, even though they were about to close, and were able to get me fixed up and back on the road in under an hour.Such friendly, personable service, with totally affordable prices. Thanks guys!
