The location of this Inn was perfect as it was right across Moonstone beach. It has a great breakfast place and a dinner/lunch place to dine at (about 1min drive and a 4min walk). The location was very clean for the most part. I did notice that they updated their rooms to look more modern. But some areas where they updated, I felt they cut corners. The patio door rails and the screen doors and the lock were not secure. They could easily be forced open. When we stayed, it rained for 2 of the 3 days we were there. It initially rained subtly, but rained hard later. The patio door eventually had water seeping in, which created a puddle...unfortunately our child was the 1st to stumble on it, and fell while running around. Luckily he was not hurt much. But as you can see in the photo, you can see the water puddle and we had to use towels to block any further puddles from forming. We reported this to the front desk, but they only said they will look into it. Hopefully they will fix it...I would have liked to get a refund for at least one night of the stay from this, but they did not offer me anything but an apology.Safety: Need to install better locks on the patios and make sure water stays out during rainy days.

Staff was kind and the location was amazing. The water pressure was horrible. At times the hot water would just stop due to lack of pressure. The bed also was very small. The staff informed me it was a motel king at check out but when I completed a survey regarding my stay the manager reached out and told me it was a regular king and all they have at the location are king and queens. I asked her if my room was a king and she said it was a traditional king. This seems impossible because I am only around 5 4 and I was taller than the bed was wider. I also sleep in a king every night and that definitely wasn t it. The mystery bed, I guess? I got a good deal on the room because I stayed midweek but don t know if I would stay at full price. The location was truly amazing there are a few others right next to it you might want to check out before booking.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Fireside Inn. We had a partial view of the ocean from the room but could sit outside on our patio for full view. The King room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom also had plenty of space, but water pressure was a little iffy. You could walk to other hotels and tasting rooms along Moonstone Beach. The beach was right across the street.Rooms: We had a King with a partial view and the room was very spacious. The view was wonderful. We could sit outside on the small patio and see the ocean.Walkability: You could walk across the street to access the boardwalk along the ocean. You could walk to Moonstone Grill, but I can only recommend the drinks; food, not so much.

Walls are thin, we could hear the neighbor's conversations clearly. After getting home and reviewing my visa bill, I realized they had slipped in an additional charge of $10 after we checked out which they told me was likely for the two small bottles of water they put in our room which we drank. There was no indication that the water cost anything.Don't use their wi-fi service, regular speed will cost you $20. They offered coffee in the morning, but for the price of the place, it would have been nice to get a bun or crackers or something to go along with it.Very disappointing - look elsewhere.

We were absolutely thrilled with our accommodations; the rooms were notably spacious, offering a bounty of towels and complimentary coffee/tea, which we greatly appreciated. The luxury of an in-room bath and pool access was the cherry on top of our stay. Practical amenities like the dispensers for shampoo and body wash were small but significant conveniences. Stepping out to an ocean view and being right at the boardwalk's doorstep elevated our experience to spectacular. The Cow Tipper became our go-to breakfast spot within walking distance, and the proximity to Hearst Castle, just an 11-minute drive, was perfect for our sightseeing plans, with downtown s bustling scene only 4 minutes away by car.The highlight, however, was the hotel s concierge service; upon deciding to extend our stay, they seamlessly transitioned us to a new room at 11 am, sparing us the inconvenience of a typical check-out and later check-in process. Their flexibility and eagerness to accommodate us without the hassle of waiting added an extra layer of ease to our extended vacation. A special thanks to Maria!

This was the perfect stay. I was expecting a typical beach hotel stay and I was surprised with so much more. We upgraded to an Ocean View with a patio room and it was fantastic! The room had the perfect view which we enjoyed by spending a couple of hours just sitting on the patio drinking wine enjoying the view. The bed was so comfortable we did not want to get up. Overall, a fantastic stay. We enjoyed it so much we already booked another stay but this time, we're staying 3 nights instead of one.Rooms: This was the perfect stay. Location was good; first night was good. Second day inn broke through our bathroom wall behind the toilet such that you could see from the next room into our bathroom--there was dry wall all over our floor. I went and got a manager; he said they were fixing a leaking toilet in the next room. Manager said they had no other rooms to move us but would clean it up and patch up the wall. We were gone all day and came back late that evening to find a poorly taped over hole and very moldy and musty smell through out the room from the toilet leak--we had to leave the bathroom fan on all night. Spoke with inn employee upon checkout and she assured me the manger would get back to us---it's been over a week and still no word. Any other place in Cambria would be better than this place. Additional Note: Pacifica, the company that owns this poorly managed hotel, owns 5 other hotels in Cambria--choose wisely.

Location is beautiful, and the rooms are spacious and clean. However they have breakfast delivered and NO table and chairs in your room to eat. It seems weird, seeing as the rooms are large. I was also a little disappointed in the lack of air conditioning, the tower fan was appreciated but with new renovation it seems like a silly thing to be missing.

Nice clean room; excellent location; refrigerator in room did not work and front desk would not fix; no thermostat in room; no instructions on how to use the fireplace; no table and chair in room (had to drink coffee in bed); ice machine was broken; no Kuerig available just regular coffee maker.Walkability: Just steps away from the boardwalk on Moonstone Beach.

The property was recently redone and the rooms are lovely. Service was fantastic and the location across from Moonstone Beach can't be beat. They have a great option to get food from their sister property delivered to your room very quickly using a special QR code that makes it super easy to get breakfast and other food/drinks delivered to your room which was a great convenience. We didn't have a chance to use it but they have a heated pool as well. Would definitely stay here again!

Really nice place, in room 206, fireplace, nice bathroom, king bed, small patio, partial view ocean,.only thing would be the shower water was not very hot. They had a pool, but didnt smell any chlorine in pool, it looked clean but still.i wished they had outdoor fire pits like the other hotels.Maria and Angel and Sherri were very accomodating and i would give them a 10 for customer service ..Really nice place..

Great location ... downhill from there! What hotel runs out of toilet paper, promises to freshen room and does not follow through, requires you to go to the office to pick up items, provides no room furniture except a bed and 2 slipper chairs to sit on for a 3 day stay. No shower safety bar, dangerous loose stones around the patio wall ... public areas for ocean viewing had filthy tables with chair cushions that were shredding.

Still here, experience has been great. The king room with patio was thoughtfully laid out and bigger than expected. Location s perfect, nicer than two other hotels I ve stayed at in Cambria on Moonstone. My sweet friends had a bottle of champagne sent to our room for my birthday - my friend complained they didn t get the note exactly right - but I don t think that justifies knocking a star off. You get options for cleaning service of your room, which is nice if you re not into warding off housekeeping while you re getting ready for your day. Just go to the lobby and ask for coffee cups and pods when you run out.A note for the hot sleepers - no AC but a standing fan is provided. It cools off considerably at night near so I d suggest using your screen door. Bath/shower does not get hot hot. We had some ants in the bathroom due to the wet weather outside.
